Really excited-3 nights comped, but would have been very upset if paying going rates. Check-in was easy & early (11:00am) but room left alot to be desired. Stains on carpet, chair upholstery filthy, bathroom vanity and sink extremely stained. Absolutely worst things were horrible stench in hallways (21st floor) from service elevators and noise from other rooms, doors slamming, etc. Definately not my idea of 5-star. Hotel employes were great, bur restaurant service was slow and not very friendly. Great casino---actually had some luck! We've stayed in almost all strip hotels and would have to say room was very average.

well, where do i begin? we booked a 2 bedroom penthouse suite for 4 nights, during which we got married at the hotel in the East wedding chapel.
we booked direct with the hotel and got a great deal at $700 per night.

everything was perfect from start to finish!

the impeccable service began at the airport were we were met by our personal chauffer who transported us to the hotel by private limosine. we then enjoyed private check-in, at the executive lounge, where you can help yourself to tea, coffee, wine, cold drinks, chocolate dipped strawberries, cookies and muffins. The check-in staff were helpful and friendly and we were promply shown to our room on the top floor of the hotel. (room 36028)

this is where the magic really begins! the rooms were perfectly decorated in tasteful furnishings, with genuine murano glass pieces. we had 5 bathrooms in our suite, yes 5 haha! there was a guest toilet upon entry, plus each bedroom had a 'his an hers' bathroom. 'his' bathroom had a steam room and shower, and the 'her' one had huge jacuzzi tubs. they also had flat screen tv's in each room and bathroom. the beds were huge and extremely comfortable and there was plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. each of the rooms had floor to ceiling windows with amazing strip views overlooking the fountains and electric drapery, which was fun.
the lounge area had a large corner sofa and a separate dining area which seated 6 and a media center connected to the plasma tv, which had a station that played the music to the fountains right into your room! there was also a printer and wi-fi which came in handy during our stay.
my husband was delighted to find a bar area with seating and a fully stocked fridge with an array of spirits, snacks and soda.
each night we had turndown service, and slippers and robes were left by the beds. we also came back to a box of chocolates one night!
the room service was professional, the food yummy, the menu vast, and no request was too much for the staff, they couldn't do enough for us.
we didnt wait longer than 20 minutes for any food order, even during breakfast hours.

for the size of the hotel, you would expect to feel lost in the crowd, but the personal attention we received and standard of service was outstanding.

we also had our wedding here-ive done a separate review for that.

basically, if you go to vegas i couldnt recommend this hotel enough. we visited most of the other hotels and they all seemed so dirty and smokey compared to the Bellagio. it has a particular ambience throughout, even the restrooms were spotless.

Of course, you will pay for it, and believe me its not cheap, but if you're going to stay in a 5 star hotel there's no point getting a standard room. live a little and splash out on a penthouse suite overlooking the famous fountains which are spectacular- you won't regret it!

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights at the end of our honeymoon. My wife has always wanted to stay at the hotel and we were both looking forward to it. We did have a fantastic time at the hotel but there were a few things that spoiled are experience. I will start with good points
Good
Location - Beautiful building, overlooking the famous lake and right in the middle of the strip where you would want to be.
Food - The buffet is fantastic and very good value, the food is superb and plentiful. The Cafe and poolside bar are also of a high standard.
The Casino - Very comfortable and suits both seasoned players and novices.
Setting- If you are a first timer in Vegas, like we were, you really get the Vegas feel. Everything is done in a grand and oppulent way that you would expect from a 5 star Vegas hotel. From the glass flower ceiling in the lobby to the ornate gardens, everything is designed to amaze.
Bad
Rooms - We had a lakeview room which had a fantastic view but the rooms are really nothing special. I was expecting a large more grand room, especially as we had paid extra for the lakeview room.
Service - Upon check in I was not asked for my Credit Card, I did not realise at the time and continued up to my room. In the next few days I charged some food to the room. I then recieved a message that if I did not go down to reception and settle the bill I would be locked out from my room and asked to leave the hotel. I found this extremely heavy handed and lacking in foresight as I was on my honeymoon, which the hotel knew and was unlikely to skip the country over a $50 bill! I then had to wait 30mins at reception until somebody saw me and took my Credit Card. I was then told how wonderful it was that I could now charge items to my room and even watch films in the room!

This incident did annoy me but in all it was a good hotel. If you are expecting the greatest hotel experience then I feel it will fall short. However if you are looking for one of the more grand hotels on the strip, you wont find a better location and setting. Just make sure they swipe your Credit Card!

My girlfriends and I saved up our money to take a trip to Las Vegas, and we heard that this was a 5-star hotels, so we wanted the best--but unfornately we did not get the best. The lobby is beautiful, but the room was dirty and filthy. I called the manager of the hotel, who in return sent up the manager of room service to our room, and even she had to agree about what she had seen concerning the dirt and filth of the rug on the floor to the smelly chairs,

Then the manager of room service had the nerve to say--we will make sure your room is clean and even change the sheets. "Change the sheets, what have we been sleeping on for the last two nights.

The food is high and the service is horrible. I would not reccmmmend the Bellagio to a dog--and that is saying something.

My husband and I and two other couples stayed here for 5 nights. We had a deluxe room on 24th floor of the Spa tower. Room was huge with lovely comfortable bed, lots of wardrobe space and drawers for clothes. We had robes in our room but no slippers but just asked housekeeping and they were there in a trice. The bathroom was large with separate tub and very large glass shower and two basins set in granite tops, lots of marble everywhere. The supplied soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, mouth wash, sewing kit, amenity kit. All replenished every day.

We ate in Cafe Bellagio, next to the conservatory which is lovely, and also in the buffet for breakfast. This hotel is not cheap by any means but the breakfast buffet was very good, especially if you got there around 11am, as very soon after that, they start putting all the lunch stuff out, so you can have a brunch!! There is always a queue for the buffet, so quite often you would arrive around 10.30am but not get in until almost 11am. Virtually every hotel does the buffets for breakgfast, lunch and dinner but on Saturdays and Sundays it is brunch at a slightly higher price. We also tried the buffets in the Monte Carlo and Treasure Island, both were excellent. We did have dinner in the Eifel Tower restaurant at Paris Las Vegas which was good, but very pricey and I have certainly had better for much less money. Good view of the dancing fountains at the Bellagio though!

Be warned, in Las Vegas they put an 18% gratuity charge on for parties on more than 8 (most places). In the Eifel Tower restaurant it was for parties of more than 5! our gratuity charge was over $100!!

The pool area was lovely . We never had a problem getting a lounger at all, there were plenty available. Lovely big soft towel too.

My tip for getting around is use the buses, there is a service that goes up and down the strip 24hrs a day and costs $3 for one trip or $7 for 24 hours unlimited, Invaluable for getting around day and night as it is pretty hot out there and walking can be exhausting. We took a trip to Fremont Street which was the original strip. This area is now all covered and there is are free music and concerts every hour from 7pm-midnight. We had dinner in the Golden Gate hotel which one of the oldest and it was like stepping back in time but the food was great and cost much less than on the strip. This place is really worth a visit with all the old neon signs etc.

The highlight of our trip was a visit to the Grand Canyon which we booked at an agency on the strip. There is every combination you can think of, plane, helicopter, coach or a mixture af all which we did. We were picked up from the hotel and taken to Boulder City Airport where we flew in a small plane with 9 seats over the Hoover Dam. Lake Mead and the Canyon. Then a helicopter flight over and through the Canyon (awesome), which then landed at the bottom of the Canyon followed by a trip down the Colarado River then back on the helicopter again to take us to a coach trip around the West Rim and lunch. A trip I shall never forget.
