Myself and my 2 friends stayed at the Circus Circus hotel for 3 nights in July. For the price we paid, we were very impressed with our room, it was a great size, the beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was also very spacious and the bedroom and bathroom were spotless. We were on the 26th floor had a great view out towards the stratosphere hotel and pool area. The hotel itself was crazy but in a good way! Great fun with the adventure drome and the circus acts - lots to keep children entertained. There are loads of restuarants, snack areas, gift shops, bars and even a wedding chapel! Particularly recommend the all you can eat breakfast buffet! The only thing I would say is that it took us a good 15-20mins to get from our room to the reception area so be prepared! Also be prepared for a potentially long que at check in when you arrive. There is a small pool and snack bar area outside which we were happy enough with but wasnt the greatest to be honest. Location-wise the hotel is at the bottom end of the strip but there are plenty of taxis and a bus stop nearby. It's obviously not the fanciest of most modern of the vegas hotels but as somewhere to be based in vegas I really dont think it can be beaten for value.

“great budget hotel”

Circus Circus Hotel & Casino Las Vegas

Stayed at the Circus Circus last week (in the tower), very pleased. It was cheap, so we didn't expect luxury. The room was large, clean and comfortable. A few bits of peeling wallpaper in the halls, but no probs in the room itself.
The hotel is huge, so be prepared to walk quite a way to get to the rooms, through the casino, and past the restaurants and theme park. I think this is just a Vegas thing though!
Location was ok, a bit far from the rest of the strip, so we did a lot of walking. We knew this when we booked and I don't usually mind this, but with the weather over 100f, it was a bit of a problem. The buses were not good, they were completely overwhelmed. Not enough buses, too many people. It was rare that we got the first one that arrived, we usually had to wait for the next one.
Great facilities in the hotel, I'd recommend the Garden Grill and the Barista was great for getting croissants and bagels for breakfast. The pool was nice too. .
In general, a great place to stay in Vegas if you're on a budget. No complaints!

This hotel is no 5 star property, but the people that check in at rock bottom prices expecting even close to that are the ones that need to give their heads a shake.

It is a budget accommodation and nothing more, and that is what I am looking for. It reminds me of the people that used to check into our hotel in Vancouver at a rate of around $60/night and then complain it doesn't have the amenities of the hotel across the street which is on average $300/night.

Plus all the people that don't do research before taking a trip across the country or across the world that wind up in the manor rooms. What more to most people want for rates $40-$70/night. I see someone write that the casino was average and bland, and when they went down the street to the belagio, wynn, etc they got a WOW factor that they didn't get here, no really. When those hotels are on average $200-300/night without some kind of special deal what do you expect. I use it for a room to sleep and then go down the street and hang out elsewhere. I realize what it is when I check in. Don't whine when it winds up being exactly what it is, no more, no less.

“Second review of this property......its on a downhill slide!”

I stayed at Circus Circus two years ago and wrote a review on what a good value this property was. Sadly, Circus Circus has really gone downhill in two years! I was in Las Vegas for a conference that was being held in another hotel and chose Circus Circus due to my last stay being so good and a great value.

My room was very dirty and worn looking. It smelled like clorox and the sheets were thread bare. There was no coffeemaker, the sink had no stopper, the shower/tub had mold and was cracked. It was a non-smoking floor - yet people smoked from the elevator to their room -- I'm sure they stopped smoking at their room.... The food was horrible..just horrible. Avoid the pizzeria, unless you enjoy grease filled pizza.

I am so disappointed at the changes. Circus USED to be a great value - not any longer!

It's easy to see why most ratings are 1 or 2. Check in was a nightmare, our room was a quarter mile walk to the "manor", and it didn't smell good when we got there.

Someone came by to ask how we were doing. We pointed out that the toilet had overflowed, wouldn't flush and had wet the bedroom carpet. She promised to have someone look at it right away. They never came. But we only stayed one night and left. Good luck to the next occupant.

Its a shame that a fine old hotel is left like this. Guess its time for deep pockets to tear it down and build a new one.

So it goes.
