I really wanted to land at the bottom of the Grand Canyon and this was the tour to do. I cannot recall precisely the name of the particular tour but it was a full helicopter tour from Vegas, over Hoover Dam, landing in the Canyon for breakfast before flying back in the helicopter over the strip.

The advantage of this was it was helicopter all the way (not 10 hours in a coach!), fab modern helicopter with knowledgeable pilot, landing on the base of the canyon (an absolute must!) and all in around 3.5hrs!

This is a great way to see the canyon without spending all day on a coach. After passing the Skywalk, i would say don't bother and instead to the full helicopter tour - making sure to land - not just fly over.

My husband, daughter, and I took the Canyon Dream tour. We researched various tours and safety ratings before booking this one. It fit the bill perfectly. My husband needed assistance getting on the plane and into the helicopter. They couldn't have been more helpful and courteous. Such an unforgettable, beautiful day in our lives. Thank you, Maverick.

My husband surprised me with a trip to Las Vegas which included a helicopter tour to the Grand canyon. It was well worth the cost. Around $400 - $450 per person. It was the best thing on our trip. They fly 45 minutes to the grand canyon, land in the bottom - which the only other way that you are going to get down there is by horse back or by hiking yourself. You get to see Hoover Dam, fly you over the lake, down the strip on the way back. The whole trip is around 3 hours there and back. We talked to someone who took a bus tour - it was $100 - $150 each, and they said it was a 14 hour day. When you are limited for time in Vegas - this was the best way to go. Highlight of our trip! Worth the cost! I would pay it again.

We booked the Canyon Dream Tour with Maverick Helecopters. Myself, husband and boys ages 15 and 11. We all loved it! We were picked up on time at our hotel and driven to the airport. We took a small private plane to GC Airport, pilot was amazing! We then boarded a helicpoter for our flight over and into the canyon. Again pilot was amazing. From there we took a bus to the Bright Angel Lodge and had time to explore on our own. Next was a picnic lunch on the rim, turkey on croissant with chips, water and cookies. We went on to another viewing point and were allowed to explore on our own. Finally back to airport boarded small plane and flew back to Vegas. We encountered some EXTREME TURBULANCE. Pilot was professional, cool and confidant. He got us back safely. We loved this tour. Even my boys ages 11 and 15 were impressed. The pilot let us visit the cockpit it was very cool. I absolutely reccommend this company. Very professional and a day to remember!
