My friends and I decided to stay at the Hard Rock for memorial day weekend just to ensure access to the Rehab pool party... we paid $750 a night just for a regular size room with a view of the construction.. when we checked in they wanted a ridiculous amount for a security deposit which could not fit on any of our credit cards since 1000 was our limits.. we had to borrow a friends CC in order to check in... the room was clean and nicely decorated but overlooked the construction work and a strip club... the music from the strip club came in our room till about 5 in the morning and we were then woken up to the construction at 7 in the morning... there were some days our room didn't get cleaned.. We had to wait at least an hour every time we ordered room service and that was when we were able to not get a busy signal or no answer... the pool is nice but drinks cost you $18 plus tip.

I stayed in the Hard Rock Hotel and it was wonderful. The staff could not have been nicer. Beds are comfortable and excellent restaurants. Rare 120 was the best. Their servings were well worth the price and their presentation was something to experience. The Rare 120 staff was so attentive and could not do enough for you. Hard Rock was clean and smelled clean. Great music and pool area. Would highly recommend this establishment. Lots of action for viewing.

Some people who work there are incredibly rude but the majority of the employees are try their best. while I was losing $25 a hand at Blackjack last night. Some old grumpy pit boss who i had never seen before accused me of saying something disrepectful to him; .I have no idea what he was talking about. It was bizarre & humiliating & it will be a long time before I go there again;

The Pros:
The beds are really comfortable, the rooms are clean, the décor is nostalgic. There is an on site concert hall called “The Joint”. The seats are folding chairs and not real chairs, for the price of the tickets I expected something nicer. Santana was an awesome concert! There is Free Parking but it is a long walk to the Hotel rooms and Casino.
Now about the Cons:
We had a pool view room and a view of the strip, (sorta) we also had a view of the construction crane and all the garbage and all the noise. The music in the pool area was so loud that it was impossible to take a nap during the day so you could party at night. We couldn’t carry on a normal conversation in the pool without practically yelling at each other. We had a guest meeting us at the Hotel. He was in a suit and they were going to charge him $10 to come into the pool area. He was in a suit and wasn’t even going to use the pool. The Jacuzzi was a joke, barely warmer than the pool and the jets barely moved any water.
The music was just as loud in the casino area and in the restaurants.
The Hard Rock charges $25 a day to use the fitness center. $25 if you open the frig just to put in your own drinks to keep them cold. The mini bar items are really expensive. You would be better off walking across the street to the drug store or the liquor store and buying your own. $13.99 a day per computer to access the internet.
At 5:30 AM the maintenance crew was doing an early cleaning of the pool area. It started with gas powered blowers and power washing equipment. When we called the front desk to complain they said that they would check into it. They tried to tell us that is was the construction personnel and we told them that we had a visual on the person using the blower in the pool area, and it was not the construction. They did nothing!!!
So if you like lots of noise, and paying too much for everything stay at the Hard Rock. But if you want to have more money for gambling and night life stay some where else. I know I will. There are lots of nice hotel choices

We stayed here for 2 nights in Sept 2008 and since I'm writing this review 7 months late HOPEFULLY things have improved since. Due to the terrible experience we had, I vowed though never to stay here again. We stayed here because we were attending a concert at The Joint and they offered a package. Their rates CONSTANTLY flucuate and because of this we did save a bunch of $$ (only because we called and got our rate adjusted to the lower rate) but I would have rather stayed elsewhere and paid more. Their online website for booking reservations is AWFUL. You can't make changes and good luck when you call because you'll be on hold for a long time. I felt like I was getting the run-around quite a bit when dealing with some of their reservationists. There was more bogus stuff with regards to their concert pkg deal but I don't have all day to go on about that utterly unbelievable fiasco....I came with a large group and all that bought the package were screwed over royally.

The rooms were ATROCIOUS. The carpet was worn and stained. The bathroom was disgusting! The duvet had blood stains on the underside. I did call about that and a housekeeper mgr came right up immediately and replaced it - which I was impressed about. The lighting was awful. The furniture was so ugly and worn out. You could tell this was a PARTY hotel/casino for sure and ALOT of partying had gone on! I will say the beds were VERY comfortable and that's the ONLY positive thing I have to say about the rooms.

The restaurants are a different story. Pink Taco has great food and a great happy hour with pleasant servers. Mr Lucky 7 (name?) is a nice diner type place with very reasonable prices and is open 24 hrs I believe. The casino was just OK. There just wasn't anything special about it. Once of the best things about this hotel/casino is the music memorabila displays scattered about. The shops were just ok. They have a nightclub/bar (can't remember the name) that had very, very expensive drinks. The center bar in the main casino area was the place to be and the most fun was had there.

This place is good for the young crowd that is interested in getting wasted and who don't care too much about their hotel room/amenities. Don't stay here if you are looking for luxury and impeccable service because you won't get it. All the employees are quite young and seem very immature at that. They seemed to lack proper training. They didn't even know how to say thank you. The Strip is quite far and you will spend a ton of $ on cab rides back and forth to the strip. There is no shuttle or at least there wasn't one 7 months ago.

The icing on our stay here was being woken up at 6am both days with construction on our side of the building. We awoke to a crain outside our window and non stop beeping. It was unbelievable. AND they DO NOT tell you about this beforehand when making your reservation. Bottom line - if you go here BEWARE!!! I will never set foot in this place as long as I live.
