We are in the second day of our trip and it has been made exponetially better by the concierge service in building 5. Nicole Percy and Robert Craig. They went out of their way to advise and book plans for our night out. The service in the main building was completely under-par. The ladies in the main building were slightly snotty and condescending, however the bell hop was very nice. If you are looking for direction and service, go talk to Nicole and Robert!

We were there for several days at the very end of May, 09, and really enjoyed out stay. The BBQ court is great when you prefer your own instead of the buffets. The staff are very nice, and the resort is simply first class. The resort does not have the same crowds that the striphotels have, so our stay was much more relaxed and casual. The new lazy river was and extreme hit with the Mrs. We had visitors, and they were treated as guests. We had our own car, and parking is a bother. The resort has easy access to the strip and Fremont Street, if you know your way around. There is a regular shuttle servise to the strip if you don't have your own transportation. This is a extremely good resort unless you must have the bustle, glitz, and drunkeness of the megaresorts on the strip. If you are looking for a more layed back holiday in Vegas, this is the place to be. We will be back regularly.

Loved the place!
Here is the pros
* Very Clean
* Very Spacious
* Comfortable beds and sleeper sofas
* Great Steam Shower and Jetted Tub
* Loved the washer/dryer - very convenient
* LOVED THE LAZY RIVER - How relaxing to raft around with a drink in hand. VERY COOL.
* The staff was always very nice and accomodating -always greeted us as we walked past or opened doors, etc.
All around great place to stay. With the craziness of downtown, it was nice to be very close, but then at a relaxing place. The BBQ's were a great touch, we just didn't get a chance to use them, but it was nice to see alot of people were using them.

It also encouraged me to see Vegas busy again, the last time I was downtown it was dead - not this past weekend. It was really great to see people getting out again with friends and family in these times.

We are owners at Tahiti Village and we were shocked at the limited internet availability. We were at first put in the newest phase and there was no internet available at all! They then transferred us to phase 1 and we had to go through a TV connection cable and even then we couldn't email out. I can't believe a resort of this caliber would be such an internet dinosaur. The rooms and amenities are beautiful, but if you need internet, do not stay here. We had to go down to the "business" area to log on the the Denny's restaurant WiFi which was next door!!!! The first time, this area was so filled up with people waiting for resort sales tours,k that we had to search for a tiny place to sit down! This resort may be new, but it needs to join the twenty-first century!!

We stayted for a long weekend in mid-May 2009, and found the place to be just fantastic. We had our 9-year-old with us, and the pools were on par the best we've ever had... anywhere... and we've stayed at some really nice places over the years.

If you go, know that this is more of a 'condo' experience rather than a 'full service hotel experience'. For the price, we are more than happy to sleep in the same bed linens for a week and hang up our own towels. The kitchen in the larger Bora Bora rooms is just like home, and it's equipped with everything you need to cook for a small group. The free BBQ pit area just outside the building was a nice touch.

Don't plan on walking to the Strip, but if you've been to Vegas, you'll know that can be a bit of a walk once you are there anyway. The shuttle service is frequent and different shuttles land you at any of 6 stops... every 15-30 minutes! Last run just before 2am, I think. Again... free. Plan ahead - no worries.

Activities? Ask for Mike at the Concierge desk. He was just great! He advised us to spend $2 per person for the Red Rock Canyon tour, and he was right... the best $2 we spent in Vegas! The wildflowers were in bloom, and it was about 10 degrees cooler than in town.

As for the reports of stalker sales-people, they will only work you if you want something - if you bite on a promotion (low rate or free tickets), expect to spend up to 2 hours with them. This is what they deserve for giving you any deal you might want. We asked for nothing and weren't pestered even once.

We'll definitely be back.
