We flew in from DFW on a Funjet charter. Took the shuttle bus ($12.00 per person) from the airport to the Four Queens. Check-in was a breeze. We were given room 1531 (a suite). It was a corner room overlooking the FSE. The room had two full size sofas, two arm chairs, coffee tables, end tables, a desk and chair, plus a fridge and a king bed. The bath had his and hers sinks and nice thick towels. The soap, shampoo and lotion were plentiful but not high end. There was a separate dressing area with a mirrored closet. We left the maid a $5 on the pillow each day and they took care of everything we needed. The casino is smokey but still fun. The dealers were for the most part friendly and fun. The cocktail service was excellent. The coffee shop, Magnolia's, is quite the bargain. Breakfast was $4.00 for your choice of ham or steak, two eggs, hashbrowns and your choice of toast, biscuits, english muffins, etc. Their dinner special was $6.40 for your choice of soup or salad, your choice of prime rib or baby back ribs, baked potato and the vegetable of the day. Again we had excellent service and a great bargain. This is not gourmet food but it is really good and you cannot beat the price. They also had a burger and fries special for $4.00 but we did not try it. We did see others who ordered it and it looked good if you were in the mood for a burger. You have to have a players card to get these speical prices. Just go to the promotions desk after you check in and sign up. Better yet, go on line to fourqueens.com and fill out their players club form, print it out, give it to them at their promotions desk and they will give you a nice Four Queens duffel bag/tote bag for free. Checkout is normally 12:00 noon but we asked if it would be possible to extend the checkout time. They let us check out at 1:00 PM instead. That extra hour made things much more convenient for us. We took a taxi from the FQ back to the airport and it was about $25 if I remember correctly. Overall, we had a great time at the Four Queens and would be happy to stay there again.
