My fellow travelers . . . Please don’t let older reviews of this property discourage you from staying at this property. I think it is a hidden gem in the sea of Las Vegas hotels.

My husband and I stayed here over the Thanksgiving weekend. Most room in this hotel have been recently remodeled and we received one of the new rooms. New carpet, paint and furniture and very clean.

I think this hotel has the best location on Fremont street. A short walk to the main street if you wish to take the city bus to the strip, yet located right in the middle of Fremont Street itself.

The hotel has a café style restaurant called magnolias and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. You can also order Microbrew beer from their Brewery also located in the Hotel. The Microbrew restaurant (I can’t remember the name for sure, but I think it was called Chicago Microbrew) also had excellent food and was a nice quit place to take a break. For a special treat, Hugo’s cellar is an excellent place for fine dining and one of the best places I think I have dined in Las Vegas.

Last but not least we had the best luck in this casino for slot machine jackpots. I won $800 within the first 20 minutes I was there on the Wheel of Fortune Dollar machines located on the wall that faces Fremont Street. Our friends did very well on the poker machines located throughout the casino. Also the dealers were very friendly.

After 25 years of visiting Vegas about three times a year, this has become our favorite hotel to stay at.

  • Liked — Friendly Staff and excellent value
  • Tips/Secrets: — be sure to get a players card and have your play rated by a casino host before you leave. It is very likely that you will be comped for food and perhaps even your room.

Four Queens room 1501 in the North Tower was close to the elevator in the tower next to the Fremont Street Experience (FSE). You could close your hotel room door, take the elevator and be on the street within about 3 minutes and about 20 steps. This beats the block+ walk through Golden Nugget, Fitzgeralds, and Fremont to get to the street from their rooms. You could not really hear the FSE from the room, but you would on the rooms on the other side lower down. The window had a view of the Nugget and the other Queens tower and parking garage. The room is small about 15’x25’ total. The window is about 4’x15’. The bathroom is about 6’x 9’ and a large closet about 2.5’x 5.5’. The main room is about 15’x15’. The furniture is classy mahogany looking including 2’x4’ table, two table chairs, TV stand with 2 drawers, 2 night stands with 2 drawers, and one king bed. The closet doors are mirrors. The room has central air, alarm clock, hair dryer, standard hotel 3 cup drip coffee maker, $0.75 phone calls, good wireless internet $11.99 per day and room food service. Like most LV hotel rooms the lights were too low of wattage to read. Magnolias Café has excellent food and specials. There is a pizza place and coffee, donuts, ice cream parlor hidden in the corner where Burger King and sushi bar used to be. Maid service was polite, detailed, and excellent. The small 24” remote Philips TV had in room movies. The zip code for the online Yahoo TV schedule is 89101 and Cox Communications (digital) is the cable provider. The room TV stations are:

The North Tower has red key cards and the South Tower has purple. The ice machines in th North Tower are on floors 2, 9, 10, 12, 16, 18, and 19 while the soda machines ($1.50 coin) are on floors 5, 8, 11, 15, and 17.
I will stay in the North Tower again since it is so close to the street and other casinos. The room was closer to the front doors and casinos of the Fremont, Binions Horseshoe, and Golden Nugget than the rooms in their own hotels. The down side was the central air could not get the room temperature below 70F easily and the small room and bathroom size. The room check in (on Sundays to get keys to go into the room) could not be before 2 PM and room not guaranteed clean until 4 PM so use the bell hop and wait around with a dirty room or forget the early arrival flight on Sundays. On Monday I saw people checking in starting at 8:30 AM. There was a new airport boarding pass printing machine near the reservation desk for about $1 per minute plus $0.50 per page.

  • Liked — closest to FSE and casinos
  • Disliked — limited cleaning staff
  • Tips/Secrets: — ask for North tower is a must

I booked a 7 night stay via a UK Website, and was a bit wary after reading reviews abouth this hotel.
I was pleasently surprised when checked into my room ,it was recently refurbished and was extremely pleasant, the housekeeping was exceptional, and by joining the players club I obtained excellent discounts in the restaurant....upto 65% wow!

We just returned Nov 11th from a 7 night stay at the Four Queens. Our room was in the North Tower #516 facing Freemont St. just under the canopy. The room was recently renovated very nice, very comfortable bed and very clean. Maid service was timely each day. The room was small especially the bathroom and as you entered the room other than that area it was fine. I was concerned with noise from the street but most nights after a busy day in Vegas we never had any trouble sleeping. We ate breakfast most days at Magnolias and had a couple of dinners as well with the players card breakfast was very reasonable and all meals were very good. We had rented a car this trip and parking was easy and free. It was another great trip and I would recommend the hotel and would stay again. Previously most of our visits have been at the Golden Nugget.

My first trip to Vegas was in September of 2005 my second was for New Years 2005 into 2006. Both times we stayed at the Four Queens. My friend goes to Vegas at least twice a year, most of the time at the Four Queens, so he has a lot of comp and is always invited for special promos.

Overall the hotel really isn't that bad. Sure it is older and there are definitely places they could improve. But as long as you don't go there expecting the Four Seasons you will be fine!

The rooms were clean, big enough for both of us to spread out. The bed was nice and comfy (king size), everything worked in the bathroom LOL

We were a little worried about the noise levels as for the New Years trip our room was looking over Fremont, right under the canopy to the right of the 4Q's sign (from the standpoint of the hotel) From other reviews I read that the noise was really bad on that side. But I am happy to report that it really wasn't bad! Once we shut the window we really couldn't hear anything. One thing we did notice, there was a LOT of static electricity in the room! We attributed it to being directly under the canopy.

I would def stay here again, Downtown is more my speed!
