We arrived at 11:30am and they had our standard suite ($199 per night) available although there was no great view the suite was beautiful w/ mini bar which is really nice but pricey little soda $5, beer $7 etc., the bathroom is huge! We had a non-smoking room and that's just what it was the hallway still had the new carpet smell. We're casual smokers but perfer a non-smoking room and we did not smoke in our room.
The hotel is in line with the Bellagio and Wynn, very upscale. I rated 5 stars because I don't believe it's like the 4 star hotels in vegas.
I can see how some people would complain about somethings for instance...When we arrived our safe wasn't working, but I have to say I called the front desk and within 20 minutes someone was knocking on our door. One of the drawers on the furniture was missing a knob, a couple of light bulbs were burnt out. The tv in the bathroom really is in a bad spot if you like to take a bath you can't see the tv. when someone is showering in the suite directly above you hear it, which was odd because the water pressure was extremely weak, (we didn't hear any other noise from neighbors). These little problems didn't bother us at all.
What I didn't like was that there's no coffee maker in the room which is absolutley ridiculous and the coffee shop is really small.
Housekeeping was excellent I suggest leaving housekeeping $5 a day we had so many towels, toiletries, clean robes and slippers and the room was spotless.
There's two workout rooms you can use one at Palazzo and one at the Venetian, probably the best gym in any hotel I've been at. If you just want to use the gym it's $20 a day. The gym offer free bottled water after our workout my wife and I took two each and brought them to our room, we're big water drinkers.
Restaurants: We ordered room service twice each time they said it would be about an hour and it came in an hour, food was excellent, as was the service.
We ate at the grand lux cafe one time, hated the food, it's an upscale diner, service was excellent.
I forget the name of the restaurant poolside but it's the only one it was excellent, as was the poolside restaurant at the Venetian both are Wolfgang Puck restaurants, excellent service.
Pools: lots of them, very nice a wide variety of music playing throughout. All but one pool doesn't get sun until after 12:00pm at the Palazzo guest have access to the Venetian pools as well. Drinks by the pool range from $8 to $12, pool side service little slow.
We didn't shop but they all looked open all construction seems to be complete.
Casino is a liitle bit on the smaller side but very nice. Service on the floor and at the casino bars was a liitle slow.
Guest seemed to be in their early 30's to late 60's mostly everyone was well dressed and very respectful.
The thing I like most about the Palazzo is there really isn't any main attractions that brings unwanted crowds except of coarse for the highend shops. If your 22 and looking to party hard you probably like the Palms better than the Palazzo.
Jersey boys is an absolute must the show was spectacular!
We loved our vacation in general the Palazzo was a great experience the only real thing I hated, was leaving!!
Off the property:
SW Steakhouse (at the Wynn) was the best dining experience we had in Las Vegas. If interested make your reservation 1 month in advance and request patio seating (weather permitting) by the lake of dreams. You will not be sorry.
