“My New Favorite Vegas Hotel”

Palazzo Hotel & Casino

I returned on 6/14/2008 from a 5 night stay. I was very pleased with every aspect of the hotel-casino. Our room was great; they are the same layout as the Venetian, but updated decor. I have stayed at the Venetian and myself, my husband and our friends all felt the Venetian treated you as if it was you honor to stay there rather than it being their honor to have you. The customer service at the Palazzo was completly the opposite. I am not sure why the 2 hotels are so different, even though they are basically 1 hotel, but the Palazzo's customer service was great. The casino was laid out great, and it was happening day or night. The table limits were not too bad. I have stayed at many Vegas hotels and this is my new favorite overall experience!

We stayed at the Palazzo for 3 nights (5/23-5/26). This was our second time staying at this Resort/Casino and it will not be the last time. This resort is actually owned by the same company that owns the Venetian.

All the room are HUGE suites with a sunk in living room area. The bathroom is marvelous - shower is separate from the tub and the toilet has a separate door for extra privacy. There's a vanity (with a full size magnified and lighted mirror) for us ladies who love the idea of having a separate area for our hair and make-up stuff. There's 3 tv's (including one in the bathroom) and a dvd player so that you can just bring your own movies instead of paying too much for the pay per view stuff that they offer.

The beds are so comfortable and they offer free turn down service with free chocolates. Housekeeping generally responds to your request on time (although they were running slow during our last stay because it was during memorial day weekend and the hotel was fully booked).

Eventhough it was a little bit cold during our stay (which is so unheard of for this time of year in Vegas), we were able to use their pool. It was nicely heated to about 83% and eventhough it wasn't really crowded they still have enough cocktail waitress walking around to make sure that we stay well hydrated :P

One thing that we like about this property is that their parking garage is so convenient. You don't have to leave the premises to actually have access to your vehicle. We didn't have to utilize their valet service for this reason.

“We loved our stay at the Palazzo”

My wife and I just returned from celebrating our 31st anniversary at the Palazzo. We enjoyed the contemp Italian designed hotel and the excellent service we experienced throughtout our stay. Hated to leave the exquisite decor and pristine attention to cleanliness and beauty.

Check In: Went smoothly . The bellman was courteous, friendly and full of information. Our requests were met immediaely, with an eagerness to serve.

Room: We usually have stayed at the Venetian, because we loved the size of their suite. We were extra pleased with the suite at the Palazzo. We were on the 43rd floor and had a wonderful view of the mountains and hotels. (Loved the remote to close the drapes in the room.)

Service: The service was excellant in all areas. We had asked for a refigerator for our medicine. The housekeeping kept us supplied with plenty of towels, slippers and (delicious) chocolates. When we first left the room, the house keeper noticed that we did not close the door properly and kindly showed us how.

Pool: We loved the number of pools available, rather than one or two large pools. Many of the pools have a cool feature of the chairs being partially submerged in the water.

Shopping BONUS: Having the Palazzo connected with the Venetian shops made it a shopper's paradise. A sense of fresh air permeates the indoor shopping experience there.

Casino: We appreciated the fact that the casino is more intimate than other hotels. The Palazzo has a smoke filtering system making the air far less smokey than other casinos.

Overall: We loved the hotel ambiance. It is a classy "boutique" type hotel-- It was romantic, pampering, quiet and clean. We can hardly wait to get back to the Palazzo in Las Vegas.
One Negative: The decoration was not complete. They had hooks on the wall, but no art work.

I've been staying at the Venetian for the past few years, and decided to give the new Palazzo a try, since the last time I stayed at the Venetian, found it somewhat worn. Well, the luster of the Palazzo is just that - luster - for when you scratch the surface, I found a hotel that is far from a 5 star property. Problems with check-in, (granted, it was 3 hrs before "real" check in time, but hard to believe that I had to return to the front desk to find out when it was finally ready - the promised phone call never came), and for a new property (less than 7 months old) the room was worn already (broken handle on nightstand, stains on sofa, scratches on furniture), and don't get me started w/ phone calls to various departments that were NEVER returned. I'm also finding that their Comps are the poorest of any casino on the strip, with the exception of their high-class neighbor, the Wynn. All I know is that in the future, I'm probably going to look at other properties that associates have told me where they have had better treatment and a warmer reception. So ciao, Palazzo/Venetian...all that glitters isn't gold.

“Some teething problems in this new hotel”

Palazzo Hotel & Casino

We recently celebrated my wife's 50th birthday at this new hotel with our kids aged 12 and 15 years.

This is the newest addition to the Venetian and is linked to it by a shopping mall.

The rooms are large and include a living room area. Beautifully decorated and equipped with every convenience including 2 large flat screen TV's and a Fax/Scanner/printer. Bathroom is large.
Accommodations are certainly luxurious.

There is a convenience store located close to the room elevators which is very handy. No need to walk forever to buy a bottle of water, coffee etc.

The Grand Lux Cafe is located in the hotel and has a Take -out section which is very convenient for snack lunch or breakfast.

The pool is expansive and welcoming in the heat typical of this city.

So what's the downside??

Our room was not madeup until 7pm each day despite several phone calls to complain.
There is no shade at the pool. Apparently their umbrellas have not yet arrived. You can rent a cabana but that will cost you $400 per day !

All in all though I would return because the overall experience was positive. At $499 per night though, I expect some shade at the pool and to have my room made up sooner than 7 pm.
