This hotel is easier to navigate then those giant resorts but still has plenty to do within. The shopping mall has many types of stores and resturants this part you can get lost in and not be sure how you return to where you came in at!

We had a 2 bedroom suite which is set up a little strange. You enter through double doors and have a door to the first bedroom which needs a key card and then another set of double doors which also needs-a key card.Keeping all these doors open requires some chairs in front of the doors not a plus.Decor is ok for my money the suites at the Mirage or Venitian are more tasteful and have better quality furniture. If you sat at the end of the bed the top of the bed lifted off the floor!

The bath tub between the living room and bedroom with a sliding door that allows you to watch the big screen in the living room-well this is ok except the sliding door doesn't quite close flush and that will let you see in the bathroom after your done in the tub!If you do decide to get in one of their "soaking tubs" be prepared to wait 5-7 minutes for hot water this is standard I called maintnence thinking something was wrong and they told me 5-7 minutes.

The room was a wet bar with a refrigerator and no mini-bar.

Check in and out was simple,.

I think with Planet Hollywood taking over this hotel is heading the way of the Palms and the Hard Rock.

We stayed October 20th for a few nights, and as far as the construction everyone is worried about, we never saw or heard a thing. The room was standard, and there was nothing wrong with it really. We sure could have used a bigger window in the room, but other than that, a decent room. The big bonuses.... the bathroom. I have never had a bath in a hotel in my life, and I had two while I was at the Aladdin. It was this huge deep bath, and ssooo nice. The bathroom itself was huge as well, easy for a few people to get ready in. Lots of mirrors in the room which was great too. Another thing that impressed us was the computer in the room. We just clicked on the screen, and got interenet access in our room for 24 hrs. It was great! Usually I have seen hook-ups, but this was a regular computer with accessibility. We didn't see too too much of the hotel itself, but if you're looking for a place to sleep that is comfortable and fairly quiet, this was a good place. The one negative thing was the color of the halls. Once the elevator opened on our floor I felt like it was going to be horrible. Luckily it wasn't. All around, a decent place.

We stayed at the Aladdin for a 40th B'day celebration. We have stayed here before and loved it, therefore, we picked this hotel to celebrate. Check in was quick, but one little problem. Opposite of most reviews, we booked a smoking room with a fountain view, but when we arrived there were only non smoking rooms available with partial views. A little disappointed to say the least, but it was a Saturday night and they had no other rooms available. They did apologize and promised to make it up to us, and that they did. The next day they upgraded us (free of charge) to a panorama suite with amazing views of the Bellagio fountains, mountains, etc. Floor to ceiling windows all around - definitely a panorama view. It was unbelievable and totally made up for the inconvenience the first night. I love the location of the hotel and I feel very comfortable there. Not to big, not to small, great shops and restaurants in the Desert Passage, great entertainment. You can basically spend your whole vacation in the hotel and still have a great time. I'm upset that they are changing it over to Planet Hollywood, I don't think it will feel the same once they make all the changes they are planning. I have great memories of out trips at the Aladdin and as it is now I would recommend it and give it an A+. If you go, see the FabFour show - it was fantastic, and we enjoyed it more then Elton Johns show (great music but not very entertaining). Vegas is a fantastic vacation, go and enjoy you won't be disappointed.

Stayed at the Aladdin just one night, oct 20th 05. wish it could have been longer, but was just doing the town one night and then stayed with family after. Let me tell you, the place is clean, I didnt smell anything funky or see mold, dirty floors, hair in the shower etc. like some other reviews have said. Granted I was only there one night, and maybe people who have spent longer noticed these things in thier rooms, but I did not. Bed was not that bad, just firm but not hard as a rock. there were plenty of extra pillows and towels. Bathroom was HUGE and very refreshing. I did not hear all but 3-4 seconds of noise from elevators or other guests all night. I have also read complaints of housekeeping walking in on you starting at 8 am and the customers getting angry. Well they DO have privacy signs, so just hang them out like any other hotel in the world so you wont be disturbed and get angry. I did this and had no problem. Perhaps people are losing thier shirts or are aggravated and are nit-picking things to death, I dont know. All I know is I picked the alladin for all the good reviews, and have absolutely no complaints. The room was fresh and clean, the view of the strip spectacular (just ask for a view!) room service was fast, friendly and absolutely delicious and perfectly hot when it arrived (25 minutes at 6 am) Casino and hotel elevators are easy to find and navigate. The Casino entrance is not HIDDEN or a secret as other writers have claimed. The entrance is right on the strip and clearly marked!! I laughed at what all the fuss was about with that one. The desert passage was the best. Good way to kill an hour or more in between gambling. I never did get to eat at the spice buffet and I'm sorry I missed it, since I heard its fablulous. And why people are complaining about high price of food in vegas? HEY IT'S VEGAS!! Youre there for a good time, why spoil it worrying about the price of food? And besides, I thought some of the prices of meals there compared to some steak and lobster places I have eaten at home. If youre worried about budget for food, Try the Dennys or McDonalds just a couple of minutes walk away. There was a female group singing popular newsongs in the casino and they were fabulous! Made me feel like the real singers were in town and doing the show for free! Cocktail waitresses were abundant, hotel and casino staff were very helpful and friendly and made me feel like queen for a day! Wish I could have stayed longer. Room rate was very decent for midweek. Convenient walking distance to lots of other casinos. I hope Planet Hollywood will keep up the good work!

We stayed at the Aladdin between 20th - 23rd October and would highly recommend a stay here. The room and bathroom are massive and very clean. There were only 2 towels in the bathroon but a quick call to housekeeping and we had some more delivered within a few minutes.

The only thing I would say is that we booked through a 3rd party and specified a non-smoking room. When we got to the Aladdin they said that because we booked through a 3rd party our requests could not be guaranteed and the only non smoking room they had were disabled. We did however pay the $30 per night charge to upgrade to a fountain view room and it was definatley worth it. The fountains are unbellievable and they change the formation every 1/2 hour so you never see the same thing twice.

We ate dinner and a brunch in the Spice Market buffet and the food here was excellent. There is so much choice and you could easily spend a few hours there.

The casino in the Aladdin is smaller than some of the other hotels but still good. There wasn't as many cocktail waitresses as I expected and it was hard to get a free drink due to the lack of them. We joined the club Aladdin and got $25 worth of free slot play which I would recommend.

Overall the hotel was great and was in a great location for access to the strip. The Desert Passage shops look amazing and great for original artwork pieces (if you like that sort of thing). There are also some mainstreem shops but the Fashion Mall and caesars palace shops are better for mainstreem fashion shopping.

We didn't see any construction work at all but a flyer in our room showed how Planet Hollywood plan to re-design the outside of the hotel which is quite extensive. We did ask a member of staff about Planet Hollywood and she said that apparently they have run out of money and thats why they haven't started the majority of work yet.
