Was booked here to cover a TV shoot in Vegas. I did not pick this hotel and would not have chosen it if given a choice. First off, there is the noise. Hundred-decibel rock music, 24-hours-a-day, in every corner of the hotel save, thank the lord, in the rooms. Of course this is the point - this is not a criticism - but beware: if loud music at 6am over breakfast is not your thing, stay elsewhere.
It's also a fair walk (20 minutes) from the Strip and there is a noisy construction site next door. Oh yes, the pool was closed during my November stay (why? It was plenty warm enough)
All that said, the rooms are huge, comfortable and spotless. The decor - lots of white and black leather, proper 1970s-style carpets and huge beds is perfect for what it is. Decent gym and the food is pretty good as well. Best of all, the staff are friendly and bend-over-backwards helpful. Something went wrong with my laundry ( a small delay) and lots of stuff was knocked off my room bill in compensation without being demanded. I thought I was probably 20 years too old for this place but noticed plenty of ancient rockers having a great time. IN fact, everyone here seemed to be having a good time. Ended up quite liking this bizarre establishment, despite myself.

I've stayed at 18 hotels in Las Vegas, and this place is way underrated.
The rooms are unbelievably incredible. Large room, big HD-TV, the most comfortable beds in town, and I liked the bathroom.
The pool area is great.
They sure do play some strange music in the casino.
The go-go dancers around the gambling tables are gorgeous.
It's not close to the strip, but I believe they have a shuttle to it.
The Hofbrauhous (German restaurant) is right across the street.
I am really stunned this place is rated so low. I can't wait to stay there again.

Good room rates on pool and construction site view. You get to see men in bathing suits, and men in construction hats. 2 views for the price of one.

We expected some construction noise, but the safety beeping of the trucks backing up was noticeable even from our 9th floor, center, pool view room. The beeping and the construction noise starts at 6:30 am and continues until past 10 pm. Though, you don't notice the noise, when they play rock music by the pool.

The new hotel tower additions look like boxy office park office buildings. They have none of the “boutique” flavor and character that the existing hotel has with its French doors opening out to the pool and signature curve shape.

All in all, we were still glad we were there. The beeping noise did not bother the one with the hearing loss (due to years of listening to hard rock music). Still, try to bring a pair of ear plugs if your hearing is good.

See attached pool construction view photos.

On Mondays they play hip hop music by the pool. The other days is regular rock music.

The hotel will be nice once the hotel and pool construction is finished. Come back in 6 months, you're better off waiting. Especially with all the good rates on hotels in Vegas that are not undergoing construction.

We paid $1500 for VIP McCartney tickets packaged through HRH, got there, no VIP line (The Joint is general admission). They explained they dudn't number any tickets so go wait at the end of the line. We ended up behind a guy who paid $225 for his ticket and was in front of us. i expected a nicer room and got a standard one. They way I see it I paid $500 eash for 2 tickets (2X what others paid) and $500 for a regular room, about 5X what it should have been. The next day they emailed me a satisfaction form that I complained about the above in and haven;t heard anything since. I guess they have my money so what do they care.

We've been staying at the Hard Rock Hotel and it's still the best hotel in Vegas. We've stayed at the other bigger hotels in Vegas - but nothing compares to the Hard Rock. It's Classy, full of great amentities, friendly, and reasonbly priced.

It offers something for everyone. Of course it's geared towards the younger, hip crowd. But there is something here for everyone from 80 to 2. The pool is the best and unique. The restaurants and bar or fabulous (check out the new Rare 120). Starbucks just a quick elevator ride down from your room.

The gaming area is intimate and fun. The staff was fabulous - better than ever. We rquested assistance several times for minor services in our room - and they were prompt and friendly.

Get a room faciling the pool - it's worth the upgrade. The pool is lit up at night with the Strip's light in the background. You can open up your french doors that look over the pool and soak in all of the sights. If you're in the room before the pool closes - you'll get to listen to rock and roll music and enjoy the sun coming in/setting.

we were nervous about the reviews regarding the construction. And it was not that big of deal. We could "kind of hear" some typical construction noises in the morning - and we didn't notice anything at the pool They have the great Rock and Roll music playing.

So don't worry about the construction. Sometimes you can hear the planes - but it just depends on what their flight paths are during the day.

They have a shuttle you can use - and taxis are always usefu. If you have a designated driver, renting a car is a nice option. They have a self park - that is free and VERY convienently located/connected to the main building. It will save you a lot of money in cab fares - IF you have a designated driver.

Overall, this is our number one place to stay. We've been here alone with just the two of us, we've brought our children (12 and 13 years), and our grandparents. It's a great setting for all.

But if you're 21 to 30 - and like the night scene and young bodies - of course this is even more ideal. But there are all ages here too. And they treat you all the same. You feel valued as a guest - even if you're not 25 and a model's body.

Looking forward to coming back and staying in the NEW towers - though the Casino Rooms are classic.

We'll be back.
