We had a great time at the Flamingo - we got a good deal price wise and then got upgraded to a Go Room which was fantastic.
Nicely decorated rooms, good views over the gardens (with remote control curtains so you can enjoy the view from bed), ever so comfy bed with lovely bedding, huge flatscreen tv, another tv inside the bathroom mirror so you can watch while in the shower, nice amenities, quick check in, automated check out etc. Good location in the middle of the Strip. Nice casino. Nice staff. All good. We really couldn't fault it.

Stayed here 2/14 - 2/18 in a GO Luxury Room with strip view. I was thoroughly impressed. Room was booked through Harrah's website and I was able to use total rewards points earned in Atlantic City - all four nights were comped. Also, inexplicably, we received complimentary gift baskets and even a bottle of Champagne. Considering that we are not high rollers and spread our gambling at a lot of casinos, this was surprising.

Service was great. The room was cleaned well daily and they were very responsive to requests. Location is great - right in the heart of everything. The casino has this feeling as if time froze 25 years ago - and it was very cool. This is not to say that the casino was run down - it was not. It was kept up well, as far as I could see. I didn't see the area where the non-refurbished rooms are, but based on my experience with a GO room, it was great. Only complaint was that room service was a bit slow in the morning if you wanted something cooked.

It's also conveniently located to O'Shea's and Bill's Gamblin Hall, both of which have a great party atmosphere at night and cheap tables 24/7. Caesars and the Bellagio are across the street (5 minute walk) and the monorail is in the back of the Casino.

The pools looked amazing, but were closed while I was there. I will definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Flamingo in Nov 2007. We did not find any lengthy queue to book in or checking out. We were given a standard room with a lovely view of the gardens. The room was very clean and tidy. Plenty of room for 2 adults and luggage. The brunch breakfast was a bit on the pricey side ( compared to the one served at Harrahs just a short walk down the road... BEST breakfast choice and evenign choice). if you have a car and like to eat at Dennys, do not go to the one linked with Casino Royale, drive towards and past Stratosphere tower, and there is another Dennys ther ewhich never seems to be busy.

We left the Flamingo feeling happy, we then went to LA, and came back and stayed our last few days at New York New York. (another review there. me thinks)..

All in all we had a good time at this hotel.

“GO! To the Flamingo!”

My sister and I stayed in a Go! Room Friday, February 22 - Monday, February 25th, 2008. We both really liked the Flamingo and found the room (22105) very comfortable and liked the modern amenities.

Our room had two comfortable queen beds, a desk, chair and small table, huge flat screen TV with a dvd/cd player (came in handy when we could play music when getting ready to go out and watch (part of) a movie when nothing was on tv) with great speakers, closet with safe and a nice bathroom. The only thing I wish the room would have had is a mini-fridge. We had plenty of room for all our stuff and noise was never a problem. Housekeeping was great and always had our room nicely made-up; I made sure to always leave a few dollars tip for the housekeeper.

Check-in was quick - there was no one in line when we checked in around 11:30 PM Friday night - and checkout was pretty quick also (about a ten minute wait on Monday close to noon). Room service was always faster than their estimated time and everything we ordered was delicious (breakfast items such as eggs and pancakes, late nite bites such as pepperoni pizza and a steak hoagie) and well worth the extra $3 per person plus all their taxes to eat good food in our pj's!

We aren't gamblers and only spent literally 10 minutes gambling at the Flamingo casino but I did win $24 on the nickel slots so I was happy!

We tried the Flamingo spa on Sunday and enjoyed a really relaxing Swedish 50 minute massage and use of the sauna. This was a perfect way to end our trip after two heavy days of partying. The fitness center (daily charge of $10) is very well equipped (newer machines including ellipticals, treadmills and bikes, lots of free weights and weight machines) and allows you access to the spa also (which has a sauna, steam room, showers and offers a bunch of treatments).

We ate at the 24 hour cafe and weren't impressed with the food (both had the oriental chicken wrap which was served cold and was not very tasty) but the service was pretty quick. We also tried a small cafe/deli located by the Island Bar and had a good, although expensive, sandwich and fruit. We had the Flamingo dinner buffet on Saturday and seemed to get there just in time - around 5 - for dinner before a longer line formed. The food was okay, nothing spectacular, but we both found something we liked. They had a huge tower of seafood (I think shrimp) so anyone who likes that would have enjoyed this buffet. Nothing great stands out but it was a quick, simple dinner and we enjoyed our nice view of the waterfall and fish.

The only negative experience we had was with the salon. I had called and made us appointments prior to our arriving in Vegas to get our hair washed and styled and was quoted a price - only to be told when we arrived it would be double and that didn't even include washing the hair. I was very specific with what we wanted but perhaps should have questioned the pricing more. Needless to say, we decided to do our own hair and use that money to drink and eat.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and loved our Go! room - the Flamingo is in a great location and all the staff we encountered were friendly.

We were reminded of Old Las Vegas when we checked in to the Flamingo Las Vegas. Neon signage, lush tropical gardens, the obligatory flamingos by the pond. It's a throwback to the age of the Rat Pack amid all the opulent and over-the-top casino hotels on the Strip such as the Bellagio and Mandalay Bay. Wonderful location makes it a quick stroll to Bally's Paris, Bellagio, the Wynn, etc.
Buffet breakfasts were wonderful at $15 per person. You could construct an omellette, create a mexican salad, have poached eggs or just dine on sweeties and fruit.
Unfortunately our first encounter with the hotel staff was with a reception clerk named Restha. She was officious and rude, which put a damper on our expectations of our week long stay at the Flamingo. Fortunately, she was the exception and all other hotel employees went out of their way to create a memorable stay for my wife and I.
Though we gambled a little at the casino, we preferred to walk next door to Paris to do our gambling. The Flamingo casino is in the old, dark style, while the Paris Casino needs to be seen to be believed: you feel like you are in the streets of Paris on a cool, breezy night. All in all, I would stay again at the Flamingo. Make sure you get an upgraded room on the upper floors. They are bright and comfortable, well equipped and even have tv's in the bathroom.
