For every good report on here there must be 2 or 3 bad ones so I was slightly worried after booking at CC.
First impression was not good as queue for check-in was 30 minutes but they did find my booking immediately and asked me whether I wanted high or low rise room. They also advised me of $1 charge per day for telephone calls which I was aware of.
Room in Sky tower was of a good size although pretty dark even with all 3 lamps on, but bathroom was well lit and clean with a great hot shower.
Towels were changed daily as were soaps and shampoos etc.
No problem with using the safe even if it costs 50c per use.
We had been advised that there may be problems with the lifts but this was not the case as we had to wait only a minute or two at most for them to appear.
We ate at the Casino cafe (old Pink Pony?) - nice food,The Steak House - very nice but very dark in there and the famous buffet!- ok food but not worth $43+ (4 of us) so only used there if we could not be bothered going elswhere.
Circus acts were ok - it was free but did not last long ;10 mins at most per act - Clowns had their own show in the Adventure Dome - major dissapointment here as this was the only place we saw them throughout our week's stay. I would have thought that they would be out and about the hotel.
The website says that they have over 80 gaming tables - I don't know where they put them all!! Maybe we saw 20 or 30 but certainly not 80 and a lot of them were covered up most of the week.
Plenty of slots of course - every game you could think of.
Visited the Adventuredome with the kids - they enjoyed some of the rides but my daughter didn't want to go back on the Inverter - can't say I blame her it stops with you upside down at the top of the ride!!
When it came to checking out used the fast service using the remote and the TV - no problems and got a taxi from outside the hotel to the airport.
Overall opinion not bad for what we had paid. Certainly for a cheap base for a Vegas holiday it was ok.
Don't be put off by the bad reviews, If you want a top notch hotel you would not book here, but with kids it's ok and we would stay here again.

  • Liked — Great for family with kids
  • Disliked — Check in

We stayed in this hotel for two nights in April 2006. It was not expensive. We got more than we expected. A large room with anything we needed. And it was clean. The staff was friendly but they were very busy.

The hotel is very large. We could not find the reception anymore. After we had checked out we could not find our car too.

In the hotel we had a lot of fun. The circus was great, a lot of gambling machines and a lot of shops.

The food was okay. Not the best we had but for the price it was good. You can take what you want.

The next time we go to Vegas we probably will stay again in this hotel.

There is nothing wrong with this hotel other than I found the bed to be alittle hard & the walls alittle thin. The food at all the restraunts we tried was great! It is on the far end of the strip but we didn't mind the walking ...

  • Liked — Loved the food
  • Disliked — Didn't get a strip view

I was worried about staying at Circus, Circus after reading the reviews here but it really was a nice hotel. We stayed in the West Tower which has recently been refurbished and this was evident. The carpet, decorations and furnishings were all immaculate and smelled new. The room was a decent size and the bathroom was very spacious.

Despite the quality of the hotel room I would not stay here again for several reasons. Circus Circus is one of the older hotels and is located to the North of the Strip. This means it's a damn good walk from most of the attractions and other hotels. If you take into consideration the sheer size of the hotels themselves, including the casino's it takes forever to go anwhere. We estimated that it took between 10-15 minutes to get out of our hotel!! The restaurant level is HUGE with around about 6 eateries to chose from, not including shops and kiosks selling and advertising various things. The hotel was very busy and the casino was jammed with people, this added to the time it took to exit the hotel. One good thing about this was that I'm sure I've lost weight after walking a million miles everyday! :o)

The staff weren't anything special and while they weren't rude, they certainly weren't as friendly as most hotel staff I've encountered during my many stays in the USA. That said I did call housekeeping to report a faulty tap in our bathroom and they fixed it almost right away, so that was good service.

I realise that all the major hotels on Las Vegas Blvd make their money from casinos and that's why they're built BIG, but if I had to go back again (and I probably wouldn't) I'd stay just mid-way down, or off the strip in a smaller hotel. You'd save yourself a lot of time doing this.

  • Liked — It looked pretty from the outside
  • Disliked — That it was four million miles away from everything
  • Tips/Secrets: — Ask for a room in the west tower as it's been renovated and refurbished recently

Good hotel.....so much to do. Caters for all sorts of age groups. Food hall & casino were great. Rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels daily. Staff were firendly in the hotel. 1 complaint & it could just be a coincidence but on our last night (a friend had won 6000 over 3 nights on the same roulette table) 2 of the floor managers seemed to be interested in getting us to leave the table at all costs and became quite rude which disappointed us as other than this it had been a great holiday for us.

  • Liked — Close to strip & lots to do in the hotel
  • Disliked — Floor managers on the casino floor...2 in particular
  • Tips/Secrets: — ideal for easy access to the rest of the strip
