Based on the reviews from Trip Advisor, I decided to book this hotel for one night prior to catching a return flight home. I really can not see why Four Seasons is rated number one in Vegas. After booking directly with the Four Seasons reservations, I called twice to ask them to email my confirmation and am still waiting for someone to send it. We arrived at the hotel which does have a beautiful entrance & foyer and were upsold another room for $150 more per night. It is Vegas, so decide to see what an extra $150 gets you. Disappointment followed as we arrived at the "suite". Old fashioned furniture, lumpy sofa bed, parking lot view, $5 per bottle of room temperature water. We knew this was a waste of money so called the front desk to let them know we were unhappy. I expected to be offered another room within the $600 per night range but they offered us our original $450 rate per night room, with a view. We decided to move to our original booked deluxe room. The room is small and adequate. Two double beds, desk, TV & small bathroom. Similar in size and amenities to any Hilton or Sheraton. Our view was of the same parking lot but from another angle, tiny strip view & a fantastic view of theHotel, where I wished I was staying by this time. We could have stayed at Mandalay Bay, in a newly renovated suite, at double the size for $100 less than the $450 rate we were paying. It was too late to check out as we would have been charged for one night. As another reviewer stated it is a regular Four Seasons Hotel with no W O W!!! factor in sight. Anyone with a little bit of research on Trip Advisor and visiting the hotel websites directly can get fantastic value for money in Vegas and be treated like royalty without the nonchalant attitude of the Four Seasons. Considering that it is 2008 and every hotel has internet, it is a personal pet peeve of mine to be charged to access it. Four Seasons charge $15.00 per day for slow, interrupted service. We had booked the bed & breakfast package which is a $59 credit towards your breakfast in the room or in the Veranda restaurant. We ordered breakfast in the room which arrived promptly. The food was well presented, hot & delicious. Upon checking out, the breakfast was not on the bill so I told them I would expect the charge to appear later on my credit card. The receptionist returned my credit card and I said Thanks and walked away. No printout was given to me. So I still do not know how much I paid for the night. Outside the hotel we asked for a cab to the airport & they kindly took us to the airport in their courtesy car. I found the bellmen, driver & room service staff to be helpful & courteous but would not book this Four Seasons again as I was expecting something to warrant the TripAdvisor number 1 rating and could not find it.
