Let me first say that I usually stay at a MGM/Mirage hotel while in Vegas, but since we saw on the website that the Flamingo was renovating its rooms and saw the work they had done, we decided to try it. Horrible mistake. The room was dirty: No lampshades, stains on the walls and curtains, dirty carpet, holes in the sheets, mold in the bathtub, chipped furniture and it smelled like cigarette smoke (non-smoking room), the pillows where pokey and they didn't even have a comforter on the bed, just sheets! We complained and the manager gave us $30 to spend in the hotel but said they could not do anything else for us. I attached pictures of the disgusting accommadations! Motel 6 is a better hotel than this one. We could not find another hotel available because of the World Poker Tournament in town until the next night. It was traumatic and just a horrible experience. DO NOT stay at this hotel if you want to enjoy your time in Las Vegas!

I was actually regretting booking our stay at the Flamingo after reading some of the reviews. When we checked in we were told we could upgrade to the GO Room for an extra $75 a night. I'm glad we didn't because the regular room was great. Even though it is an older hotel, it was clean and very quiet in our room. I have stayed at other hotels where you could hear the TV in the next room. Our stay was everything that we could have hoped for. Also, it is alot easier to get free drinks in the casino at the Flamingo than at any of the other casinos we went to. The Flamingo is in a GREAT location. So close to everything!!

I'm a slot player and enjoy counting a machine till it hits. I was excited after hitting a cherry after 30 pulls. People walk away!!! Don't gamble at this location. My hotel room after a 45 min wait to check in was crappy: I did not update to a Go Room. Bring sandals to walk on the filthy carpet. Air Freshner and watched out for all the dirty glasses, beer bottles, ashtrays laying in the hallways. Bring lots of money to pay for drinks, food, etc. Make sure you are at the pool saving your chair by 8am. The halls are so loud at night you won't get a good nights sleep. I would never stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at the Flamingo. During the swine flu out break room was filthy, candy , dirty tissues under the bed. The carpet has had not been cleaned. We spoke with the manager he did not care. He changed our room and that room was not clean either. We have stayed there many times after this trip we will not stay there again. It is not what it used to be. I have sent an e-mail of my complaint and have yet to hear from anyone.
