The biggest drawback to this restaurant is getting there. It's in the Forum Shops in the new wing/section on the second level, which requires a 15-20 minute walk from Caesar's parking garage, unless you can find the Forum Shops valet area.
Otherwise, this is a spectatular, if not solid, steakhouse offering on The Strip.
The atmosphere is very trendy. Because of the communal table settings, this restaurant might be ideal for a small group of friends or business colleagues.
Quick summary of the meal:
Lump Crab Cake - On par with other high-end restaurant crab cake offerings
Petit Filet Mignon - Very good but there's a reason they put Rub & Crusts and Sauces on the menu--It reallys adds more flavor to the meat experience. Try the peppercorn rub and ask for a sample of 3 sauces to try. I never thought it was acceptable to ask for steak sauce at a high-end steakhouse but this place embraces the idea.
Baked Potato with sour cream and butter - good size potato, nothing short changed here
Bread - Warm and soft, sort of melts in your mouth, making you want to ask for more
Service was solid and friendly. There's also a section of the restaurant that has a nice view of The Strip.
All in all, BOA Steakhouse is worth the walk through the Forum Shops if you're shopping and need to cap the day off with a great steak dinner or you're looking to try something new.
