Service was mediocre in many areas, but the biggest issue we had was trying to get clean towels. We were going out at 7 pm with my husband's business colleagues, and I wanted to shower first. Our room hadn't been serviced as of 5:00, so I called the concierge to get the extension for housekeeping. (There isn't a direct connection to housekeeping from the room phones, which perhaps tells you all you need to know.) The concierge volunteered to call housekeeping on our behalf, so I happily let him do it. Half an hour later, no towels had arrived, so I called back. The first thing that happened was that I got chewed out by housekeeping for not calling them directly! They then promised to send the towels right away. I asked them what "right away" meant and they said "half an hour"!. By 6:00 I still didn't have any towels and I called for a third time. I spoke to the supervisor who told me they were very busy, but promised to get me towels right away. I finally got a clean towel at 6:20, delivered sullenly with no apology.

The rooms are what I'd call "bland glitzy" -- you could be in any hotel room in any city in the world. They're certainly comfortable, but nothing special. Even forgetting the service issues, I have stayed in far nicer hotel rooms for less money.

My wife and I stayed at Palazzo April 10-13, 2008. We really liked this place. The pool just opened during our stay and there is a walkway over to the Venetian's pools. The only thing disappointing was the Race/Sports Book but you can just walk over to the Venetian for that so not a big deal. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

The hotel is clean and they maintain a smoke free corridor in the casino- very nice for a non smoker- the whole place smells great- - we opted for the concierge -level upgrade, it was very nice with morning cont. breakfast, afternoon high tea, and evening open bar and food presentation. All done very well, staff very nice/helpful, free computer access. the room was nice/spacious for a standard room , it had a very comfortable bed and two huge lcd tvs with dvd player in living room. My only complaint was housekeeping was hit or miss 2 out of 4 nights

Were a bit leery of Vegas, thinking it might not be our scene. However, though still not huge gambling fans, we ultimately enjoyed our trip to LV... liked the entertainment and dining options and LOVED the Palazzo.

Classy, clean, modern (3 Flat-screen TVs in our suite!), spacious, high tech... you name it, the Palazzo has it. We could have spent the entire stay in our room and had a good time - though that would have been silly in Vegas.

Not going to get into the rest of the facility much except to note that it also seemed to have everything one could want (top-notch shopping, good restaurants, shows, the casino, etc.).

Viewed a friend's room at the Venetian and would highly recommend going with the Palazzo instead, as the P seems to be an updated and improved version of its older sibling V.

The hotel is visually stunning. The rooms are spacious and luxuriously equipped and it all just feels nice, new and clean. This was my first visit and I left underwhelmed - we visit Vegas regularly and for future trips the hotel will be priorirtized third behind Bellagio and Wynn.
The rooms boast a strip view - don't be fooled by this. We had a room high up at at the front of the building and the Strip View is limited to Treasure Island and Trump Tower. Plus, what is all that junk that they store on top of the buildings below??? - it's out of view from the people at street level but an eyesore to the folks staying in the hotel.
The clock in the room was many hours wrong and there's no easy way to change it. It took four calls for somebody to come and fix it - they corrected the time but set it so the alarm came on at 3.30am. Aaaarrrgghhh.
The remote control for the drapes didn't work consistently.
There was no mini-bar. Although, to be honest, I don't care about that.
No pens or pencils.
No turndown service.
The plumbing in the toilet means that the water runs all the time.
One of the dealers attributed the poor quality of the housekeeping to the nationality of the workers - it was all very racist. I think that the problem is with the management team and not where the workers come from.
We had lunch at Morels. We ate at the bar where it looked like the barman really wasn't interetsed in being there. The food was simply dreadful - the food at the airport is better, no kidding! Oh, and why do prospective job applicants have to fill their forms in right in the middle of the bar? He was sitting outside Harrah's later draining a can of beer...I wonder if he got the job?
Free advice is worth what you pay for it! My advice is either take the risk and try it for your yourselves or try the Bellagio and Wynn first; my experinece is that they are both way better right now.
