I generally travel to Vegas about 5 times a year and I've written reviews on this site for at least 8 hotels and I was immediatley impressed by the Signature. We stayed in a jr. suite and I was amazed at all the amenities, too many to name. Certainly the most complete hotel room I've ever stayed in, and I got a great deal off of Orbitz so consider that when booking. Valet and check-in were a breeze as well.
For a large hi-rise, the floors are relatively small so no room is too far from the elevators. And regarding those who complained about the walk to the MGM, it is literally a 2 minute walk from the signature lobby to the MGM. It is closer to the MGM pool, spa, restaurant row, and monorail station than most of the rooms at the MGM itself. Yes the casino is a bit further of a walk, but if you want a hotel where the elevators open right to the casino you probably wouldn't be staying here anyways.
There are a couple reasons why I didn't give it 5-stars. First, the water pressure in the shower was unacceptable. It might have been just my room but for a new building the pressure was about 25% of what it should have been. Also, like many properties, the Signature has a $15 per day resort fee. They tell you at check in you get free in-room internet service but what they don't tell you is that you have to bring your own computer! To use the in-room keyboard it's an additional $11 per day. Lastly, our rooms were made up quite early in the day which is nice, however, afterwards on 3 seperate occasions while we were in the room someone from housekeeping walked in to find out if the room had been cleaned. Two didn't even knock and the third person did the simultaneous knock and enter. I had to keep the room deadbolted at all times just to keep people from entering.
At the end of the day, this is certainly one of the nicest places to stay in Vegas in terms of the quality of the rooms - definitely 5-star. The entire experience however, was something a little less. However, I highly recommend this property and I would stay here again.
