It was our first trip to Las Vegas (just got back on 12/29). Highlights: the fountains are unbelievably beautiful and worth a trip all by themselves; rooms were large, comfortable and fabulous bathrooms; service was extraordinary; ate at The Buffet for breakfast (huge selection) one day and Cafe Bellagio another day (fine, but not amazing); ate at Sensi one night (creative, delicious, presentation like works of art..only thing we didn't like was the music); pools and other ameneties were delightful; check-in, check-out and concierge service were easy and friendly despite hoards of people milling about the lobby. All in all, except for the hoards of people and smoking in the casinos and other places, we thought it was terrific.

My friend and I stayed at the Bellagio from 12/17-12/20 and had a wonderful time. We booked through Expedia and received an excellent rate for a lake-view room on the 27th floor. As others have mentioned, paying the extra for the fountain view is well worth it. I had watched the fountain show before from the sidewalk and restaurants but it doesn’t compare to viewing it from the privacy of your own room. Our room was not overly large but very nicely furnished. I have stayed at Caesar’s, MGM, and Aladdin and the Bellagio room was by far the nicest. The only negative is that you don’t have the double Jacuzzi tub which seems to be standard at most of the other hotels.
We used the fitness center/spa every day. The cost is $25 a day which includes unlimited use. The fitness center has about 20 treadmills, 20 bikes, and 10 elliptical climbers; all with personal televisions/headsets. There are also free weights and weight machines. The spas are separated for males and females but seem to be comparable. The women’s spa had 3 hot tubs, cold dive pool, dry sauna, eucalyptus steam sauna, and a personal shower/grooming area with everything you could imagine and numerous complimentary drinks. My friend had a massage and facial and enjoyed them both.
Although the lobby always seems to be crowded, we had no problems at check-in and it was very quick. The only long lines we ever saw were for the buffet, which we did not try. The chocolate patisserie also gets very popular but is well worth the wait. We ate at Olives, the Café Bellagio, Picasso, and ordered room service; all with no complaints. The only bad meal we had was at Fix and it just truly just wasn’t what I expected. My friend and I love to play blackjack. The dealers are very friendly and you can for the most part always find open tables with anywhere from a $10 to a $300 minimum bet. Our flight out of Las Vegas didn’t leave until 4:30. The hotel extended our check-out time till 1:00 and then recommended that we check our bags at the front which we did and allowed us to spend part of the afternoon at the hotel without dragging our luggage around.

This hotel is quite something. I really don't understand how negative comments of some people can be. What are they used to??
This hotel was just perfect. Extremely professional staff, incredible rooms, great pools...
We had a problem getting our room at first (still don't know whose fault this was) but they decided to upgrade us to solve the problem. That's what I call customer service.
The only thing I didn't really like was the buffet, but I'm afraid buffets aren't really my thing, as the other people of my party liked it a lot.
One more thing, if you book a room here, go for the lakeview rooms. It's definitely worth the extra money.
I've seen all the other major hotels, and they can't compete with Bellagio!

My family and I stayed at the Bellagio during Christmas (12/23-27). The Christmas decorations were very unique and beautiful.

Our room: Our room was in the Spa Tower. It overlooked the fountains and Paris. The view was amazing at night! The room was extremely nice and the beds very comfortable. We ordered room service two nights. The food and service was great. Room Service was very enjoyable after a long day of walking!

Bellagio Casino: The Bellagio Casino was very large, but I did not prefer it. I enjoyed playing slots at the Aladdin Casino. The staff was very friendly and it was less crowded.

Other: On Christmas Eve we went to the Lani Misalucha and The Society of Seven show at Bally’s. It was very entertaining for a low price (compared to other shows). The Society of Seven is originally from Hawaii. Starting in January they will be touring the world until June or July.

After going to all the hotels on the LV Strip I would definitely recommend the Bellagio. Just remember: the lobby is always full except for early in the morning.

We stayed here just one night during a trip touring around Nevada & Arizona. We had a fountain view room on the 26th floor - fantastic view, it's well worth paying a little extra to make sure your room faces the fountain. The standard of the room was excellent, especially given the price. Of course, the rooms are discounted to allow for gambling so we threw caution to the wind and blew $5 in the casino. The buffet was good value and the food better than average. We crammed the Blue Man show at the Luxor and the Star Trek experience at the Hilton into our one day stay. Overall, it was fantastic; the only dampener was it took two attempts to check in which spanned almost two hours and the check in staff didn't seem to care.
