The Hard Rock hotel has a great collection of rock memorabilia and great atmosphere in the casino. Nobu restaurant has wonderful sushi but is pretty pricey. The serving staff at Nobu's is great. However, the registration front office staff was incredibly rude! We asked what the rating was and they said that they had been open for "11 years , 3 months and 5 days and we do not need a rating." We asked if they had brochures showing other rooms and they were brusque and not helpful. The hotel staff seemed unhappy and perhaps they are having labor problems. The rooms are ok but not worth the relatively high price for a casino off the strip. We ended up back at the Venetian and had a great time as usual. Bottom Line: Problems with rude hotel staff and there are much better values in Las Vegas but the environment in the casino is worth a second look.

We stayed April 13-15, we arrived on the 13th to a room that has no HOT WATER and we had to ASK for another room at first they told us we had to wait for a Plumber to arrive in 45 minutes. Not to mention the view of the a/c unit. We finally got our room switched and we had to go get the new room key.
We get to the new room which had no glasses to drink out of and although it was a NONSMOKING floor it stunk of SMOKE and when we told the front desk they basically didnt care. At 230 a.m the 9th floor alarm went off and no one would tell us why. The floor looked dirty in our room as well.
We were expecting a package and was asked to be told when it arrived and no one ever contacted us.
The upside to this place is their bell desk and concierge. TOP NOTCH SERVICE! THOSE GUYS WERE EXCELLENT! They also offer a free limited shuttle to the strip that if you didnt read the fine print on this little bitty 2 x2 card they give you, you would never even know. If you eat at Mr. Luckys inside order the All American Breakfast and ask for crisy bacon, its pretty good. DONT order the steak and eggs we still arent sure that was even a steak it looked more like a trapper keeper.

The purpose of our stay at the Hard Rock was to have my son and his friend attend a concert at the Joint (the hotel's concert hall). It was convenient to have a room at the same facility so that I, as a parent could be close by and the kids and I could come straight up to the room safely.

The most impressive part of our stay was the great customer service we received from the staff...from the registration clerk, to the maid & housekeeping services, to the restaurant (Mr. Lucky's), to the hotel gift shop clerks and the bell & transportation services...they were all cordial, helpful, professional and polite...it did not matter that it was obvious that we were not "high-end" clients...they treated us with the same level of service as if we were. We appreciated that.

The kids thought the decor was awesome, with the comprehensive rock memorabilia...it was a Rock museum..I had fun looking at all the displays of past to present rock n roll memorabilia.

Our room was very clean, the bedding was excellent...the kids loved the big screen tv, the bathroom was quite large and clean. The view out the french door was wonderful. We enjoyed a very peaceful sleep...no noise, which I anticipated from other reviews...

The hotel had a wonderful shuttle service, every hour on the hour to two destinations on both ends of the strip...so no need for a car rental.

The kids enjoyed the rock concert and the stay at this "cool" place...and I, the mom enjoyed it as well!

Love the hard rock, stayed there more than 6 times, with and without our kids 9 & 14 yrs. we are going back again April 23, 2006. We love it rooms are nice On one occasion we had a crappy room at check in the carpet was wet, we were imediately moved to another room. the pool is awesome, beach shack food is pretty good, I ordered a fruit salad one day and the fruit was rotten, my entire bill was cleared and new food was brought. the waitresses are friendly and accomodating, clean. I love " The Joint" we have seen alot of different concerts the last being Motley crue. the first being Bonnie Raitt with Indigo Gilrs, it was great. can't wait to go back the securty up to the rooms is excellent no one gets in and no one sneaks through. the Rock spa is comparable to reg sp prices and services.Lots to see many celebreties frequently around. Rod Stewart, nicki sixx, vince nell, Jackson Brown, lisa presley..sum 41. can't wait to go back.

Hi,
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel - it's the coolest in Vegas and definitely the best place for celeb spotting! We met Matt Sorum and his girlfriend Ace who were staying at the hotel - both of them were really friendly and stopped for a chat. The drummer from Green Day (sorry, I forgot his name!) stumbled out of one of the great hotel restaurants draped over two blonde girls.. Motley Crue were playing that week (great gig by the way) and Vince Neil and his entourage just wandered past as we were sat at the bar! Its the kind of place where you recognise familiar faces everywhere!

The hotel itself if sooooo cool, the other hotels on the strip aren't a patch on it - it's definitely the only one I would stay at in Vegas. If you are worried about it not being on tne strip, the hotel offers a free shuttle, and we actually walked to the strip most days which took about 20mins - it was October and warm, nmot sure if this would be a good idea in the hotter temperatures..?!

The concert venue - The Joint - was one of the very best I have ever been in - the atmosphere was fanstastic, great views and because its not so big, you get to see stadium bands up close :o) We stayed near the back (and the bar!) and still had great views of the band. We are from the UK and gigs here tend to get very crowded and everyone gets jostled around - this was not the case at the Joint and we enjoyed the gig even more because of it. The people seenmed too cool for that sort of thing and most hung round in groups just enjoying a few beers and the atmosphere.

We took a walk out to the pool which was fantastic, the only thing I would criticise here is that unless you are a size 8, 6ft perfect looking model, you may feel slightly self concious! We enjoyed the margaritas at the poolside bar underneath the waterfall instead!

All the staff seemed very friendly - even the security staff were far too cool for their own good!

The only thing that I would say is that the corridor decor could probably do with a bit of a re-furb, but thats a small minus!

Great hotel, fab city!

Enjoy! :o)
