The Bellagio was a great home base for us in Las Vegas. I wanted to walk around and look at all the other casinos and The Bellagio was pretty centrally located for that. I would not recommend vising Vegas in the Summer, I knew it would be hot, but being from Florida, I didn't think it would be that bad, it was unbearable. The Bellagio however, was wonderful, the rooms are beautiful and roomy and the service was great. We arrived about noon and were expecting to have to put our bags in a holding area until our room was ready. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that our room was ready to check in. We ate the lunch buffet the first day because we had tickets for a 7 O'clock show and knew we wouldn't have time to eat dinner before hand and it would be too late for me to eat afterwards. The buffet was so generous, that we didn't need to eat dinner. My only regret about the buffet was that I couldn't hold anymore. The quality and selection was superb, the desserts were a little disappointing though. The internet was $15 a day and if you touch anything on the mini-bar you are charged for it, but they do tell you about it when you check in.

Upon arriving at the Bellagio, the smell of the flowers and the beautiful lobby with glass blown flowers make you think you are in paradise. Too bad that the staff is not as 5 star as they are known for. The will not upgrade or do any extras what so ever. We asked for a late check out since we had booked a service in the spa over $200 worth but was told that after 2 would be a charge, appt was at 1. I notified the spa and told her we would be a few minutes late and she said that was fine. After being held up while checking out, we were late by 10 minutes and was told to have a seat, after another 10 minutes we were told we had been 30 minutes late (untrue) and would not get our spa treatments!
Ater a complaint to the mgmt. he told us we could have our room back for the last hour, no thanks!! Beware of things such as orange juice by the pool or in the Cafe it is a whopping $7.50 per glass, and other crazy charges in and around the hotel. Overall, the Bellagio has a long way to go to be a 5 star hotel !! Probably one of the best in Vegas, but do not expect 5 star service here. Best thing on property is the pool area.

Located perfectly for the whole strip The Bellagio is probably the best overall hotel in Vegas. I found the Venetian a little too OTT and the Bellagio is just about the perfect mix of opulance and entertainment / fun.

I especially liked the pool areas, there was always plenty of sunloungers available and the pools were huge. Room service twice a day was a nice touch also, the rooms were huge and had eveything you could want / need.

The Bellagio is a beautiful hotel located on a terrific section of the Strip. I was lucky enough to get a free room upgrade to a Strip view - fantastic! The room looked across to the Paris Hotel and overlooked the Bellagio Fountains. The front desk and maids were terrific, friendly, efficient and professional in every way. I can't say the same for the wait staff in the hotel restaurants. The wait staff were generally surly and inefficient. The food was mediocre at best. We ate in all of the hotel restaurants and were equally disappointed. It is hard to believe that a hotel as classy as the Bellagio would allow the restaurants to be so poorly run. Not to worry though, your stay at the Bellagio will be great - just eat somewhere else!
