Like the other reviews, we think the hotel is amazing. There isn't much more to say that hasn't already been said about the first class rooms and service. Here is my only, personal comment and reason I might stay somewhere else. ( don't know where that would be ) It' s just plain, too sterile for my liking. There, I said it.

If you are looking for a peaceful, elegant, sublime place to stay in Las Vegas then The Signature is your ONLY choice. The hotel is (THANKFULLY) non-smoking and non-gaming. It is tastefully decorated and the staff is wonderful.

I am a Customer Service Trainer by profession. My clients include many top name companies and my job requires a great deal of travel so I’ve stayed in my share of hotels and met many, many hotel employees. Because of my profession, I payed close attention to the staff. While I found every employee that I encountered to be pleasant and professional there were a few Super-Star stand-outs: Milagro, the lobby attendant. I saw her on several different days. She was always warm, smiling and friendly. She took great pride in her work and she was the only person I regularly saw cleaning the lobby – which was spotless. On several occasions, I saw guests ask her questions and she went out of her way to answer them or to direct them to someone who could answer them. Renee at the concierge desk who went above and beyond for every request I made - from dinner suggestions on and off the strip, to shipping packages, to finding me things to do. She was professional, warm, sincere and very knowledgeable. Rishi, also a concierge (and whom several reviewers have already mentioned) – this guy manages to excel in his job and be amazingly funny/entertaining and sincere. Clearly, he should have his own show somewhere on the strip. His combination of genuine caring, warm demeanor and humor are extremely rare. I watched him interact with several guests. He always took a genuine interest in the guest and went above and beyond every time. The concierges at this property are extremely busy and even though I sometimes had to wait to speak with one, I was always treated with kindness, humor and professionalism. Andre and Shawn at the front door were always smiling, even when it was very busy, these guys were handling all of the guests quickly, professionally yet with a personal touch. JT at the front desk who was (again) warm, professional, knowledgeable and genuine. - As a trainer, I can tell you how difficult it is to find employees like this. Each one of these individuals cared about the guest and also took pride in his/her work AND managed to have fun. The Signature clearly knows something about finding quality employees – Question is will they be able to keep them? In Las Vegas, a city known for its slash-and-burn mentality towards workers, the Signature has quite a few gem employees in their stable. If you have any doubt, look around at most of the strip properties, most hotel employees don’t seem to really care about their jobs. I hope the Signature will be different and treat their employees with the same kindness/respect those employees show their guests. Without employees like that, the Signature won’t survive.

From my room I could see the pool for Tower 2 (opening in Nov) and it is significantly bigger than the pool for Tower1. The pool for Tower 1 is intimate, which is good but children and loud, drunk folk won’t find it appealing – which is fine by me. The Signature is great for professionals, couples seeking a romantic getaway and other people seeking an upscale, elegant environment. During my stay, there were several guests who came in with their 12-packs of Coors Light and clothing in paper bags (I kid you not). Even then, I never saw the staff falter. Those guests were treated with the same respect and courtesy as the guests who came in with designer luggage. Though I was impressed by the staff and the property I was not impressed by some of the guests who were loud, rude and otherwise obnoxious. I watched several of the employees interact with these over-demanding, under-tipping, demanding-everything-for-free guests and again I was impressed by the class and professionalism demonstrated by the staff (way to go Rishi !). I hope The Signature raises it rates to keep the riff-raff out and to keep this property beautiful and enjoyable for those travelers who can appreciate it. The Signature is that rare property that manages to make you feel like a treasured guest with personalized service and beautiful amenities. Several reviewers have complained about the lack of comps but this property is clearly NON-GAMING so to expect to be comped is unreasonable. Also because it is a joint venture with Turnberry, I can see why The Signature doesn’t honor comps. To which I again say – Great! Not everyone goes to Las Vegas to gamble and party. Believe it or not, some people actually come to Las Vegas to enjoy the world class cuisine, the amazing spas and the top-notch shows. If you want gambling, smoking and partying then go stay somewhere else – There are literally THOUSANDS of hotel rooms on the strip that cater to that!
The Signature is a breath of fresh air with its beautiful property and amazing staff. I, for one, hope it stays that way

We stayed at this hotel from October 16th-20th. From the moment we arrived, i was very pleased. The cab ride from the airport takes about 5 mins late at night and was around $11 before the tip. When you arrive, there is someone there to open the door for you. Once you get in the lobby, the smell of fresh roses is amazing! The lobby is absolutely beautiful! When we were assigned a room on the 3rd floor, we asked for a higher room with a balcony. The front desk was happy to accomidate us, and put us on the 17th floor with a strip-style view. Here are a few of my favorite things:

1. The bed. This has to be the most comfortable bed i have ever slept on. It feels like a big pillow.

2. Extra pillows in the closet, as well as a safe, and a pair of robes.

3. The Junior suite is described as having a 1-person jacuzzi. Im a big guy, and me and my wife fit in it easily. The shower is also nice. It is around 4-feet square and all glass.

My complaints are few, most are just minor annoyances. It is advertised as a non-smoking hotel, but its not. While there are no smoking in the rooms, there is smoking in the lobby and hallways. At least there was when we were there. After reading some of the other reviews about the long walk to the MGM Grand, we decided to time it ourselves. Walking at a decent pace, and walking on the moving walkways, it took a little over 2 1/2 minutes. This is very acceptable. Get ready to get slapped in the face by cigarrette smoke when you get near the MGM Casino.

We didn't use the workout room or pool. We did get charged the $15 a day resort charge. This is stupid if you ask me. They need to put that in the room fee and nobody would care. This charge was supposed to include wireless internet, 2 bottles of water a day, and access to the fitness area. When we got to the room, there was only 1 bottle of water in the fridge. We had to ask for water the 2nd day. We didn't get water the rest of our stay. I complained when we checked out and they refunded 2 days of the resort fee, which was nice.

NOW, here are some suggestions for your stay...

Ask for a higher room. There is a pretty good view of the Paris tower and some of the strip. The higher the better. The elevators are extremely fast. You'll feel it in your stomach. The restuarants in the MGM are fantastic. Make sure you go to Diego's if you like Mexican food, and Emeril's is awesome as well. If you go to Emeril's for lunch, MAKE SURE to ask for Leo. He works at Emeril's during the day and at Diego's at night. He is the best waiter i have ever had. He is a very friendly mexican man that takes very good care of you. Tell him the couple from Arkansas sent you, he'll probably remember us because he was our waiter 3 times. Make sure you leave him a good tip; it pays off. Our last visit, he gave us both a free drink, saving us about $20. Make sure you visit thte Lion Habitat more than once. Most of the time, the lions are asleep, but if they are up and walking around, it is really neat.

There is a deli counter right past the sports betting area. The food is alight, but the service was kinda rude. Save your money and eat somewhere else.

Another thing we learned on our first trip to Vegas last week. There are some real hard time-share sellers. If they ask you if you are married, tell them no. If they ask when your leaving, tell them 'tonight'. This will usually deter them. The worst by far was in the New York New York. We were hit-up at least 10 times just walking through. They will try to give you coupons....They are worthless, just tell them no, because if you take them, they try to lure you in.

Make good use of the Mono-rail. If you are going to be there for at least 4 days, get the unlimited pass. We didnt, and we could have saved at least $20.

Another thing to make good use of at the Signature is the Concierge. They will make your reservations for you, and Hey- Its Free! They have the 2nd hotel done on the outside and are about 1/2 done on the outside fo the 3rd tower. We did hear some noise from work vehicles, and it started early, but it wasn't that big of a deal.

There is a lot to do for free in Vegas, so take advantage. The Stratosphere is a must see at night. Tickets are $10 each, and the wait was around 10 minutes, but the night view was spectacular. Dont try to see everything in 4 days like we did. It is impossible, and you will kill yourself trying to do it. Thank god we had a jacuzzi.

One more thing...the toilettries (sp?) were fantastic. It is all June Jacobs stuff. The grapefruit body wash smells great, and all the lotions and soaps are wonderful. Some were griping about the gift shop. It was open almost everytime we went by. They aren't open late at night, but they are open all day. If you want a good buffet, take the monorail to the Flamingo. They have a huge buffet for $14. It is all good stuff too. Once you are done, walk out the dining room doors to the little park area. Its really pretty.

There is so much to write about, but i think this will give those who are looking for a hotel, or looking forward to their stay at the Signature a little heads up. Go ahead and get excited. That hotel is worth every penny.

My first instinct would be to tell you that it is the worst hotel in town as I want to be available next time I am in Vegas.
It is the best kept secret in Vegas besides the one of how to win the casino......
The Signature was a complete surprise. It is very different than any other hotel in Vegas. From the first minute you get in it is all about personal attention; unlike the other hotels, such as the MGM Grand, Paris and so on, It does not have all the slot machine or any other gambling option. It is a Smoke free hotel which was a big plus for us as if you are not a smoker it is hard to get used to all the smoke in the other hotel....
We had the Junior Suite with the balcony which was way more than we accepted for the price. The room has a plasma TV, DVD, Jacuzzi, glass shower, and an extra small TV in the bathroom. Also it has a small kitchen plus all the things you’ll need to [co*k] a nice breakfast the only problem is that you do not have place to buy food……

There were few things which were not perfect, but hey nothing is:
1. As some of the other reviews I read, there are some wind noises which are noticeable.
2. Make sure you'll get EVERY night two bottles of water in your room,we stayed 5 night and 2 nights the cleaning lady forgot (it is not a big thing but since a bottle of water costs $3.5 why not)
3. It takes 5-7 min to walk to the casino at MGM a bit of a long walk but it is not a big deal.

I can go on and on about the whole trip but bottom line is GO FOR IT. Unless you are a gambling junkie the Signature is a great choice.

Enjoy

My fiance and I came to the US for three weeks in September, and staying at the Signature was well and truly the highlight of our trip.

From the moment we walked through the door the staff were exceptional, we were taken on a quick tour of the ameneties of the hotel before being taken up to our junior suite. The lobby is full of fresh flowers and has a very serene, comfortable feel which is a nice change from the craziness of the rest of the town. As we were recently engaged, the manager of the hotel sent up a complimentary cheese platter to congratulate us.

Our room was spectacular, we had a junior suite and while we didn't use the kitchen amenities, it was very spacious and we had a great view over the Strip. The bathroom is sensational, it had a big Jacuzzi, a big glass shower and a double vanity which is rare to come by in a hotel. The bed was super comfortable, it made getting up difficult some mornings!

The walk over to the MGM is quite reasonable, there are moving walkways and it was quite nice to have a sanctuary away from all the gaming. We didn't use the pool but it looked lovely and I was also very impressed by the gym. We opted to buy drinks from the ABC shop over at the Aladdin rather than buy them from the gift shop so that we didn't pay over the top prices.

We never had a problem getting taxis, it was usually a pleasant 5-10min wait, and the valets were very attentive and were constantly on hand with bottles of water while we were waiting.

I am a very frequent traveller and have a high standard of excellence with hotels, and I can confidently say that this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

  • Liked — sensational room for a really good price
  • Disliked — $15 resort fee which was a bit of a rip off for a newspaper and 2 bottles of water
