Our first visit to Las Vegas. The check-in at the Airport was efficient, charged $14 for a $10.50 return Bus fare. Told we would be getting an upgraded room, hate to see a standard room. It was a reasonable size room overlooking the Strip, confused with the mesh on the window, which turned out to be the hair of Toni Braxton who's Image is plastered over the front of the Hotel. The view through the mesh was Bellagio and Caesar Palace Hotels. The furniture was well worn, wallpaper seen better days, however the Bathroom was well equiped, complete with a Shower which would'nt stop running. Could have done with a Coffee maker in the room.
The Elevators we found to be very efficient. We did'nt enjoy the smoky atmosphere as you walked through the Slots. The outdoor Park was quite well done, few Birds, Fish, Turtles. The pool looked inviting, but the water slides looked not to have worked for some time.
The food was disapointing, large Que's though. We found Caesars Palace to be a better option.
The Hotel is superbly situated for many of the other Hotels, most of which were far more interesting than the Flamingo.
We feel it was good value for what we paid for.

  • Liked — Centrally located on the Strip
  • Disliked — Hotel passed its best, no Coffee making facilities

We stayed at the Flamingo in Las Vegas from 3-25 to 3-30-07. About 1.5 yrs ago after a visit there, I received a survey that asked for suggestions. I suggested an in-room coffee pot and a magnifying make-up mirror and lots better lighting in the bathroom. Lo and behold! Those things were in place, albeit the coffee maker was the one cup variety. The Flamingo is just right in terms of location--smack in the middle of the strip, affordable and has convenient access to the monorail. Margaritaville and Ventunos and the steak place (I think it's called 46 Steakhouse now--not Conrads anymore) are all good places to eat.. The buffet is a buffet, but has good views of the Habitat--flamingos and fish and ducks, etc. The only thing I would improve would be the long, long line to check baggage both coming in and going out. However, retrieval was very efficient ( bellman on check-in and baggage handler for the airport cab) The casino is small enough not to get lost in.

Have stayed at many hotels around the world and was worried re staying at the Flamingo after reading some of the reviews. The Hotel is very good taking into account its position and price.Dont expect peersonal service because it doesnt happen in Vegas.
Would stay at the Hotel again.
Watch out for the Doorman Ted is very aggressive and is desparate for a tip.Suprised the Hotel has him on as i understood that they have had many complaints.Overall good stay.Dont eat at the buffet, the one across the road at the Mirage or at Aladin are the same price and much much better.

We chose the Flamingo for location and price and were very satisfied with cleanliness, location, service and overall amenities. The bird garden is surprisingly nice and the pool area looks terrific for the warm weather. We visited when the hotel was fully booked and lines for restaurants and shops were long but not unacceptable. For the price it's definitely a good choice.
