This was our second visit to the Bellagio in seven months and everything was still great. Check-in line was not bad for a Monday afternoon; we traveled with friends and were given adjoining rooms. We had a lake view room on the 14th floor and it was very clean except some dust buildup around the baseboards. As other reviews have stated the rooms do need to be refurbished they are showing some wear and tear. New furniture and a flat panel TV and one in the bathroom would be nice as other first class properties in Vegas have these now. I would expect when the economy turns upwards some remodeling would start because it’s not going to be much longer before the rooms start to look bad. But overall it was a very comfortable stay again and the staff always goes out of their way to help and is extremely friendly. We would stay there again because we love the location; great employees and it still a beautiful hotel.

My husband and I were married on May 25, 2009 at the Bellagio and it was PERFECTION! Sandra, our wedding coordinator handled all of the details and was very pleasant and easy to work with. She offered helpful suggestions but was never pushy or impatient-a real joy. Our flowers-roses and gardenias-were breath taking and the smell was heavenly! Our photographer was Fasil and he was the absolute most fabulous professional you could imagine! My friends all said our photo's are so flawless that we look like celebrities! All of the services at the chapel were very personal and we never felt for one second as if we were in an assembly line of weddings. They make you feel special and allow you in indulge in a beautiful, unigue celebration. Our ceremony was officiated by a Priest (Father Peter) and it was reverent and personal and very much "us".We spent 2 nights in a lakeview room on the 17th floor. Our room over looked the the fountains and the Eiffel Tower. It was beautiful, large and spotless. The drapes and sheers are motorized and when they are closed the room is perfectly dark and quiet. We heard no noise from other guests at all. It was decorated in a cool blue-brown color scheme. We had two big chairs that we pulled right in front of the picture window to watch the fountain shows! The bathroom is gorgeous and pristine with marble and glass and features both a cool glass shower and a deep tub. It was amazing. We received salon services during our stay (pricey but hey, it was our honeymoon!) and ate at the Buffet, which was delicious. It seemed crowded at first but moved very quickly so the wait was minimal. Parking was easy and safe. The pool area is so lush, you feel as if you are in a European garden. If I had to cite a singular flaw it would be just the crowds-the lobby area was always packed and it was a long walk to the guest elevators with so many people. Still, you can't blame everyone for wanting a little piece of paradise!

We had a partial lake view room in the spa tower.....

The Good.....
1. Beautiful common areas
2. Free
3. The amenities rocked!! In addition to the normal stuff, they also included hairspray, a toothbrush, bath salts and a loofa. (I am not sure if we were given extra stuff because we were on a suite floor or if this is usual)
4. The Buffet (Yum!!)
5. View of Paris from our room at night was stunning
6. Fountain show
7. (Steam) shower was large and had good water pressure
8. Bose clock radio

The Bad.....
1. Crowded common areas
2. The room we reserved was sold out so we were downgraded
3. Customer service was a little suspect; none of the employees went out of thier way to smile or be helpful
4. The view of City Center from our room. Yuck!!
5. The room in the spa tower had two beds and one chair. Only one of us could sit and watch the lake show at a time comfortably. Seriously, could they not have put a second chair in the room?
6. The toilet faces the shower and there isn't that much space between the two. This seemed like a bad layout.
7. They piled the pillows in shams and the duvets that they (probably) use on the beds in the room. (This is where the extra chairs should have been.) They never actually made the bed with these items durring our stay.
8. Television was small, had bad sound and was dated - 27 inch rear projection.

Overall, I don't think we would pay to stay in this hotel because we always felt that we were an after thought. We stayed at GVR and Palazzo during this trip and thought that there rooms were much nicer in those two hotels and we were treated much more kindly at both of those hotels.

This hotel blew my mind. Opulent without being over the top (okay, perhaps a little), luxurious while still being completely comfortable and functional! Check in is a little hairy and the lines can get long, but it's so beautiful that you can't help gaping as you wait. The rooms were very nice. I never questioned the security of my luggage (as I have at other 5 star hotels) when we left for the day. I assume the suites and higher levels are much more fabulous, but I was happy with where we were.
We booked through www.VEGAS.com and got a perfectly wonderful deal (flight, 5 nights at the Bellagio and 2 tickets to a cirque du soleil for a little more than the price of a flight). I'm sure if we paid full price for the hotel the visit would have been less than stellar. We were on the 11th floor, high enough to be quiet enough and low enough to be reasonably priced.
