We went to Las Vegas to celebrate our 40th anniversary and my birthday from June 21 - 25.

We had no wait at all to check-in and were upgraded without even asking. Our room was in the Spa Tower on the 24th floor with a lovely view of the fountain. We could see across the street to Planet Hollywood and all the way down the street to the marquee of the Flamingo.

Our room was clean however, the carpet and upholstery had some stains that should have been professionally cleaned. Although bathroom was large with both a shower and deep soaking tub the overall size of the bedroom area was on the small side and not comfortable to have room service in.

The room had turn down service and was cleaned twice a day and had a large closet to hang clothes in as well as store your luggage. There was also an armoire with several large drawers for additional clothing and item storage.

There is a mini-frig but only for the hotel beverage and food items. If you need a frig you have to request one and there may be additional charges. There was a desk and wireless Internet available in the room which costs $14.99 per day.

Our bags were brought up immediately with no wait.

I think the pool area is one of the nicest I have ever seen. There were several pools and lots of lounge chairs. In the pool area, there were options for food and beverages and our favorite dining experience was at the Pool Cafe.

The Bellagio puts the service back in customer service. From the moment we checked-in through our departure, we were treated like royalty. The staff is friendly and helpful and easy to find if you need something.

We have been to Vegas several times in the past and usually stayed at the Paris or Caesar's Place. However, I can say we have never had such wonderful treatment as we experienced at The Bellagio.

The hotel is beautiful and I loved our stay and would stay there again in a heart beat.

This was my first time in Vegas, and not knowing any of the hotels, I scoured through countless Tripadvisor reviews to determine the best possible bang for our buck. My husband insisted on being located on the strip, so I narrowed down the selection to Bellagio, Venetian, Palazzo, Wynn and Encore. There's not a thing wrong with any of these selections. The Wynn and Encore are not quite as centrally located, however. And the Venetian and Palazzo, while perfectly acceptable, fell just a bit short of the class that is effortless in the Bellagio. When expedia.com offered a deal that provided a standard king sized room for roughly $105 per night (when combined with airfare and rental car for 4 nights), that clinched it for me -- there was no doubt in my mind that this deal was superb, and knocked the other selections right off the table.

We checked in on a Sunday at noon, and there were no lines. We weren't offered a free upgrade, and nor did I expect one. Our room was located in the spa tower, facing the mountains and a few off strip casinos. If you walked up to the window and looked straight down, you could see everyone sunning at the pools. The view was lovely, and so was the room, decor in beige and taupe tones in both the room and the spacious adjoining bathroom. The bed is extremely comfortable, which you'll no doubt appreciate after tramping around Las Vegas or the national parks all day.

I did make one strategic error of booking the O show at the later time on the same day that we arrived. I figured that we'd unpack, wander about the hotel, eat a nice dinner, and enjoy the 9:30 late show. Except, the late show was actually 10:30, not 9:30. And since we flew in from the east coast, I forgot that we were operating under a 3 hour time lag. So, in effect, I "booked" the O show for 1:30 am - 3:30 am (our time) on the same day that we had gotten up at 4 am in order to fly to Vegas. We were completely loopy by the time we took our seats. Still, it's a magnificent show.

The Bellagio is a first class, lovely experience. Is it the best that the world has to offer? No, of course not. Is it among the best that Vegas has to offer? Why, yes, I think so! If you are in your 20s, you may prefer a more modern and streamlined decor, but that is up to individual preferences of taste and style. We found that we couldn't go wrong with Bellagio food. Every time we went somewhere else, we were disappointed and came back to the Bellagio restaurants and excellent morning buffets.

If you want to see national parks, I recommend day trips to Red Rock Canyon and Zion National Park which are the closest. Grand Canyon and Bryce are better planned using bed and breakfast lodging to hop from one to the other, so you can spend more time enjoying the parks and spend less time shuttling back and forth from Vegas.

All I can say about this hotel is .... Amazing.

If you visit Las Vegas, and can stay here - stay here. The whole place is beautiful, staff are friendly and helpful. The fountains are breathtaking.

The rooms are spacious and most with fantastic views, the bathroom is as big as the room and the whole feel of it is relaxing and spacious.

Stunning hotel and central to everything.

Had fabulous time staying at the Bellagio

2nd time to vegas, stayed at monte carlo before, but friends insisted on staying at bellagio! we knew it was expensive, from our last trip, but got a great room deal, plus we got upgraded when checking in, so a great start to a great trip.
everything was of excellent standard, cleaniness, customer service etc.
buffet was good. had breakfast a few times and lunch once. good quality and plenty of choice. tip - if you arrive at a little before 4pm you can eat the dinner buffet for lunch time price. the other restuarants in the hotel are expensive, our friends ate at prime steakhouse ($200 for both of them all in inc tip), but assured us it was very good, (and he can be fussy when it comes to choosing food!)
the pool area was great, good service and enough chairs/loungers to choose from. free drinking water at the pool.
the venetian and wynn (add pallazo and encore to this) are certianly on a par with the bellagio, if you aren't looking to leave your hotel much, then its down to personal prefernce, all are excellent, but bellagio is probably in a slightly better location than the others. all hotels have some negative reviews, but with the volume of people travelling through these hotels, some bad experiences are inevitable, or these peoples expectations are too high. our experience at the bellagio was first class, would recommend to anyone, especially if you can get a good room rate, we, as would our friends, definately return here.
