I have travelled to Vegas a number of times for leisure and business, I have stayed in Caesars palace in 2007 and had a wonderful time.
On this occasion I went with my husband and parents, brother and family and said that Ceasars had been a really nice place to stay so we all booked in!
The location of Caesars is ideal, right in the middle of the strip. The only negative point is that if you have problems with walking it does not have a sky train station, however there is one about 15mins walk away.
The reception was busy as Vegas always is however there were only two people checking in at 1700. We booked the three rooms together and asked for them to be on the same floor, however the reception said they were unable to do this. We took a room on the floor below. Once at the rooms none of our card keys worked and we had to take them all back to reception to be re-programmed.
The rooms themselves were a nice size and had everything you could need. However all our rooms had little problems. We had no batteries in our remote, no robes and no shower gel. My parents room had no slippers, three of the spotlights in bathroom out of order. My brothers had no toiletries and no toilet roll. The rooms were however clean.
As the week went we had to ask reception for toiletries when we needed them, rather than them just being replaced by house keeping.
It is not the cheapest hotel, but was still a mid-range and from previous stays I expected so much more!!
The hotel buffet breakfast was probably the worst meal we had in Vegas. We arrived at 0900 to find tables as far as the eye could see of dirty crockery. Adventurely after the table had been cleared around us we ordered our coffee and juice. The coffee was warm and with no sugar on the table we took a bowl from another empty table as there were no servers around to ask. When one of the servers did arrive they told us those sugars were not for us and we would have to find our own server to get sugar! When we went up for food there was little left, and it was all cold and not particularly nice!
We did not return to the Ceasars Buffet, instead we walked up to Treasure Island which was a pleasant stroll at that time of the morning.
I am coming back to Vegas next month and staying at Treasure Island which I much prefer!
All in all I was so disappointed with what use to be a truely fabulous hotel!!!
