OK, let me say that the hotel has a great location and the price can definitely be great relatively to it's neighbors, Ceasars & Bellagio.

Pros
1. As I mentioned the location
2. Price especially if you can get if it for under $100 per night. I had an $89 rate and upgrade to a Go Deluxe room for $119 per night.

Cons
1. Food onsite was terrible
2. There was what appeared to blood on pillow and room was a bit dirty. I called house cleaning and the maid offered to change pillow. I said great tipped her $5 for bringing new pillow and said I'd like to speak with manager and she said no problem. The manager came and comped the room for the first night of a 3 night stay.
3. The inside of the room was really pink.

I'd recommend if you want to be in heart of strip and can get the right price. I LOVE the Wynn but the location is a bit out of the "strip scene" and price can be significantly higher.

“Flamingo-ok but not great”

I guarenteed late arrival but when we checked in at 11:30 pm, our room had already been given away. Upgraded us to a suite so that was ok but disconcerning that they would give our room away. Suite is nice and spacisous but noticed on the wall, the cable tv box had no face plate, exposing the wires. Could be dangerous if small children are around. Pool side drinks are very expensive. Frozen daquri in plastic cup is $10.00. Insane! Hallway had room service trays with half eaten food on them from breakfast, still in hall way late into the evening. Very gross. Housekeeping obviously saw them but did not pick them up. Do not use the kiosks to print out your boarding pass. Staff remind you to do this many times but kiosks did not work. Charged $5.00 to use it, nothing printed out and when I went to the Information desk to ask about it, they knew they wern't working but did not put up a sign. Offered to print out my boarding passes again, for another $5.00. What a scam. When we got to the airport, there were plenty of kiosks to print off your boardng passes and you have to use the one at the airport anyway to get your luggage tags to print out. Overall stay was ok, but we will not stay there again. However, the beds were the most comfortable we have ever had in our travels. The wildilfe area is great but if you are afraid of birds, beware. The ducks sometimes fly right towards you. Jimmy Buffets Margritiville is awsome and well worth the price of food. Take the Duce downtown, well worth the trip.

“Terrible Experience”

Let me start by saying I would never book here again.
We had a reservation since Oct 07 to stay from March 25 thru April 1st for my husband's 40th birthday. We booked one of the "Go Rooms". We tried to check in on March 25th and we tried the $20.00 trick alond with my credit card, and when the women at the desk handed me back the $20.00 I knew I was in trouble. After about 2 minutes she told us that the hotel had OVER BOOKED the hotel and there were no rooms available for us. We were not happy!! After about 30 minutes of talking with the manager she tried to give us a suite on the 11th floor of the old section and let me tell you how grouse the room was. Mold in the bathroom, dirty towels left from the person before us, stained linen on the beds. I mean TERRIBLE!! We had to call our travel agent and wait for about an hour before he was able to find us another room, because the hotel did NOTHING to help us. We finally got a room at Harrah's which is a parent hotel. I have to say the rooms are MUCH nicer. Nothing wrong at all. A nice room with a tiled entrance, tiled bathroon, nice comfy bed! The service and the hotel was great there is no comparing to these two hotels. Just so you do know we even called just 2 days before leaving and confirmed our reservations, and they said all set. We had come all the way from NH and it was not a good start. We must have tip $30.00 at the hotel and never even ended up staying, the never even offered us a dinner, show or comps..... Terrible Customer Service.... I would stay at Harrah's again but would never recommend the Flamingo

My wife and I stayed in a "deluxe" room at the hotel in March for a two night stay. This is the normal room with no frills. The desk clerk was friendly, efficient, fast and very courteous. Our room was on the fourth floor with a view to the rear of the complex along with the air handling, mechanical and window washing apparatus on the roof below us. We weren't in the room much so the view wasn't important and there was no extraneous noise from the equipment. We heard no traffic or crowd noise from this location. The room was quite large but the bed was worn and the sofa and chair not very clean. The bathroom was very small. The fixtures are old and the shower spigot was an improvised bath tub fill spout with a shower head attached. The caulking was crumbling and coming away from the tile. The casino had the typical Las Vegas smoke odor and was host to a generally older crowd of gamblers. Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville restaurant was fun with the bikini-clad girl erupting from a volcano each hour and sliding into a margarita glass, swimming and dancing. The food was typical chain restaurant bar or pub food, but was plentifull and filling. Service was excellent despite the large evening crowd. Service and attention in the bars and gaming area by cocktail waitresses and bar staff was excellent and attentive. The Flamingo is located in the center of the Strip so a short walk to Paris and Caesar's Palace was easy, but it was March, not July or August ,and it was only in the 70's. The walk would be more of a challenge in 100 degree plus weather. For the price, the Flamingo is fine if you expect to be out of the room all day visiting Las Vegas hotels and attractions. If you just want a great room and resort experience, pick another hotel but expect to pay much more for the room. We will try another hotel on our next stay.

The Flamingo is one of the lower-tiered of the Harrah's properties in Las Vegas. Some rooms are old and need renovations, but still a good value. If you want classier, try Caesars or Paris. If you want cheaper, try Rio or Imperial Palace. Our room needed new carpet, but it wasn't disgusting by any means. The bathroom was clean, as were the beds. My biggest complaint is the long walk from the parking garage, THROUGH the casino, to the hotel elevators. Once you make it to the elevator, you are tired already. Also, rooms that overlook the pool area get to listen to loud music on weekend nights. Not bad if you want to party, or get back to the room late. If you wish to go to bed early, the music might cause a problem for you.
