This is a mixed review. We rented a unit from Las Vegas Strip Rental. The representative confirmed that we had a unit with a view (1176) and that the unit was gorgeous. Not only did it not have a view, but the bedrooms had floor to ceiling vertical blinds that were missing several sections, leaving openings that were as wide as 2 feet. The bedrooms faced a construction walkway with workers going back and forth. There was no privacy in the bedrooms to the construction workers, plus the unit needed to be updated, nothing gorgeous. Mike in Security was able to find another unit for us that had a view and was beautiful for the same rate. The location is terrific, you can walk to so many places, having your own kitchen is very handy. The free valet is convenient, but if you leave on a Sunday, call ahead for your car. We had to wait for over 20 minutes for ours. Having free internet was great, the staff was nice overall.

I booked the Jockey Club for one night during the MLK weekend. The hotel is actually quite a misfit in Las Vegas! It is located in between Belargio and a huge construction site called the City Center. When every other hotel has 1000+ room with casinos, high floor numbers and extravegent lobbies, this all-suite hotel/serviced apartment only has a few floors, a few hundred rooms/suite, no casino.

Pros
- Loved the location - one of the best location actually. You step out and see Balargio, Planet Hollywood, Paris and more.
- Loved the large rooms - all-suites, included pull out sofa bed, good size kitchen, two TV
- Loved the walk-in closet and it was quite large
- Great service/staff
- A hospitality lounge with free DVD rentals, coffee and tea, and popcorn all day
- Very clean
- Free valet parking for hotel guests
- cheap prices!
- Since this hotel is cater for long-stay packages also, there are a lot of features that are quite unique, like 2 weekly grocery trips, social nights/cocktail hours, etc

Cons
- Not the typical extravegent lobbies/furnishings, in fact lobby was quite small
- A little old
- No views at all on about 50% of the rooms. one of the sides faces the Balargio fountains, but the other side faces a huge brick wall that the City Center development made, so absolutely NO view at all, other than the huge concrete wall
- Small pool
- Long walks from lobby to the "second" wing of hotel rooms

However, I do recommend the Jockey Club, given the great location, low prices, and comfortable accomodation

I was a little skeptical about the reviews I had read prior to booking my stay at the Jockey Club but decided to go for it anyway due to the low cost. Some friends and I share birthdays in February and decided to meet up in Vegas for a little get together. The Jockey Club is next door to the Bellagio and across the street from Planet Hollywood - excellent location! After checking in we arrived to the room which was supposed to be a one bedroom and ended up with a two bedroom suite with a kitchen, dining room, living room with pull out sofabed and two bathrooms. To top that off the rooms were facing the dancing fountains at the Bellagio. Awesome! Although the furniture is a little dated, the accomodations were still very nice and clean. I was able to peek into the rooms across the hall and they were more modern but they did not have the view that we had from that side of the building. This property is basically for time share owners however they do accomodate other clientele. There is a pool and fitness area, also you can go downstairs and rent DVD's if you just want to relax. We ended up staying in one night as a friend had to much to drink and instead of leaving her we stayed in and watched movies. Since we were there for a week we knew we had time to go out on other nights. We took in some shows - Zumanity -erotic show (Cirque Du Soleil), Queens of Las Vegas (longest running drag show in Vegas and Mystere (Cirque Du Soliel), don't forget Madame Tussauds Wax Museum next to the Venetian. Also the Forum Shops At Caesars, the M & M factory for the kids and the Harley Davidson Store where you can pick up some cool biker t-shirts are in walking distance from Jockey Club. Since I believe the City Center has now been erected, the construction next to the Jockey Club should be less. Although some people complained about the construction noise in the other reviews, we barely heard anything. We all enjoyed our stay.

Stayed at The Jockey Club through a timeshare exchange. We stayed from Dec 26-Jan 2. The Jockey Club is a nice option on the strip. It has no casino or restaurants, but there are a ton of those on the strip anyway. We loved the location in the middle of the strip and right across from the Miracle Mile shops.

After reading many reviews on The Jockey Club I called ahead and requested a room with a view of the fountains and were told it is on a first come first serve basis. Our plane was delayed a few hours and didn't arrive until 1AM. The staff was not very friendly upon arrival and were told we could not get a room with a view. We ended up with a view of a concrete wall. We had a 1 bedroom 1 bath unit. The unit was spacious and clean. Housekeeping only cleaned our room once during the entire week. They would get us fresh towels, but did not bother to change the over flowing trash can. Overall a decent place to stay (especially since ours only cost us our exchange fee) and I would stay again. As for the construction we only heard it a few days, but we were there over a holiday week. It seeemed to start about 8AM and go until maybe 8PM.

Also, we saw a few shows.

Hypnosis show - Mesmerized with Marc Sarvard at the V theatre at Planet Hollywood. Great show! Very funny! After seeing mesmerized and liking it so much we decided to see the dirty hypnosis, Unleashed, show at Krave at Planet Hollywood. Not near as good as the Mesmerized. It seemed like a bad knockoff of Mesmerized. Marc Sarvard puts on way better show that I would see again!

Cique de Soleil - Mystere at Treasure Island. Great show. Amazed at the the things these people could do. Expensive, but worth it. I would pay the 200+ over again.

Steve Wyrick Magic Show - Terrible. This guy is very cocky and his tricks are not very good. Don't waste your money! Only reason you might want to go is if you have a 5 year old, maybe he/she might be impressed with the show.

Mac King Comedy/Magic Show at Harrahs. I read the show was pretty good, so I went to Harrahs to get tickets and they gave me free ones. You actually have to pay $10/ticket, but get a free alcoholic beverage with each ticket. The drinks were strong! The show was great. Very funny and good magic tricks. Would see this show again.

Able to stay at this property through a timeshare exchange via my brother-in-law. I went for a conference and we are are not gamblers. It was nice to not have to stay in a casino, but still be near all the activity of the Strip.

The Jockey Club is located smack-dab in the middle of the Strip. You are within walking distance of Bellagio, Planet Hollywood, Paris and maybe Bally's. Lots of good dining, gambling and sight seeing just outside your doorstep! That said, your options in the Jockey club are limited. There is a mini-mart with a limited selection--good for desperation items forgotten at home, bottle of water or postcard only, IMHO. Beyond that there is not much offered for amenities...The pool is small, but good for a dip or quiet moment as was never crowded.

The front desk is a bit curt and not very helpful. I interacted with them twice, and both times seemed a little annoyed. I did not use the concierge, but they attacked us on two occasions to offer a "free dinner" and didn't seem any different than the hawkers on the street...

The construction is a little annoying. Every morning we awoke to loud "back-up" beeps of construction equipment. Usually beginning around 7AM. But that was it, and the beeping was inconsistent. We asked about being moved to a different room and were told that "all rooms are loud--at least you have a view." We asked to be on the Bellagio side, and, did indeed have a great view.

The rooms were standard. I was *very* impressed by the WALK-IN closet, so nice to have LOTS of room for luggage etc. TV in bedroom and living room. Pocket doors to close of bedroom from living area was nice. Stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher and coffee maker. Full set of dishes, pots/pans etc. Must proved own food, little package of coffee provided each day. Housekeeping was good--clean towels and empty trash every day and made up bed.

In closing, there was nothing spectacular about this property, but also nothing terrible compared to a typical hotel stay. But the location was *great* and nice to not be located in a casino.
