Stayed at the Aladdin for 7 days in Feb,have stayed there a couple of times before and have always been happy with my choice. I was aware of possible construction work before I travelled but was willing to take my chances as I had heard that it wasn't that bad.

Check in area is still temporary but does the job. Staff were polite enough, but it always confuses me as to who actually gets a free upgrade, I explained that I had stayed here a few times before and asked if I could have a fountain view room, " yes sir of course, that will be $30 a night extra ". Mmm not what I was hoping for.
I paid the extra and on arrival at my room found a note stating that due to construction work if you value your privacy it would be an idea to keep the curtains closed, as they were painting the outside of the building. Hang on but I paid for the view.

Casino had shrunk since my last visit, due to the temporary walls that had gone up during the transition from Aladdin to planet hollywood and although dust free sometimes the drilling was a pain.

Also everytime I got back to my room there was an answer phone message inviting me to taste the delights at one of the retuarants, first couple of times was ok but I felt that daily messages were too much.

All in all the Aladdin is in a great location with fantastic views of the Bellagio fountains, for that little bit extra money. Sure it will be even better and problem free when the transition is completed.

We had a small group stay 5 nights over Super Bowl weekend. Although there was work going on, it didn't have an adverse affect on anyone from our group. The room was fine with a nice bathroom as described by many. One downside was when I did in room checkout, my bill was right. When i checked my credit card account, they had charged for the bottled water they leave in the room. We didn't drink the water ( I learned from other reviews). I called and talked to accounting and they took it off after two phone calls. I did ask who I could talk to that was higher up to make them aware that it is a bad thing to do to irritate alot of customers. I hope it helps those in the future. They did have a great band playing (Sunset Strip). I would recomend them to everyone. Good drink service.

Wife and I stayed three nights, Sunday until Wednesday, in June and were severely disappointed. First of all, it wasn't cheap -- $209 per night. Was not impressed with service. Many dealers were rude and impatient. Buffet lines were too long to consider that option. A breakfast in the main restaurant, consisting of 3 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 pancakes, was about $17.00!
We've been to Vegas 100 times in the last 10 years, and stayed at 10 to 15 different places, but this was our worst experience.
We left feeling there was absolutely zero value.

After reading reviews on this site, I was pleasantly surprised with my stay at the Aladdin. Yes there's some jackhammering and construction equipment, the casino is hardly impressive to the eye, the temporary lobby is a bit of a hike and service tends to be a little cold, but at prices that are a fraction of the neighboring properties, it was a great place to find a comfortable room and easy access to better hotels next door. It's a 2 minute walk to Paris and about a 5 minute walk to the Bellagio, and if you're lucky, you'll get a room with a bird's eye view of the fountains.
If you're the type that would rather not set foot outside during your Vegas stay, then the Aladdin is not for you, but I'd stay here again as long as the price is right. I'd also recommend staying as high in the building as possible. I was on the 34th floor and heard nary a construction-related sound up there. The elevators are fast and generally uncrowded, which can be an issue in many high-rise hotels.

I enjoyed my recent stay at the Alladin. I was there from 12/27-12/29 right before New Year's. The service was wonderful. It is centrally located on the strip. We didn't need to rent a car but if so could have done it right at the hotel. There is a mall that is adjacent to the casino which came in handy since I forgot my sneakers. There is even a PF Chang's there along with other hotspots to eat in the hotel(the buffet is good but nothing like the one at Treasure Island with all the seafood you can eat). We didn't have to leave the hotel the whole time because everything was right there but we did. The monorail is located in Bally's a short walk away and that took us everywhere. We were able to get free tickets to see George Wallace from the people located in the hotel trying to get us to buy a timeshare. The Alladin has been sold to the Hard Rock Hotel and the service is still suppose to be excellent but I am interested in reading what others say once it does.Be careful purchasing tickets to shows online do your research before purchasing. I didn't know that Gladys Knight wasn't in Las Vegas anymore and got scammed.
