I hadn't looked into seeing the Producers while i was in Las Vegas, so I never read much about it here. If I had however, I probally wouldn't have went.
I got half price tickets from one of the booths on the day of the show. It was a pretty small theatre, and we were a few rows from the front of the stage, which was nice. I thought that Tony Danza and the other cast memebers did a great job in this play. However, I've never seen any other version of this show, so it could have been cut, or anything else, and I never would have noticed.
What i've found out, is that if you've never seen the Producers beofre, then you'll enjoy it. However, if you have seen another production of it somewhere else, or the movie, then you won't.
I probally wouldn't see it again, but I would reccomend it if you can have some free time and you can get cheap seats.

AVOID! Over-priced and hurried. Tony Danza was not good, and the show's been cut to pieces for the Vegas audience. A major disappointment.

My group of seven went to see Tony Danza in The Producers on Friday, Oct. 19 2007. We were thrilled to get great seats and enjoyed the show very much. Visibly posted in the lobby were "NO CAMERA" signs which most of the audience obeyed. During the curtain call a poorly behaved patron took a picture. While the cast was enjoying their applause and taking their bows Tony Danza saw the person with the camera, made a sneering face, gestured to the camera and turned on his heel and walked off the stage during the curtain call! We were shocked as well as the patrons around us. Several of the cast looked surprised but quickly filled in the gap where he was. The fellow cast members acted professionally even though it was a snub to them and the audience by Mr. Danza. What a shame his behavior put a damper on the show. ALL of the audience paid for their seats to see this show and it wasn't the fault of the vast majority that this one person used a camera. Just a thought here, isn't it the fans that make celebrities famous?

I cannot fathom why Mel Brooks allowed his show to be decimated like this. I love the Producers. However, this is a disaster. Cutting this show created a mess. What was a wonderful, funny story about Bialystock and Bloom (and the actors in those roles are fine), as is Ulla) is now a vehicle for David Hasselhoff who cannot sing or dance, and in my opinion, is not comfortable playing the role of a gay director. My teenage daughter and I were so looking forward to this show, and we both came away very, very disappointed. Mel- what happened?

This show was way overpriced, not that funny either. The actors have great talent but the show is a waste! The downtown shows are better and a lot cheaper.
