We stayed here for 2 nights in Sept 2008 and since I'm writing this review 7 months late HOPEFULLY things have improved since. Due to the terrible experience we had, I vowed though never to stay here again. We stayed here because we were attending a concert at The Joint and they offered a package. Their rates CONSTANTLY flucuate and because of this we did save a bunch of $$ (only because we called and got our rate adjusted to the lower rate) but I would have rather stayed elsewhere and paid more. Their online website for booking reservations is AWFUL. You can't make changes and good luck when you call because you'll be on hold for a long time. I felt like I was getting the run-around quite a bit when dealing with some of their reservationists. There was more bogus stuff with regards to their concert pkg deal but I don't have all day to go on about that utterly unbelievable fiasco....I came with a large group and all that bought the package were screwed over royally.

The rooms were ATROCIOUS. The carpet was worn and stained. The bathroom was disgusting! The duvet had blood stains on the underside. I did call about that and a housekeeper mgr came right up immediately and replaced it - which I was impressed about. The lighting was awful. The furniture was so ugly and worn out. You could tell this was a PARTY hotel/casino for sure and ALOT of partying had gone on! I will say the beds were VERY comfortable and that's the ONLY positive thing I have to say about the rooms.

The restaurants are a different story. Pink Taco has great food and a great happy hour with pleasant servers. Mr Lucky 7 (name?) is a nice diner type place with very reasonable prices and is open 24 hrs I believe. The casino was just OK. There just wasn't anything special about it. Once of the best things about this hotel/casino is the music memorabila displays scattered about. The shops were just ok. They have a nightclub/bar (can't remember the name) that had very, very expensive drinks. The center bar in the main casino area was the place to be and the most fun was had there.

This place is good for the young crowd that is interested in getting wasted and who don't care too much about their hotel room/amenities. Don't stay here if you are looking for luxury and impeccable service because you won't get it. All the employees are quite young and seem very immature at that. They seemed to lack proper training. They didn't even know how to say thank you. The Strip is quite far and you will spend a ton of $ on cab rides back and forth to the strip. There is no shuttle or at least there wasn't one 7 months ago.

The icing on our stay here was being woken up at 6am both days with construction on our side of the building. We awoke to a crain outside our window and non stop beeping. It was unbelievable. AND they DO NOT tell you about this beforehand when making your reservation. Bottom line - if you go here BEWARE!!! I will never set foot in this place as long as I live.

I was on a 5000 miles road trip and we just decided to book the hotel a few hours prior to check in. The hotel was amazing, service too. We got upgraded to a nice room, view on the poolside, wonderful furniture, everything was perfect... except the prices for the mini-bar :) but hey, it's Vegas!

Was booked here to cover a TV shoot in Vegas. I did not pick this hotel and would not have chosen it if given a choice. First off, there is the noise. Hundred-decibel rock music, 24-hours-a-day, in every corner of the hotel save, thank the lord, in the rooms. Of course this is the point - this is not a criticism - but beware: if loud music at 6am over breakfast is not your thing, stay elsewhere.
It's also a fair walk (20 minutes) from the Strip and there is a noisy construction site next door. Oh yes, the pool was closed during my November stay (why? It was plenty warm enough)
All that said, the rooms are huge, comfortable and spotless. The decor - lots of white and black leather, proper 1970s-style carpets and huge beds is perfect for what it is. Decent gym and the food is pretty good as well. Best of all, the staff are friendly and bend-over-backwards helpful. Something went wrong with my laundry ( a small delay) and lots of stuff was knocked off my room bill in compensation without being demanded. I thought I was probably 20 years too old for this place but noticed plenty of ancient rockers having a great time. IN fact, everyone here seemed to be having a good time. Ended up quite liking this bizarre establishment, despite myself.

I've stayed at 18 hotels in Las Vegas, and this place is way underrated.
The rooms are unbelievably incredible. Large room, big HD-TV, the most comfortable beds in town, and I liked the bathroom.
The pool area is great.
They sure do play some strange music in the casino.
The go-go dancers around the gambling tables are gorgeous.
It's not close to the strip, but I believe they have a shuttle to it.
The Hofbrauhous (German restaurant) is right across the street.
I am really stunned this place is rated so low. I can't wait to stay there again.

Good room rates on pool and construction site view. You get to see men in bathing suits, and men in construction hats. 2 views for the price of one.

We expected some construction noise, but the safety beeping of the trucks backing up was noticeable even from our 9th floor, center, pool view room. The beeping and the construction noise starts at 6:30 am and continues until past 10 pm. Though, you don't notice the noise, when they play rock music by the pool.

The new hotel tower additions look like boxy office park office buildings. They have none of the “boutique” flavor and character that the existing hotel has with its French doors opening out to the pool and signature curve shape.

All in all, we were still glad we were there. The beeping noise did not bother the one with the hearing loss (due to years of listening to hard rock music). Still, try to bring a pair of ear plugs if your hearing is good.

See attached pool construction view photos.

On Mondays they play hip hop music by the pool. The other days is regular rock music.

The hotel will be nice once the hotel and pool construction is finished. Come back in 6 months, you're better off waiting. Especially with all the good rates on hotels in Vegas that are not undergoing construction.
