We just returned from a 5 day trip to Las Vegas and we stayed the 4-Queens Hotel and Casino on Fremont Street and I must say that I would not stay there again even with the daily rate of $50. The hotel is shabby and showing its age (even with the renovations that are going on). Our room was comfortable, but the bathroom as so small one could barely move in it and the bathtub had mildrew all the way around the edges. The furniture was cheap and there was cigarette burn marks on the carpet and comforter.

And I would not recommend this hotel or area if you are under 65 years of age. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the elderly, but if you are looking for a rockin good time, DON'T stay on Fremont street

On the up side...the staff was incredible!

My wife and I spent 10/30 & 10/31 at the 4 Queens, first time there, and we were pleasantly surprised.

First off, this is not a 4 star property, but you get what you pay for (and in our case nothing, since we got our stay comped for our play, which is GREAT!). So if you want “resort” quality, stay on the strip if you can afford over priced rooms.

Our room was OK, nice king bed, enough room, the bathroom a bit small, but we only got the $49 a night room, so that is expected. Old looking, but most of downtown in old looking, that’s kinda of the charm of it. Old Vegas feel, before Meg Resort Boom. We were on the first floor of south tower (“newer” tower), so the elevators weren’t an issue for us. Hugo’s was very nice place to eat for the price ($100 for 2). Had a better meal there than at the Eiffel tower at the Paris (but without the great views).

Casino was nice, not huge so you can get lost, be enough open tables and slots (could use a poker room). All TITO slots, not too tight and low table mim gave us a lot of play for our budget. Mostly friendly dealers and staff, small enough were the Hosts and Dealers would remember your name (and get better comps that way). Just a few steps outside to Freemont St and all the other downtown properties (and right next door to the Golden Nugget), so you could take an easy walk to another property and not worry about anything.

I’d rate it 2nd best on Freemont Street, right behind the Golden Nugget, which is probably the crown jewel of Downtown Vegas. Hopefully get to stay there again (or maybe try out the Nugget next time).

To sum up, great place to stay for a short trip to downtown Vegas, just don’t expect anything like the Mega resorts on the strip.

See ya next time in Vegas, baby..:-)

Stayed there the last weekend in Oct. The overall upkeep of the hotel and the rooms were quite well. The rooms exceded what we expected and are still being upgraded with flat screen tv's.

What is real nice is the 4 Queens has one of the show tciket sellers on property where you can buy tickets for any show in LV.

The only complaints were that the daytime cocktail waitresses seemed quite rude as a whole and there was not much winning going on at the slots. Also, the resturants are fair at best and attitudes were disappointing. However, restaurants in the Fremont strip area are very good and you can't eat and drink cheaper than on Fremont.

This was my first time on Fremont and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again, a great deal and very easy to get around. You can always drive up to the "big strip" if you want.

My husband and I stayed at the Four Queens from October 12 - 16th. While it is not a five star property, it certainly exceeded our expectations, particularly after reading some of the reviews on this site. The staff was attentive and met our expectations. The first night, we smelled a lot of cigarette smoke in the room (despite being on a non-smoking floor). The next day we asked to be moved and were given another room on a different floor without any hassle at all. The rooms (both of them) contained king sized (quite comfortable) beds. They were clean and reasonably well-kept (although somewhat showing their age). We also enjoyed gambling here - they do actually have one $2 blackjack table and you can often get on, if you don't mind waiting for a bit of time. I am new to blackjack and didn't want to spend lots of money learning the ropes. Don't bother with the breakfast (even the $4 special rate if you become a players club member)...the $5.99 buffet (weekdays) at Main Station far exceeds anything you can get at the Four Queens and includes juice and coffee (unlike the $4 breakfast special at the hotel restaurant). All in all, we will stay here again, without hesitation.

We stayed at the 4 Queens from Thursday, Aug 31 through Monday, Sept 4. We loved it. This is an older hotel and lacks the glitz of the strip hotels. But it is inexpensive and has its own type of charm.

The staff was very friendly - never heard a cross word from anyone. It was extremely busy and everyone was very friendly.

The room was very clean and the cleaning service was always prompt.

No complaints - will book here next time we do Vegas.
