When we arrived, we noticed that the casino did not smell of smoke. That was very nice. Check-in was a breeze and we were placed in a standard strip view room on the 14th floor. At first glance the room looked okay. But on further inspection, it was found to be nasty. The wooden furniture was chipped, the bathroom floor was gross, the Toni mesh was on so we couldn't enjoy our view, and there was blood on the wall (small amount, but still freaked me out!) So we went down to the front desk and asked to be moved. They said they were full for the night, but they would move us in the morning. In the meantime, they gave us a $30 voucher to the buffet (which is very good.) The next morning, we asked if we could be moved to a GO room free of charge. They gladly accepted and we were moved up to the 24th floor (or maybe 22nd I forget.) I felt like I was in another hotel. This room was so clean, so modern, and so nice! The room looked like it hadn't been slept in before. We had a pool view this time and it was amazing! The Plasma TV and iPod dock were nice, the TV in the mirror was amazing, and the beds were VERY comfy. The room was a big step up. The pool was amazing! Although it can get crowded. So I recommend you to come to the Flamingo, but get a GO Room.

“Never Ever Again....”

Flamingo Las Vegas

We went to Vegas for a bachelorette party gone wrong!!! One of the bridesmaids was followed up the elevator one night and attacked by someone (who she fought off). The hotel was not quick to respond, and then they refused to change our room after the event. The girl ended up going home, but the rest of us were there for 3 more nights! Later the next day, the hotel gave they key to our room to two men checking in who were baffled by the fact that there were people even in the room! All of us girls were getting changed and ready to go out when these men just waltzed right in! Some drunk girl came knocking on our door late one night, she was lost and couldn't find her room. We called security, and they did NOTHING, and the girl slept in front of our door ALL night.

I will never go back to this hotel again... and I may never go back to Vegas again.

My Mom, Sister and I stayed at The Flamingo in July of 07. Upon arrival at the airport we bought a bus ride to our hotel and arrived in reasonable time. The checkin was verrrrry slow. But the service was great and we were able to upgrade to a GO room for an extra 25 dollars a night. And a room was available at 11 am. We had a room on the 27th floor facing the pools. A little high up to really enjoy the view of the pools but beautiful all the same. I loved the updated rooms with the flat screens, spacious bathrooms and comfortable beds. It was quite comfy. The hotel is centrally located and great for strip walking. Right in the middle of it all. We only enjoyed the pool for 1 day. It was nice but not enough servers to pick up all the extra glasses in and around the pool. It was almost like spring break Las Vegas style. Even had to close the pool down for a half hour after a guy puked in it. And only a half hour to clean it....HUMMMM. Over all it is a great place to stay....it must be, I've just booked our next stay there this Labor day.

“Heads up on the topless pool”

We stayed here because we thought the new Go rooms would be cool, they were, and the pool area would be beautiful, it was! The negative was that topless tanning isn't allowed on Mondays at the topless pool due to some weird Clark County law. The hotel doesn't tell you this until you get to the pool gate. Since the rest of our family was arriving Tuesday that knocked us out of some adult fun...

“Think twice about staying there.”

Flamingo Las Vegas

stayed there approx. 4 times prior to our last. Service at front desk leaves alot to be desired. Had to change rooms 3 times. The 4th room was fine. TWICE people walked into our room after we checked in.
The front desk manager leaves alot to be desired. Lock up everything because safety of personal items is definately an issue there. $1,000 item stolen will NOT be compensated.
