Stayed at the Flamingo from Oct. 25-29. The room was nice, but had to walk a long way from the elevator to get to it. The noro virus was going around and 3 of the people in my group caught it so had to be near bathrooms constantly! Staff did nothing to help accomodate anyone that caught this virus. The luggage pickup was screwed up, so we were about 25 minutes late getting to the airport. Margaritaville was great! This is my 4th trip to Vegas, and my last stay here.

Room was OK but bathroom was small by US standards. We got a letter in our room from management about a virus which had affected some staff and guests. I got the "virus" but I am convinced it was food poisoning from potatoes at breakfast in Lindy's. I ate them and my husband did not and he was fine. I mentioned it at the checkout desk and the check out staff member asked me if I had called Security! That would have been a big help I'm sure!!
No porters anywhere and it is very easy to get confused with all the slot machines everywhere. I shall not be recommending this hotel to my friends.

I thought the hotel itself was OK. The problems I had were with the rude staff and terrible sports book. I haven't been to a casino where the staff was so unfriendly. From the dealers to the sports book cashiers noone seemed happy or friendly. The sportsbook is a joke. They don't even have satelite tv's in the sportsbook to watch college and nfl games, If you want to watch your team you have to go half-way across the casino to the lounge. Also, the comps are terrible!! I recommend looking around before choosing the flamingo.

Upon arriving in Las Vegas, checked in at the airport, quick check in, no free upgrades here, paid $20/night extra for "premire room" and was on our way. I was really looking forward to staying at the Flamingo however upon entering room, I was quite disappointed. Really old carpet and very dated furniture. If this is the premier room I would hate to see the standard room. Bathroom is extremely small. We did have an excellent strip view but the windows were so filthy that it was difficult to see out of them. A letter was awaiting us upon arrival in our room that stated the Flamingo had been struck by the Novo virus, it would have been nice had they notified us prior to our arrival and let us decide if we still wanted to stay there. I am still very upset that we were subjected to exposure to this without any say in the matter. After accepting the fact that the room was not what I expected (We have stayed at many places in Vegas and even the Boardwalk rooms were better than this) we did not let it take anything away from our vacation. The room was cleaned every day and a nice tip was left for the maid. Used room service each morning and one late night for a snack. Satisfied with that. Ate at the buffet, nothing to write home about. At 1 o'clock in the afternoon it was dead in the buffet. Ate at Lindy's twice and was more satisfied here than at the buffet. Would I stay at the Flamingo again? No Way. Not for the money they charge. Harrah's is much nicer and the rooms are newer.

We recently stayed at the Flamingo hotel (October 21-24) and it was a very diappointing stay. The rooms were average, probably comparable to a Super 8 hotel. The pool was closed the first day we were there but opened the next day. We were there during the viral outbreak which was terrible. Everyone in our group (10 of us) eventually became ill. Depending on which staff member you talked to you could either walk to the medical clinic, which was several blocks away, take a cab or security would drop you off. The management did very little to assist any of the sick guests. When you are ill the last thing you want to do is walk through a casino filled with guests and to walk 8 blocks to seek medical assistance. On my last trip to Vegas our group stayed at the Paris hotel where every need we had was quickly taken care of. That is not the service you will find at the Flamingo. Overall, for the money we paid for our rooms my expectations were not met by a long shot.
