The Bellagio is a fine hotel. It is beautiful and the rooms are spacious and clean.
We arrived at the Bellagio around 2:00pm on a Wednesday. The check in counter was somewhat busy. We probably waited 15 minutes until it was our turn. When we checked in, we were told that a non-smoking, king room was not available. This room was booked 6 months prior and we were not at all happy when we had to accept either a smoking king or two queens. We opted for the two queens.
The rooms are spacious and pretty. The bathroom is huge with a separate shower and also a very deep soaking tub. As with all hotels, you can hear your neighbor talk, flush the toilet, and open and close the room doors. I was surprised that the rooms had no coffee. I am not a coffee drinker, but I know that many people are. A hotel this nice should provide coffee for their guests. Room Service coffee is $12 for 6 cups, I think. I was also surprised that the television had no movie channels...no HBO, no Showtime. We were tired and stayed in one night and ordered a movie for $12. Also, a tip on the mini-bar and snack tray - everything in the mini-bar and snack tray is on a weight spring. If you even lift an item up, it triggers the spring and you are automatically charged for it! So, if you don't want it, don't touch it!
The casino is wonderful! There are plenty of $10 blackjack tables. The cocktail waitresses are not friendly at all. They don't want to be there and it shows. The casino is not as smokey as other casinos. They must have a really good ventillation system. The dealers are professional, maybe a little too professional. I prefer to have a little more fun while I'm losing my money! The Party Pit at Harrah's is just the place for that!
We had room service twice. We were pleased with both of those meals. We ate at Jasmine which was nice. It is quite pricey for Chinese food, but good food. We had two entrees, fried rice, two egg drop soups and two glasses of wine (house Chianti) and the bill was $160. Oh well, I had just won $15 at the blackjack table...had to splurge!
We had tickets for Cirque Du Soleil's "O" and it was terrific! We had front row seats and you do get a little wet sitting there because you are so close to the stage pool. If you are going to Vegas, I highly recommend seeing "O".
Overall, staying at this hotel was a great experience. I would definately go back.
