My friend and I stayed at the Bellagio from 12/17-12/20 and had a wonderful time. We booked through Expedia and received an excellent rate for a lake-view room on the 27th floor. As others have mentioned, paying the extra for the fountain view is well worth it. I had watched the fountain show before from the sidewalk and restaurants but it doesn’t compare to viewing it from the privacy of your own room. Our room was not overly large but very nicely furnished. I have stayed at Caesar’s, MGM, and Aladdin and the Bellagio room was by far the nicest. The only negative is that you don’t have the double Jacuzzi tub which seems to be standard at most of the other hotels.
We used the fitness center/spa every day. The cost is $25 a day which includes unlimited use. The fitness center has about 20 treadmills, 20 bikes, and 10 elliptical climbers; all with personal televisions/headsets. There are also free weights and weight machines. The spas are separated for males and females but seem to be comparable. The women’s spa had 3 hot tubs, cold dive pool, dry sauna, eucalyptus steam sauna, and a personal shower/grooming area with everything you could imagine and numerous complimentary drinks. My friend had a massage and facial and enjoyed them both.
Although the lobby always seems to be crowded, we had no problems at check-in and it was very quick. The only long lines we ever saw were for the buffet, which we did not try. The chocolate patisserie also gets very popular but is well worth the wait. We ate at Olives, the Café Bellagio, Picasso, and ordered room service; all with no complaints. The only bad meal we had was at Fix and it just truly just wasn’t what I expected. My friend and I love to play blackjack. The dealers are very friendly and you can for the most part always find open tables with anywhere from a $10 to a $300 minimum bet. Our flight out of Las Vegas didn’t leave until 4:30. The hotel extended our check-out time till 1:00 and then recommended that we check our bags at the front which we did and allowed us to spend part of the afternoon at the hotel without dragging our luggage around.
