I went to sleep in the car one day while a friend was driving and when I awakened I noticed that we were actually on the way to Las Vegas. Without plans or reservations, I decided to find the cheapest possible room, hearing about a $13 per night room at Buffalo Bill's. I can't say that I'd like to stay that far from town, but I thought something a little closer and pricier would be great. After I reached 411 to see about locating cheap rooms, I was transferred to 866-vegasnow (or 800 or 877?). The operator gave me several choices and the best one was the Four Queens in downtown. For only $29 per night, I couldn't lose out.
The room: was a bit dusty and did not have a view.
The casino: was just like all the others.
The restaurant: was like a Dennys! (bad or good, depending on what you get)
The bar: was - I don't remember.
Bottom line: It was cheap and the reservation was on the spot and near the downtown street that was renovated with a nighttime light show. If you are spending $100+ per night, find deals at the strip. Otherwise, go with "the fabulous Four Queens"!
