This is the third time at the Nugget in my last three trips to Las Vegas. I was a little concerned when I booked the room because the only rooms available were the ones in the older part of the hotel and I had never stayed there before. I was pleasantly surprised as the room was not cramped and was very clean and well kept. Three nights stay with no additional charge for parking was around $70 per night.

I was in town to play in the poker tournament that the Golden Nugget was sponsoring during my stay. The tournaments were very well run and organized and gave the players good value for the entry fee. With some of the poker room employees running the tournaments the organization of the poker room itself suffered a bit, but still a good experience. I only play poker in Vegas, so I have no opinion on the slots, machines or table games.

The Noodle House wasn't great. The service was very good but the food was average. Carson Street Station has an awesome breakfast menu and very good service. Excellent little grill by the Sports Book for burgers and sandwiches. Didn't have time to eat and Vic and Anthony's this trip which I regret.

I usually don't enjoy sitting by the pool but after the sun went down the pool was an enjoyable place to relax and have a drink.

Check-in and check-out went quickly and overall the staff was very helpful.

If you haven't stayed here, give it a shot. Before trying the Golden Nugget about 2.5 years ago, I stayed at Caesar's, Mandalay Bay, the Mirage, Venetian and the Flamingo. I haven't regretted making the change to the Nugget.

We love being downtown and have stayed at the Golden Nugget many times and have always been impressed with it (even before the shark tank pool). I really don't know how to say this without sounding crass but if you enjoy adult time and peace and quiet around the pool you won't find it anymore at the Nugget (at least during the summer break season).

The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are a value, and being downtown is a blast.

Our flight out was delayed by several hours due to weather, so we arrived late. Valet parking was full...not happy about that at all after traveling for 12 hours. We complained to the point that they agreed to park the car. They had no more smoking rooms, which we had requested, so we had to switch rooms the next day which was a major inconvenience. After moving, things settled down and we had a very nice time. The room was clean and had a nice flat screen tv and a decent view.
For whatever reason, on the third day of our weeks stay we began to have housekeeping issues, like no soap, toilet paper or washcloths being left. I had to call twice in one day to request items that should have been left when the room was cleaned. I leave tips daily, so I was quite unhappy about this. Their housekeeping staff definitely needs work.
Parking is a major issue with this hotel and it should be addressed. Hotel guests should NOT have to self park when they are checking in. That is just outrageous. I noticed they started asking to see room keys the next day before they would allow you to use valet, which is a good idea.
Other than those issues, the hotel was very good. Great location, and good value as always. We would certainly return. We love Fremont St and the Nugget has one of the best locations. Room service was excellent btw.

We arrived around 11:00pm and the staff was very helpful. We had two children with us, one 6month old and one child that was 4 years old.The front desk manger immediately upgraded us to a room with a better view and one that was in a quiet area. The overall day to day staff was great. They tried to help in any way possible.It was great to be downtown and not have to walk far for entertainment. Fremont street had bands on every corner. In prevous trips,We have stayed on the strip but I am now going back downtown.
