“Nice hotel, but nothing to rave about”

The room was large with a Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. We stayed on the 14th floor in the Roman Tower and had a nice view of the city and the mountains. I have to admit, however, that I was a bit disappointed in this hotel. For over $300/night, I thought there might be more amenities. We waited in a long line to check-in and then there were no bell hops for our bags. When we inquired about the gym, we found out it was $50/day if we wanted to use the facilities. We decided to go for a walk instead. When we went to leave, there was also a long line for a taxi to the airport, but it did move quickly. I guess the lines are to be expected, since the hotel is so large.

We did see Cirque de Soleil's "O", which I highly recommend, and Danny Gans, who was entertaining. For shoppers, this is a mecca, although there aren't any bargains.

“Caesars a great time!”

Caesars Palace Classic Hotel

Stayed at Caesars for three days over a weekend and had a great time. After reading reviews here I opted for the augustus tower room. Great room with lots of space. Very quiet even though the hotel was sold out. We traveled with friends who stayed in the centurian tower and were not impressed. No ice machines, no mini bar.

Loved the pool. Really enjoyed the Augustus Cafe where the food is just excellent. Try the vanilla soaked apricot crepes or the eggs Benedict.

Friday we entered the Pussycat Dolls Club. As guests of the hotel we flashed our room key and were escorted past several hundered people waiting to get in just in time for the show. Very hot.

Ate at Boa and Spago in the Forum Shops. Both excellent choices.

Placed my bet on the Kentucky derby at the sport book saturday morning and watched the race with about 2000 other people that afternoon. Yeah, I won.

Really have nothing to complain about. Thanks to everyone who gave me all the good info on this site.

“Beautiful appointments, rock-hard beds”

Caesars Palace Classic Hotel

The hotel itself is beautiful, as are the rooms. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom is filled with Aveda products. Also, the hotel is in a great location on the Strip, and the Casino/Forum Shoppes are must-see. The one-drawback: rock-hard beds. I was truly suprised how uncomfotable the beds were; if you stay here, be fore-warned.

“Maybe it's Vegas - But the Room Wasn't That Great”

Caesars Palace Classic Hotel

I recently attended a conference at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Ceasar's Palace was to be our homebase for the conference. I waited in "Disneyesque" line to get a cab to the hotel, then waited in another line (almost as long) to check in at the hotel! The Bellman convinced me that I might not want to tote my bag through the entire property, but I later regretted when it was midnight and no bag! I fell asleep waiting for my luggage to come.

I've yet to stay at a Vegas hotel that has a coffee pot in the room and/or good room service. The room was clean and neat, but I've been to other venues without the hype that are much better for the money!

Even for a nongambler - there is nothing cheap about Vegas!

“Beware of your valuables - great hotel”

Caesars Palace Classic Hotel

In total, we stayed at the Bellagio, Caesars Palace, and the Monte Carlo on a seven-day trip to Vegas. We stayed in the Augustus Tower and had a double queen room that overlooked the Bellagio fountains. The whole three days was absolutely brilliant. The only down point was that I left my purse on my bed and some clinique cream in the bathroom which went missing, I called security and they filed a report but it was still annoying having to ring all my credit card companies to cancel the cards. Despite this unfortunate situation the hotel was excellent and much better than the Bellagio – I recommend staying here but remember to lock all your valuables in the safe! Pool was so relaxing and lovely. The gambling was high limits so we went to Harrah’s and Hooters and came away with a profit! Caesars also let us stay in our room for an extra 2 hours after check out. Great food at the café near reception and despite the purse going missing overall this hotel deserves a five star rating, cannot wait to go back.
