“Wow, Luxury and Splendour”

Bellagio

Wow! What a place! My husband and I stayed 2 nights here beginning of May. We had driven from Grand Canyon and parked in the Bellagio car park. This was well sign posted and easy to find. Then you get the lift down to the lobby - it didn't actually say "lobby" or "hotel" in the lift, it said "Casino" (of which more later). This hotel is VAST. On checking in we were given a map of the hotel - and boy did we need it. We were constantly getting lost. We had a standard double room on the 11th floor in the West Wing (!). The bedroom was lovely. all dark wood and traditional, with a lovely bathroom with enormous separate shower that you could fit 5 people in! We loved the little touches - curtains that open/close at press of a button, the robes (there was only one, but we didn't bother saying anything), the towels were thick and good quality, ditto the bathmat, the flannels and so on. And everything had "B" on it. The wardrobes had long mirrors inside and a light came on when you opened the door. Lots of space to hang/fold your clothes so everything could be put away. The bed was big and probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Only niggle if i'm nit picking - 2 of the ceiling light bulbs were not working, and my husband decided to have bath but we noticed no bubble bath provided. He rang room service and was told bubble bath was not provided. Not a major problem, but would have been nice. Our room overlooked over the pool area. There are 6 swimming pools! Not to mention the numerous shops and restaurants. Funny how you have to go through the casino to get to absolutely anywhere else - all carefully designed to part you from your money! We also saw the fountains out front which were briliant. Overall, this is an absolutely fabulous hotel and takes your breath away. Definitely worth a visit.

“Aging luxury property”

There's no doubt, the fountains at the Bellagio remain one of the best free attractions on the strip. But the Bellagio did not really impress as a whole. I suppose it is too much to expect premium service (while paying premium prices!) at a resort when its mission is predicated on quantity over quality, but the reception we received at the front desk was really shockingly indifferent and rude. I found the reception area and front desk to be a morass of chaos and confusion at all hours of the day (even midweek!). And the property itself, though not without its charms, is aging. Our standard deluxe room was surprisingly roomy...it was as large as some junior suites we have stayed in. The decor was nice, understated and tasteful. The bathroom was quite luxurious, with a separate shower and tub, and acres of travertine and granite. Nevertheless, although the toilet had some sort of turbo-jet flush (I swear I was almost sucked in!), the water pressure in the shower was poor. To compound matters, the shower head was leaking from its attachment at the pipe and so water was sprayed everywhere on the ceiling and out to the floor. The shower head also was half-clogged with mineral deposits, so no more than a trickle of water was coming out. A call to maintenance quickly addressed this, however. I must say the phone operators, etc were quite courteous and helpful, in contrast to the front desk. What was particularly annoying was a strong whistling sound through the windows (we were only on the 10th floor, but it was particularly windy during our stay). When I brought this up to the front desk, I was first met with apathy, then a "we can't do anything so you should suck it up" attitude. Frankly, when I am paying these kind of prices, I find this unacceptable. Finally, we spoke to one of the managers who offered to find us another room. Nevertheless, this kind of behavior soured me on the whole property. We'll try the Wynn next time.

“Very Nice Hotel - Loved the Pool”

The Bellagio was great, had all of the ammenities I expect in a top notch hotel and the polish was very good.

I will start with 2 complaints:
1. The Bellagio travel desk does not do packages from Canada. What? Fine I had to find flight and everything on my own.
2. The check in area is a zoo. I checked in on a Thursday afternoon and it was total chaos.

There are so many good things about this hotel that the list would go on forever. My room was on the 28th floor and facing the pool. The view was pretty good other than the major construction project that now dominates the majority of the skyline. The pool is absolutely beautiful as are all of the people sitting around enjoying it. The staff in the hotel is very helpful and top notch. They have a nice casino floor that is classy and somewhat quiet compared to some of the more circus like hotels. The restaurants in the hotel offered a very good selection and they have a night club and lounge. I never went to the night club but the lounge was good. This is a great place to take a girlfriend/wife.

I got the feeling that they were actually TRYING at this hotel, where some of the other locations take the attitude "Hey, you are in Vegas, just leave us alone"

“Very nice stay at Bellagio”

We walked through or had meals at other casinos. Truly, when you come back to The Bellagio after, you see a huge difference.
It is just much nicer. To get to your room and pool you need to show your room card to security which is nice.
I felt check-in and baggage service was much friendlier this visit than the last.
As far as the room goes, it is furnished very nicely, it is dark though. And because the hotel is so huge you may find some issues in the room that need to be addressed. We probably called about 3 things that were wrong or broken and they were pretty good about coming in a timely manner.
The one thing that SHOCKED me was the last time I stayed here you couldn't get a blackjack table on a weekend night for less than $15-$25/table. This trip there were at least 5 minimum $10 tables at all time. Must be the economy.
The pools are great and the cafe at the pool serves very good food.
You cannot order food at your pool chair, only drinks. There are a couple of bars and waitstaff who come around and take your order. The drinks are very good (pretty pricey too, but that is Vegas)
The spa is huge and if you have a service you have access to the whirlpools, saunas, showers etc. The spa was worth it.
Overall, great trip at Bellagio.

“Out of this world”

Oh wow,,,

fantastic from start to finish, every member of staff was helpful polite and very efficient, right throught from waitresses to the hotel conceirge.

the hotel was spotless, not the usual contemporary style we go for, but we just had to stay there because it we had been told it was the best.....

we were not disapointed....

the rooms were very spacious... upgrade to a lake view so you can watch the fountains.... you can't get bored of watching them!!!!

pool bar waitresses were generally quick but they collected orders from groups of people and so you could wait up to 20 mins, i was amazed watching them carry 20 drinks on a tray with one hand!!

Each of restuarants we went to (we couldn't go to all of them as you need to be there for 2 weeks!) served quality food at great prices. we only had to eat 2 meals a day... breakfast and lunch and that took us through to the next day!!!

free drinks arrived in front of us during our black jack games so even though we lost the odd hand... the drink compensated for it.... its an even sweeter feeling when you win!!!!

you really should go there its fabulous
