I'll keep this short and simple.

We went to Las Vegas with a group of friends and family for a wedding at PH (I was the Maid of Honour and my husband was the Best Man). The wedding party & family stayed at PH Resort & Casino to make things easier. It was our first time to Las Vegas so I will try to be objective about the "bad" things as I am sure similar fault is found in any resort on the Las Vegas Strip. Also my last few vacations have been to the caribbean and south america so it was nice to go somewhere where i could drink the water for once! haha!

The Good:
-Beautiful hotel and casino
-Rooms were HUGE and quiet
-rooms all had movie themes - kinda cheesy but hey it's vegas! we thought it was cute. (ours was "die hard" themed - see my pics for details)
-The wedding reception was held in a "Panoramic" room and it was HUUUUGE (bigger than my condo at home) and the view was gorgeous
-The Miracle Mile was neat for shopping (loved the Bettie Page store!) and the bride and I had a great breakfast at some tiki-themed restaurant in the miracle mile (i cant remember what it was called but all the staff wore grass skirts) on the morning of the wedding. Service was friendly and fast and they had great mimosas!
- Bed in our room was super comfortable
- The heart bar in the middle of the casino was our meet-up place for the entire trip. The staff were really nice there and it was comfortable (expensive though!)
- The wedding turned out really nice and my brother and sister in law had a great day. the wedding cake was DELICIOUS too!
- The pools looked nice but we were so busy with wedding stuff we didn't really get to go swimming. We checked them out the day after the wedding but it was too hot to go in (both pools are in full sun).

The "Not Great"
- My main - and pretty much only - beef is a big one: Customer Service left A LOT to be desired. The people who checked us in and out were great, and the staff at various bars, restaurants were nice but if you ever have a problem with your room or something, forget it, they just don't care. I would also like to mention that they had the GALL to charge us $300 U.S. for 24 hour rental of a dvd player (for the wedding reception i had prepared a little video to be shown). REALLY?! I could BUY one and give it to the Goodwill shop afterwards for less than that! If I knew they were going to charge us that much I would have told them where to put their dvd player but it was rented and paid for by a family member without telling me the cost. Anyway, lesson learned and future wedding parties/good intentioned maids of honour, don't bother with dvd player rental at PH.
BUT WAIT it gets better! After renting their amazing $300 dvd player, it didnt work properly! You'd think for that price they would come and set it up and oh, i don't know, make sure it worked for the reception - but no. Luckily many of us at the wedding are in the media biz and were able to fix it ourselves because when I called reception to ask for help they cut me off, transferred me to the multimedia department where i was instructed to leave a message, and then I never got a call back.
- the wedding was very nice and turned out beautiful BUT there were issues in that the bride and groom were not allowed to bring the photographer they had hired into the ceremony. the hotel would only allow them to use their photographer - she was great and their pictures turned out lovely but they had spent all this money to hire their own photographer and were slightly upset by this. Luckily the one the bride and groom hired took us all out and got some great shots on and around the strip after the wedding so it wasn't a total waste.
- This hotel is very expensive. Look for deals on expedia or itravel or priceline if you are planning to stay here.
-$30 per person a day to go to the gym in the hotel? i dont think so. Although I hear this is pretty standard in Vegas so I won't fault them for that.

Other than that we had a great time in Vegas and our experience at PH was still a good stay. However next time I would stay at a different hotel. Many in our group stayed at New York New York or the Imperial, and while maybe they aren't as "fancy" as PH, they certainly didn't pay as much as we did for their stay so to me thats worth it. But hey, you should try a different hotel everytime anyway right?

I took my boyfriend to Vegas for his 30th birthday and it was his first time there. I was looking for a hotel with a good location, good atmosphere and decent price. I found all of these things with Planet Hollywood. However, there were some issues that would make me go elsewhere on my next visit.

First though, the good:
- as mentioned above, the location - it's close to the monorail if you want to head far north and perfectly situated for a decent walk south
- good atmosphere in the casino - it was definitely more of a party atmosphere than many of the other casinos with the music, lights and the Pleasure Pit
- sign up for the players club, we won $50 off the free $5 in slot play just for giving them an e-mail address. It's been a couple of weeks since coming back home and I haven't received any communications from them so I don't think it's going to be a problem.
- Miracle Mile Shops - a huge convenience to have shopping and dining so close to the room and just like everyone says, it's wonderful to have Earl of Sandwich and the ABC store nearby (thanks former forum users.) We also ate breakfast at the Cantina a couple of times.
- Rooms (good things) - comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms and enough lighting for me. I grumbled once about it being really dark and just to be sarcastic, my boyfriend went around the room turning on lights and tada! there was plenty enough light to be able to see whatever I wanted to see. I could've even read a book if I had wanted to.... (so just turn on the lights people.)

And now, the bad:
- Rooms - the walls are VERY thin. We were woken up our first night there by screaming girls in the room behind us saying they were V-I-P BABY!!! (My first drunken thought is then why are you in a Hollywood Hip room at Planet Hollywood...) Anyways, we were able to clearly hear every word of every conversation our "neighbors" had for 2 days.... which takes me to
- Service - when I called to ask if we could change rooms because of lack of ability to sleep (I know it's Vegas but I would like to get SOME sleep to recharge for future play), I was told that would be possible, but for an extra $120/night on top of what I already paid. And just a warning for those booking package deals with Travelocity or Expedia and not directly with PH, you may not be able to get a refund and go somewhere else either. I had purchased a non-refundable package so we were stuck in the room with the crazy girls behind our bed. It made for a miserable first half of the trip. (But hey, at least we could hear what they planned to do each day so we could avoid those spots.) Also, we were there for 4 nights and on 2 of them, we came back to random trash outside of our room. One day it was an opened jug of water from Walgreens sitting in a plastic bag in front of our door and the next it was two empty glasses. Other than that, our rooms were clean and the hallways seemed OK, just not sure who was putting trash directly in front of our door.
- Pool - If you don't get to the pool early, you will get a really crappy place to lay. There are two VERY small pools and chairs go quickly. After that, your only option is to lay by some fake grass between pots of plants and fake lamp posts that block the sun for like every 5th chair. Also, early in the day the hotel itself blocks the sun so you end up with a mostly shady pool area. It's by far the worst pool I've seen on the strip.

We got there at 5:00 p.m. to a long line but were able to check in quickly - no problems there.

Overall, I would say that after the noisy girls checked out our vacation improved but just beware that the walls are paper thin. Our next visit back we will stay somewhere nicer and just come back to PH to gamble.

Stayed here for 3 nights with my Dad. Other members of our group were staying in other hotels. Was Memorial Weekend so Vegas and the Hotel were busy. Checkin easy but found initial room to be substandard - a strange musty odour. A trip back to the reception secured us a nicer room on a higher floor.
They definitely need more lighting in the rooms - this is really my only compliant.
Great bathroom and bathtub, brilliant views and SUPER comfortable bed. Wireless internet was not free but was fast. Ordered room service one drunken evening and it was GREAT - better than most of the other food eaten in Vegas.
When we couldn't open the safe, security were with us within a matter of minutes.
The casino and public areas are a lot more geared to the younger set which is brilliant. None of the tired granny glamour you see at Paris, Caesars or Bellagio. The pool area was great too, with cheap drinks and a great DJ on weekend afternoons.
All in all, a wonderful Vegas experience - I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Just returned from Planet Hollywood hotel with 16 blokes on a stag doo. We arrived after quite a bit of drink on the plane and was checked in quite quickly. The rooms are nice enough. They are quite dark but your in Vegas so who cares about the rooms. The location of the hotel is very good. The casino is very lively as is the pool with a dj most of the time. Getting into the club can be hard work. They let in there mates and think they are Johnny hard with the way they talk to people. If you want to get in put up or go somewhere else. Earl of sandwich is ok for a change. Bottle of bud is $6. Tip......put a dollar in a slot drinks lady will come over order your drink tip here then your free to walk away with your drink. All in all I would stay there again but if you want a quiet hotel then dont stay here.

First advise...use the valet parking! from the free parking to the hotel it's a real long walk then you have to pass all The Miracle Mile shops.
A bit line for the check in but overall it was quite fast and the guy was very friendly and courteus.
The room was really large enought, two queen size beds, round table with an armchair, spacious working desk and a big lcd tv, hip decor. View was over the Strip.
Some movie stuff was in the room, pictures, a fake bomb,
a leather jacked used by Arnold Schwarzenegger.. funky touches
The big marble bathroom had two basin, separate shower and tub.
Thanks to the free coupons for The Spice Market buffet, I went there for breakfast and it was very good! excellent choice, live cooking stands, good service.
The hotel stands in the middle of the strip, perfect location.
Overall a very good experience at the PH!!
