We stayed at this hotel casino located on the Fremont Street Experience for 3 weeknights at the end of February 2008. The room was $40/night. We were given an upgrade to the North Tower which we had read on travel websites had "newer", "bigger" rooms. Our room was big, but it was very outdated (e.g., bed was uncomfortable, stains on couch/chairs, hole in upholstery on furniture). The plumbing was also less than desirable. We were on the 9th floor, and before every shower you had to run the water for 5 minutes before it would be warm. Then you had to turn off the tap and wait for the tub to drain (approx 2 mins) before you could begin your shower. By the end of a 10 minute shower there was a few inches of water in the bottom of the tub b/c the drain was very slow draining due to clogging. But we cannot deny how cheap it was - perhaps we got what we paid for. We ate at a great buffet across the street at the Vegas Club's sister hotel - The Plaza - but not once did we eat in our own hotel. The streets were clean and safe and nightly entertainment was plentiful. For $5 you can purchase a 24-hour bus pass for The Deuce to make your way to the "new" Strip on Las Vegas Blvd South, but the nightlife on Fremont St. was great as well.

Tried downtown Vegas one more time, decided to stay on Fremont Street, which was really cool. The hotel is on the corner which is great, its a really convenient location, close to everything. You can walk everywhere. Very friendly staff for the most part. There was one manager at the front desk that was rude, other than that, everyone was really nice.

Had a few problems, had to switch rooms. One room had a leak in the toilet and the carpet was soaking wet and smelled like sewer. Asked for another room and when we got in there the a/c was broken and the room was over 100 degrees but the maintenance guy came right in and fixed it in less than 10 minutes. Uncomfortable beds, no ice in any of the machines except on one out of 16 floors. Restaurant is way too expensive, the casino is small, construction being done inside the casino the entire time. The parking garage was full each night and it took forever driving around to find a spot, one night we had to have valet watch our car because there was nowhere to park. The rooms are old, dirty floors, tiny bathrooms, barely working tv, wallpaper peeling off. But aside from the actual hotel being a little scummy, the location, staff and surroundings made up for it. I don't think I'd stay at this particular hotel again unless it was in the north tower, we stayed in south tower (the older, grosser one.)

We stayed at Las Vegas Club from Feb 16 - feb 21st. We had free rooms for two of the nights. We always upgrade to the North tower rooms. Large rooms and quiet. They really need to be remodeled, new furniture, beds, and a safe but for the price oh well. They finally added a blow dryer, ironing board and iron and a radio clock. I love the casino but they have taken out most everything from the back except a few games and we encountered alot of homeless and some scary people. They even stole my husbands jacket one night. Security said that they could not afford to have any additional security back there to watch these people.............Over all for the price we will definately stay again. When we got home we had a free night offer in the mail already for June. Just dont expect a 3 star hotel.

They say you get what you pay for, and it's true. For the price, we didn't expect new carpet and didn't get it. A bummer is no coffee maker! There is a stand that has pretzels and coffee accross from the gift shop. We stayed last weekend and were put in the North tower, which we didn't have to haggle or pay extra for. The room was very large, having a seating area past the bed, that has both a couch and 2 chair spread out by the window. We were on the 9th floor and had a view of most of the California Hotel and Casino and a bit of Main Street Station Hotel and Casino. The slots in the (Las) Vegas Club are as loose or as tight as the rest of Fremont street. Overall, we had no complaints about our stay.

We love Freemont Street so we decided to stay in a low priced Hotel. I cant say anything about the Casino as we went to Gamble on the Super Bowl(won big) and the Club no longer has a Sports Book. It was clean enough, but we paid extra for the North Tower, and when arriving that section had no Hot Water,so they gave us the South Tower, but did not refund the difference. The room was comfortable and clean enough. Its not Mandalay Bay,nor does it cost like it. With easy access to Freemont right out the front door,we elected to Gamble at the Plaza and Golden Nugget. It is what it is,cheap and old,but friendly and convientent.
I would only stay here for the room, nothing else is updated we saw as far as Bars and Casino. I say its OK>
