we booked a hotel downtown as it was so expensive to stay on the strip at christmas.we were very surprised with how good the hotel was.we arrived late and checked in with no problems.our room was spacious and recently redecorated to a good standard.the bathroom was small but had a fantastic shower, which was hot and powerful.room had all the usual for a usa hotel, huge bed, coffee maker, large tv,iron, hairdryer, ect.rooms cleaned every day and fresh towels.our room was above the fremont street experience so every hour for ten mins until midnight was noisy,so,the next day we asked could we switch to a room across the hall so we wouldn't be over the light show which was done without any fuss.reception staff were very polite and helpfull.would stay here again.

I stayed at the Four Queens with my brother and his lovely wife. We had a great time. Our rooms were clean and cozy. The Veranda cafe had great meals and prices. I loved to watch the tables while I enjoyed the 6.40 primerib, 4.00 burger and fries, and the 3.00 steak and eggs. The best rooms are in the tower facing the south side. The elevator was in the center of the casino and just a short walk to the main entrance to Freemont St. I would recomend this hotel. Make sure to join the player's club, this is how I got the good food deals.

We usually stay on the strip, but got an unbelievable package deal to fly and stay at 4 Queens. Check in took about 5 minutes on a Sunday afternoon. Clerk very friendly. Hotel was booked for the night and we received a room on the 5th floor of the South Tower (Rm 533). Many people have commented on how slow the elevators are. They didn't seem to bad when we used them. Requested a non-smoking king bed and that's what we got. Opened door and room was great! Carpet was new, as was the bed, bedspread, lighting fixtures in bathroom and had a new flat screen TV. Room was updated with the exception of the bathroom. Looked like it could use a little paint and some upkeep. Bathroom was very tiny, but worked fine. Room was very large and looked toward the FSE. Could hear the shows a night, but since our tower was farther away, it didn't bother us at all.

Ate at Magnolia's 3 times. Very good food and service. Also, if you sign up for the player card, there are a few specials that you can get. For $6.40 we tried the prime rib special and also the baby back rib special. Came with salad, rolls, beans and choice of potato. Very large portions and food was very good as well.

Casino had for the most part friendly dealers at the BJ tables and a nice selection of slot machines. Drink service was good at the slots (even penny and nickel ones) and was excellent if you were at the tables.

Overall I was very happy with our stay here and would definately recommend to others and stay here again.

We flew in from DFW on a Funjet charter. Took the shuttle bus ($12.00 per person) from the airport to the Four Queens. Check-in was a breeze. We were given room 1531 (a suite). It was a corner room overlooking the FSE. The room had two full size sofas, two arm chairs, coffee tables, end tables, a desk and chair, plus a fridge and a king bed. The bath had his and hers sinks and nice thick towels. The soap, shampoo and lotion were plentiful but not high end. There was a separate dressing area with a mirrored closet. We left the maid a $5 on the pillow each day and they took care of everything we needed. The casino is smokey but still fun. The dealers were for the most part friendly and fun. The cocktail service was excellent. The coffee shop, Magnolia's, is quite the bargain. Breakfast was $4.00 for your choice of ham or steak, two eggs, hashbrowns and your choice of toast, biscuits, english muffins, etc. Their dinner special was $6.40 for your choice of soup or salad, your choice of prime rib or baby back ribs, baked potato and the vegetable of the day. Again we had excellent service and a great bargain. This is not gourmet food but it is really good and you cannot beat the price. They also had a burger and fries special for $4.00 but we did not try it. We did see others who ordered it and it looked good if you were in the mood for a burger. You have to have a players card to get these speical prices. Just go to the promotions desk after you check in and sign up. Better yet, go on line to fourqueens.com and fill out their players club form, print it out, give it to them at their promotions desk and they will give you a nice Four Queens duffel bag/tote bag for free. Checkout is normally 12:00 noon but we asked if it would be possible to extend the checkout time. They let us check out at 1:00 PM instead. That extra hour made things much more convenient for us. We took a taxi from the FQ back to the airport and it was about $25 if I remember correctly. Overall, we had a great time at the Four Queens and would be happy to stay there again.

  • Liked — The location - Right in the Middle of the Fremont Street Experience
  • Disliked — The $25 taxi cost to the airport.

I stayed at at the Queens Dec. 22 -24. It was better than I had expected. I had read the reviews on the construction and the rooms being dated. I was pleasantly suprised. Apparently they had updated some rooms. When I opened the door to my room I smelled the fresh scent of new carpet. The furniture smelled of new cherry wood. We came on a good day...the mattresses were very new too. The bathroom could have used some updating...but sowhat...it took care of my basic needs. An excellent breakfast and dinner value. Steak and Eggs for $4 and delicious Prime Rib for$6.40. I ordered the gumbo soup instead of the salad...oh my...it was breath taking. I have still have dreams on how tasty it was. Remember to get your players card cuz you will need it to get the reduced meal prices.

We were casion hopping. The Queens by far gave the best quality t-shirt for a mear 40pts. Maid service was good. No complaints. The halls were not noisy. We probably paid $83 per night with a pkg purchased via Worry Free Vacations.

Great location too. I plan on staying there again.
