My husband and I stayed for five nights at the Bellagio for our Wedding Anniversary. We booked through AMEX Platinum Travel Services,
mainly because of the extras, dining credit, spa voucher and a room upgrade (if available).
My husband and I are were given a room overlooking the fountains, HOWEVER the stench of stale smoke would have taken your breath away. I contacted the front desk and they did move us twice within the main building and then to the spa tower (which was nice).
The girl at the desk advised that the rooms in the main building are due for renovation in the spring, they are pretty poor for the amount
of dollars charged per night (NOT 5*) and the walk through the casino
floor with luggage is not ideal.
We ate at the Buffett which was ok but not of the standard we had expected. The spa was fine until leaving when they more or less ask you to tip everyone.
I have stayed in a few vegas hotels over the years and i would say that this was NOT the best in terms of room size or service.
I think that the Bellagio's days as being the number 1 hotel has long gone.
