Stayed 3 nights...fri, sat, and sun. 17th floor standard room with a fountain view. It seems expensive is the only requirement for "luxury"....it IS expensive...but its not luxury....its really just a standard hotel room with mechanical drapes and a big marble covered bathroom with a nice glass shower. Thats it. Small flat screen CRT tv, worn carpet, flattened out cheap pillowtop bed, burned out light bulbs, sink that wont drain, dirty blankets... definitely showing its age. The hallway noise was incredibly loud....ive stayed in quieter Super 8s. People talking outside sound like they are in your room. You can hear doors up and down the hall at all hours.....they slam like a bomb going off...(good for security...bad for sleeping in). My biggest complaint was the mini-bar attendant who insisted on knocking not once but twice then walking in on us while we napped.....(privacy sign was on the door...front desk didnt care when we mentioned it on checkout). Overall....will never stay again nor recommend it as there are perfectly nice rooms elswhere for less money. The comments on the snack bar/mini bar are true....look at it wrong and charges show up on your bill...and the snacks are like everything else in this place.....premium priced ordinary. They had us billed for $50 in extra charges for things we never touched. Dont be fooled by the hype.....its quite an average hotel hidiing behind expensive pricing as a label for "luxury". Worth half of what they charge at best.

I created several problems for myself on this trip. First, I lost my wallet. It contained EVERYTHING!!. I panicked, and imagined myself with no ID. The security desk in the casino, went out of their way to help. I found out from them, that I had left it at the valet stand, when I had been there earlier. Security located my wallet, and had it returned to me, intact, not a thing missing.
The next day, when I was checking out, the valet brought me my car, and I realized with another shock, no cell phone, The valet called all over, while I went back to casino security, where it had been recovered. The emplyees were so helpful and kind, it made my stay.
All the service personnel were outstanding and delightful, that included housekeeping, waitstaff, and everyone of the employees I encountered. Kudos to the Bellagio.
Otherwise, my room was immaculate, the food I enjoyed, and the casino was fair to me, which means I got to play for a long time, and did not lose a whole lot of money. I saw "O" for the third time, and was continually amazed. The fresh flowers in the conservatory and thoughout the hotel, are incomparable.
There are lots of choices of upscale hotels in Las Vegas, but the Bellagio is trying very hard to maintain a top position. I would go back in a heartbeat.

To be honiest. The Bellagio is an expensive, crowded, resort/casinohotel on the strip. Check-inn can cost you a lot of time. The walk from the reception to the hotel-elevators can be a hastle and service is directly translated in the amount of the tip you give. My wife and I stayed a couple of days in june in the Bellagio. Got a room in the westwing on the 16th floor over looking the pool and the city-projoxt. The room was nice, classic design and furniture. Bathroom also great, dark-marble, liked the ornaments and the walk-inn shower. The climate-controle was great, no sounds whatsoever. Coming fron the elevators, entering the corridor to the westwing. We both noticed a not so nice smell coming out of the service-room. Didn't like that.
Also didn''t liked the helicopters that came over the nice pools every ten minutes. Irritating. We had some meals in some of the numer of restaurants. Only the Bellagio cafe has good quality one-plate meals for afair price. Rest of the restaurants are simply expensive. Even the buffet, for which you've to wait sometimes more than an hour.
All in all; the Bellagio isn't the queen of the Strip anymore, but still an very nice princess.
The accommodationquality is still very high. The receptionhall with the glasswork, the conservatory, the fountains and the lake are special. So is Cirque du Soleils 'O'. What a show.

We stayed at the Bellagio a single night 10 years ago right after it opened up and thought it was a wonderful place. So, for our first trip back to Las vegas since then, we opted for it again. It was the best decision we made on the trip.

We arrived with no reservations but were told by the front desk that upgrades were available if we had a standing reservation. My husband ducked out of line, called the reservations number, booked the cheapest room and then got back in line. The front desk staff then offered to upgrade him to a penthouse suite (1500 square feet, I think)for an additional $150 per night. We grabbed it and the room was spectacular! 3 flat screen tvs (living room, bedroom, and bathroom), a powder room at the entrance, and a mini-bar/kitchen area. Our total cost for 4 nights was $1200. Quite a deal considering what we pay for places in Maui and elsewhere where we usually go on vacation. Twice daily maid service made this even more wonderful!

The hotel itself has maintained its elegance since we were last there - the grounds are immaculate as are the pool areas with their lovely cypress trees. Despite the fact that we don't "look rich" (I am a rather dumpy-looking middle aged woman, much to my chagrin!), we were treated with the utmost courtesy by all the staff. (Much as we may hate to admit it, how one looks factors quite heavily into the service one receives at many higher end establishments.)

We went to the Cirque du Soleil "O" show at the hotel and it was quite impressive. (However, I actually enjoyed the Mystere production at Treasure Island more. Ka at the MGM Grand was on a par with the "O" show). "O" was the only Cirque show we attended that actually had a written dress code - very reasonable with no cut-offs, etc. - which was sort of fitting given the more "classy" feel of the Bellagio Hotel in general. You get a discount on the tickets for the production if you're staying in the hotel. Also, we felt that the buffet at the hotel was the hands down winner of the best in Las Vegas - food that spanned the exotic (ostrich & elk) to the familiar (chicken noodle soup & green salad) in amazing varieties!

All in all, we won't be going anywhere else the next time we go back to Las Vegas. In fact, we've decided that we're heading to LV rather than Hawaii for our winter vacation with the kids. There was an amazing amount to do with kids and no kid under 12 could possibly resist the spectacle that is Las Vegas. Despite the fact that the Bellagio appeals to a sophisticated, upscale crowd, the staff is still extremely kid-friendly and welcoming.

We went to Las Vegas to celebrate our 40th anniversary and my birthday from June 21 - 25.

We had no wait at all to check-in and were upgraded without even asking. Our room was in the Spa Tower on the 24th floor with a lovely view of the fountain. We could see across the street to Planet Hollywood and all the way down the street to the marquee of the Flamingo.

Our room was clean however, the carpet and upholstery had some stains that should have been professionally cleaned. Although bathroom was large with both a shower and deep soaking tub the overall size of the bedroom area was on the small side and not comfortable to have room service in.

The room had turn down service and was cleaned twice a day and had a large closet to hang clothes in as well as store your luggage. There was also an armoire with several large drawers for additional clothing and item storage.

There is a mini-frig but only for the hotel beverage and food items. If you need a frig you have to request one and there may be additional charges. There was a desk and wireless Internet available in the room which costs $14.99 per day.

Our bags were brought up immediately with no wait.

I think the pool area is one of the nicest I have ever seen. There were several pools and lots of lounge chairs. In the pool area, there were options for food and beverages and our favorite dining experience was at the Pool Cafe.

The Bellagio puts the service back in customer service. From the moment we checked-in through our departure, we were treated like royalty. The staff is friendly and helpful and easy to find if you need something.

We have been to Vegas several times in the past and usually stayed at the Paris or Caesar's Place. However, I can say we have never had such wonderful treatment as we experienced at The Bellagio.

The hotel is beautiful and I loved our stay and would stay there again in a heart beat.
