Ok so this review is a long time coming but I got there in the end.

We were lucky enough to win a trip to las vegas through my partners company. We stayed at the Bellagio for 5 nights in April of 2006.

I can honestly say it is the best hotel I have ever had the pleasure of staying in.

The staff were fantastic, the food was fantastic and overall the experience was amazing.

Absolutely loved the waterfalls, outstanding.

Can't say much on the value of money I'm afraid as it was all expenses paid.

Would say that I would go back in a heartbeat.

Wow, the Bellagio was a wonderful place to stay. The hotel itself was very beautiful. We stayed in a suite at the hotel. It was spacious and very beautiful. The overall service at the Bellagio was best of any hotel we have stayed. Although you pay a little more for the VIP service, it was worth it!!

The food at the hotel, although pricey was great. The Casino was very nice and the dealers were unbelievably friendly. There is not one negative comment that I can make about this fabulous hotel.

It you want to be spoiled and stay in luxury this is the place for you.

My husband and I stayed for five nights at the Bellagio for our Wedding Anniversary. We booked through AMEX Platinum Travel Services,
mainly because of the extras, dining credit, spa voucher and a room upgrade (if available).

My husband and I are were given a room overlooking the fountains, HOWEVER the stench of stale smoke would have taken your breath away. I contacted the front desk and they did move us twice within the main building and then to the spa tower (which was nice).

The girl at the desk advised that the rooms in the main building are due for renovation in the spring, they are pretty poor for the amount
of dollars charged per night (NOT 5*) and the walk through the casino
floor with luggage is not ideal.

We ate at the Buffett which was ok but not of the standard we had expected. The spa was fine until leaving when they more or less ask you to tip everyone.

I have stayed in a few vegas hotels over the years and i would say that this was NOT the best in terms of room size or service.

I think that the Bellagio's days as being the number 1 hotel has long gone.

The Bellagio is a fine hotel. It is beautiful and the rooms are spacious and clean.

We arrived at the Bellagio around 2:00pm on a Wednesday. The check in counter was somewhat busy. We probably waited 15 minutes until it was our turn. When we checked in, we were told that a non-smoking, king room was not available. This room was booked 6 months prior and we were not at all happy when we had to accept either a smoking king or two queens. We opted for the two queens.

The rooms are spacious and pretty. The bathroom is huge with a separate shower and also a very deep soaking tub. As with all hotels, you can hear your neighbor talk, flush the toilet, and open and close the room doors. I was surprised that the rooms had no coffee. I am not a coffee drinker, but I know that many people are. A hotel this nice should provide coffee for their guests. Room Service coffee is $12 for 6 cups, I think. I was also surprised that the television had no movie channels...no HBO, no Showtime. We were tired and stayed in one night and ordered a movie for $12. Also, a tip on the mini-bar and snack tray - everything in the mini-bar and snack tray is on a weight spring. If you even lift an item up, it triggers the spring and you are automatically charged for it! So, if you don't want it, don't touch it!

The casino is wonderful! There are plenty of $10 blackjack tables. The cocktail waitresses are not friendly at all. They don't want to be there and it shows. The casino is not as smokey as other casinos. They must have a really good ventillation system. The dealers are professional, maybe a little too professional. I prefer to have a little more fun while I'm losing my money! The Party Pit at Harrah's is just the place for that!

We had room service twice. We were pleased with both of those meals. We ate at Jasmine which was nice. It is quite pricey for Chinese food, but good food. We had two entrees, fried rice, two egg drop soups and two glasses of wine (house Chianti) and the bill was $160. Oh well, I had just won $15 at the blackjack table...had to splurge!

We had tickets for Cirque Du Soleil's "O" and it was terrific! We had front row seats and you do get a little wet sitting there because you are so close to the stage pool. If you are going to Vegas, I highly recommend seeing "O".

Overall, staying at this hotel was a great experience. I would definately go back.

  • Liked — The spacious rooms and clean casino.
  • Disliked — No movie channels, no coffee in rooms, way overpriced food & drinks.

I expected my stay to be grandeur, given all the hype! It was aclean room with a beautiful bathroom. However the room was small (I stayed in an upgraded room - perhaps a minisuite) and my companions and I felt like we were on top of each other. I felt like a fish in a big sea and there was no personal service feel despite being there for 4 days. We went at Christmas time so the gaming floor was quiet and everything was clean; very clean. We had a lake view room and I would recommend this upgrade if you have the option; I throughly enjoyed watching them service the fountains in the morning and the shows in the afternoon/morning.
