Stayed at the Flamingo 4/23 thru 4/27. Had our room comped, so we weren't expecting the Taj Mahal, but were extremely satisfied. Didn't
even have to ask for an upgrade. Cheryl at check-in asked if we would
like a Go room. Didn't have any for the 23rd, but she set got us one for the 24th - 26th at only $30 per night. Our original room was very
nice, but the Go room was GREAT! Never had a TV in a bathroom mirror,
so I was impressed. We were on the 27th floor overlooking the strip with a great view of the Bellagio fountains. Well worth the $30 per night. The Garden Buffet is NOT worth the money at all. $15 per person for breakfast. Honestly, I've had better at McDonalds. Other than that, we absolutely LOVED the Flamingo. Great location, great staff, GREAT FREE ALCOHOL. Will reccomend to everyone and definately will return. One side note - Saw Vinnie Favorito at O'Sheas - right next door. Go see him. He's hilarious. Cost only $45 for 2. He reminds me of a FUNNY Don Rickles. Any questions about particulars, don't hesitate to ask. *Tried to post room photos, but they were too big. If you're interested let me know, and I can e-mail some.*

We stayed at Flamingo last week, 2 nights comped. We arrived around noon on Sunday and were told no rooms available until between 4-6 pm. Huh? On a Sunday?? Asked about an upgrade to a GO room, was told $45 extra per night. We went for the GO room which was very nice. However, the entire check-in process was a nightmare! The line was long, (again,.....on a Sunday?) and the clerk we encountered had a serious attitude problem. Her name was Gina . She spoke so softly we could hardly hear her and she refused to speak up. (we are not hearing impaired, either) Having to ask her to repeat what she said was getting quite tedious, to say the least. She said there were no free up-grades and even upped the price from $40 to $45 per night extra for the GO room. We came back around 5:00 and the room was ready. Another thing Gina did was tell us that the Toni Braxton sign does not interfere with the Strip view. Well, I know otherwise. Frankly, they have a lot of nerve charging extra for that strip view when you have to look through a "film" which takes away from the view. Luckily, our room was on the Barbary Coast side with a Bellagio view.
GO room was clean and quite nice. ...no complaints. Bed was comfortable, white duvet nice. We asked for more towels and soap and within minutes, someone appeared at the door.
The slots were VERY tight, almost maddeningly tight. Drink service was scant. Valet parking was fine.
Had breakfast at the buffet which was fine, nothing special but certainly OK. However, that evening we made the mistake of having dinner at the buffet and it was really terrible! Prime rib was cooked so well-done it looked like a pot roast, the salads were tasteless, the only decent things were the desserts. Save yourself some $ and go elsewhere. $40 for 2 for a mediocre-at-best buffet is way too much.
I would stay at the Flamingo again but eat and gamble elsewhere.
I'm giving this hotel a so-so rating because of the snotty attitude of the desk clerk , the not so great buffet and the tight slots. Now that Harrah's has a monopoly, they have tightened up the slots so much that they've taken the fun out of Vegas. Harrah's are you listening????? People are getting tired of donating to your casinos and not getting any play or small wins. You just may start losing customers like us who might find it a better value to go to Cancun.

Just back from Vegas...good times!!!

This trip I stayed at the Flamingo for the first time and I have to report that it wasn't all that bad. It looks as if they've remodeled most of the floors & rooms and the colors on the walls and hallways do take some getting use to at first (see photographs I've sent along).

The rooms are comfortable with a nice comfy bed and flat plasma screen TV's hung on the wall. The bathrooms are somewhat small and mine did not have a tub - only shower, but did have a small screen tv right above the sink (makes it nice to catch up on some worldly news while getting ready for a night out).

The pool area is spreadout with lots of trees and walkways. If your looking for strickly sun areas...might be a little difficult to find with all the landscaping around. The only real nice warm day was my last in Vegas so the pool area became populated very early...little difficult to find a lounge chair anywhere.

Overall my 3 nights at Flamingo were positive. There is a connection right into Paris, if your luck in Flamingo is running bad it's a short walk into the Paris casino (which I did have better luck in).

I would stay at the Flamingo again and the location right in the middle of the strip is also a nice feature.

First trip to Las Vegas, this hotel was in a perfect location and very reasonably priced. We had a room on 24th floor, full strip view which was fab. Our room was tired in decor but spotlessly clean, the beds were extremely comfortable. Shower was lovely and powerful and no problems with temperature. We had no queue at check in (arrived Thursday about 7.30pm) and ordered room service for breaskfast twice, it turned up slap bang on time and very friendly staff. We did the express check out over the internal phone so no need to queue at desk which was very convenient.
We did get free drinks whilst on the slots, as we did in all the other hotel casinos - great!
We didn't eat in the hotel restaurants so can't comment on that.
All in all, would definitely recommend this hotel for its location and value for money. If you want a flashy room you'd be better off at one of the other more expensive hotels but why pay the extra as all you need is a place to lay your head after a hard day and night and a decent shower!

  • Liked — Friendly staff and location on the strip
  • Disliked — No coffee making facilities in room

Stayed at the Flamingo because of price and location even though not all of the reviews were great. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone. Location, location, location! The staff was friendly and helpful when needed. The hotel, casino and rooms were clean. The machines did pay out some and the drinks kept coming. O'Sheas next door was great in the morning for $5.00 blackjack and the best Bloody Marys for breakfast.
