We have just returned from our 1st stay at the Hard Rock (have been there many times, but never stayed). My husband and I are in our early thirties, and contrary to popular beliefs by other reviewers, still love to party at this age! (To all you lame people in your thirties, sorry, don't come to Vegas) This hotel is the perfect place for having the best time of your lives! We came here to meet some friends at the Rehab party, which was by far the best pool party we have ever been to, and quite possibly, the best party, period! Relax, the party on Monday, was a great way to recooperate from Sunday's Rehab :)
The waitress/cocktail staff at the pool were awesome! (especially for as busy as they were!) The DJ's were the best!
Our room was great, and very clean. We had no problems with noise, as we were not in the room that much anyway. The front desk staff was very accomodating, as well as the bell staff and valet. Our only complaint was that on the last morning (check out), the front desk called and asked for a credit card to put our charges on. That wasn't the problem, since we were checking out anyway. The problem was, they called at almost 9 A.M. Just a little early in my opinion (it is vegas, and I thought I left one on file)
As for the casino, we didn't play as much as usual, with all the pool partying we were doing. Normally, though, everyone there is great too, and you will usually catch a glimpse of a celeb or two playing blackjack or sitting at the bar. The bartenders are all friendly and talkative, and will usually be glad to help a hangover with a concoction of their own.
Restaurants- Pink Taco is our favorite- it's like a party within a party! Food and drink is awesome there. Mr. Lucky's is good all-american food 24/7. I wasn't so impressed with Nobu, even with all of the hype. We are sushi connoisseurs, and I've had a lot better in local vegas sushi joints.
The shops at the Hard Rock are all great- even if you don't have a lot of money to spend, at least check out the Hard Rock gift shop (don't know the name) for some unique things to bring back to friends.
All in all, we love this place. We have stayed at the Wynn, Treasure Island, Monte Carlo, Mandalay Bay, Luxor, Aladdin, New York New York, Stratosphere, and even the Sahara. They are all the same if you just want to eat and gamble. If you want a truly unique, rock and roll party experience, stay at the Hard Rock Hotel. We came home and already were looking for excuses to come back to the next Rehab party and the Hard Rock!
