Stayed at the Flamingo Oct 24th - Oct 29th. The airport check-in was the best for a $20.00 tip we received the top floor facing the strip. Beautifull!!! The parking and the elevators and all the people were great. Also make sure you eat at Margaritaville; good food and lots of fun!!! The bad was the stomach flu that was going around and the fire alarms kept going off the last 2 days of our trip. Like I said good and bad - however we did have a great time

I went to the Flamingo about a month ago. I must say I am somewhat surprised at some of these rave reviews this place is getting. This is just another one of those "you get what you pay for" deals. The hotel is mega smokey (hallways, restaurants, casino), so if you do not smoke and do not like people blowing smoke in your face, I would suggest a different casino. (I guess all of Vegas is a smoke pit but the 'new' casinos did not seem to have that problem). The pool was ICE cold, I like cold water but get serious! And yes... you do get nickel and dimed, but most places on The Strip are like that.
Maybe I am spoiled from the Mirage but I would not stay at the Flamingo again.

Stayed at the Flamingo Oct. 12 to 16, 2004. Overall, was quite impressed. Airport check-in was excellent: no line-up at all.

Location of the hotel (right in the center of the strip) was very convenient. Room was clean and big enough: couldn't expect much more for the price.

Casino is very casual with no one really dressed up. Not fancy like the Bellagio or Mandalay Bay, but comfortable.

Prime rib and crab legs at the buffet were very good. Some of the other food at the buffet was not so good, but, overall, I was happy with it.

Only disappointment was with the comps. I played several hours of blackjack with average bet of $35, but comps were very low. My last trip, I stayed at the Excalibur and received considerably more in comps with a similar amount of play.

Overall, I would stay at the Flamingo again.

We recently took a trip to Las Vegas in September and had the opportunity to dine at The Flamingo Hotel the 4 days we were there. The hotel was gorgeous. The Buffet Is Excellent the food is out of this world. The Sunday Brunch is to Die For. Every day you would go there there was always people and the lines went fast. The price was great and the gambling is excellent at the Slots. I am definitely looking forward to going back to the Flamingo again. It was clean and the people were nice. Last the entertainment was out of this world with George Wallace the comedian.
