I've stayed at quite a few LV casino hotels - Bellagio's rooms are the nicest I've seen there, the service was also fair. The problem is that Bellagio, like no matter where you go in LV, is too crowded. Especially the pool areas! It is tough to get a lounge chair... music chosen by someone other than you is piped loudly into the pool area (if you don't like their particular brand of mind-numbing pop tunes, tough crap, you'll be listening to it all day). Wandering bands of cigar smoking insurance salesmen and girls desperate to pledge a sorority crowd the place out and do a great job of removing any sense of elegance. Maybe Vegas is the wrong place to look for elegance - but I think that's what Bellagio is trying to sell (and not cheaply). Also, the crowds are about to get worse: they're building yet another big new tower of rooms.

We arrived Friday noon (April 30) and check-in was a breeze. They already had a room ready for us, and it was a VERY elegant room and the bed was SO comfortable! We had the view of the pools and it was very nice. Nice bathroom also! We enjoyed the Buffet that night. Pricey but very good! We liked the Fontana Bar and the band was good. It was nice to walk out on the balconey and watch the water show in the evening. I was perfectly happy just staying there at the Bellagio, but of course we took in the Venetian and the Rio and Palms. Enjoyed that, but for gambling and nice atmosphere, the Bellagio was the best. I liked to get my coffee and just sit in the Baccarat bar and watch the people in the morning. We ate at Cafe Bellagio a few times and it was always good and the service was excellent! We have been to Vegas 6 times over 5 years and this was definately the nicest place we have stayed so far. We are NOT high rollers and we expect quality for our hard earned money and I think we got it at the Bellagio. We checked out Monday morning and it was easy. The Only thing I think they could improve on is the long taxi line outside and also be very careful of the in-room refridgerator ( the items are VERY EXPENSIVE and if you touch them or pick them up you just bought them) My husband also had a great time in the Sports bar betting on the Kentucky Derby! GREAT PLACE! We WILL be staying there AGAIN & AGAIN!

We were prepaid to stay at the Bellagio during the blackout they had. The management did not take care of their guests as they should of. We were shipped off to a hotel..not of our choosing... and they only set us up for the first two nights of our stay. We were left to fend for ourselves for the rest of our stay. I went back to the Bellagio to see what they could do for us, and they were so mean. We were suppose to find a place of our own and pay for it. I finally talked to upper management and they got us a room for one more night. BUT , we had prepaid at Bellagio for FOUR nights. They were not very nice and I had my 82 year old mother in law in the taxi with me and she is handicapped. It was a bad experience.

Yes, Steve Wynn has left the building, and it's so obvious! Bellagio is not the same place it was a year ago, or should I say the service and atmosphere are not, but the beautiful physical facility is still a place to behold! Tried to check in around 3:00 pm (with a guarenteed 12:00 noon check in from AMEX Platinum) and were told no rooms ready because a lot of people had paid for a late 6:00 pm checkout (lie?) -- after much questioning, manager surprisingly found a room for us. Another problem was the obscenely overcrowded pool (due to construction) lounge chairs actually touching each other-- so we rented a cabana ($200/day) and then they charge $12.00 for a drink (won't let you bring your own!) Housekeeping was nearly nonexistent some days (had to make several calls and visit the front desk to get my room made up by 5:30 one day) -- but special requests (feather pilows, bath salts, etc) were handled very quickly. Came back to our room late one night to find the door open (after maids had done turn down). Called the front desk, and no one seemed to care, except to say they would send maintenance up to fix it so it would close automatically -- did I mind if they came up now (2:00 am)? Learned from a long-time employee that when MGM took over the proerty in January they laid off 2,500 employees!!! Some of the remaining staff were excellent, but look out -- I believe there will be a mass exodus next April when Steve Wynn's new property opens across the Strip -- what will happen to Bellagio then? It definitely has problems.

I had the time of my life at the Bellagio! The room was wonderful! "O" was spectacular! The pools were so nice! ~ I felt welcome from the minute I arrived. ~ A visit to Las Vegas wouldn't be complete with out staying at the Bellagio!
