Our stay - three nights in November (just before Thanksgiving holidays) - at The Signature was excellent. Despite all the raving reviews about the hotel, I had my doubts that it would live up to the expectations. It turned out that all the praise is very well deserved.

What stood out for us:
1. Excellent staff - Everyone - from the valet to receptionists to bell boys to the housekeeping maids - was courteous and helpful.
2. Ease of check-in - In all, it took about 5 minutes to check in. We requested for a high floor, and got our room on the 37th floor.
3. Beautiful property - The reception area, rooms, elevators, walkways... everything is decorated tastefully and kept in immaculate conditions.
4. Great room (and bathroom) - The room (a junior suite) was beautiful. The bathroom was amazing.
5. Great place to get back after hours of madness on the strip - Every night, after walking through hotel garages to the car or waiting in front of hotels for a valet to bring the car, all it took was driving in to The Signature to an ever smiling valet (who would offer you water while you wait for your car...the wait, by the way, is not long at all) and then taking a calm elevator to a cleaned and well laid out room. To use the cliche, this place is an oasis.

As to the complaint people have about the walk - We didn't think it was much of a walk at all. If you are going to go to the hotels on the strip (and not drive everywhere, obviously), you should prepare yourself for a bit of a walk anyhow. Not staying at Signature will not make such a difference.

We would absolutely love to stay at The Signature again, particularly so if we can find a deal like we did on Orbitz..

The Signature is a condo hotel, and after I stayed last year, I found out about VBRO. I've visited Las Vegas several times and this is the first occasion that I've stayed in the same hotel, so you can guess that I was suitably impressed.

I found a one bedroom suite on VBRO on the 38th floor (Upper Penthouse) for 20% less than I paid last time, and since the recession bit, it may be even cheaper now and no $15 a day surcharge.

None of the hotels in Vegas have a coffee machine (not the ones I've been to; Wynn, Venetian, Bellagio and Mandalay Bay) but with the kitchens in the rooms, you can have coffee any time, especially at breakfast time.

Walk from the main MGM to Tower 2 is 6 minutes (I timed it) but the lack of noise and smoke more than made up for it.

If I return to Vegas, it will be the Signature again, for me.

Highly recommend the Signature Suites at the MGM Grande. It is an oasis of tranquility and luxury, just off the strip. Short walk from the main MGM to the suite - no idea what other people complained about.

The bed was enormous, the bathroom immense and all immaculately clean and contemporary. Complimenatry bottled water was a nice touch.

Went for dinner in Fiamma in the MGM - great food, loved it.

Went to see Ká, also. Was very good, but I think I hyped the experience too much in my head beforehand and was not 'blown away'. Having said that, it was a great thing to do of an evening.
Only so much roulette to be played!

Best shopping city in the world - the Premium outlets are a must do and the Fashion Show mall is great.

As I said - 10/10 for the Signature.

Stayed in Tower 3 on the 33rd floor in early November. The suite was well appointed, with a spacious bathroom equipped with a comfortably large spa bath. The kitchenette was handy to prepare frozen daquiris & wash glasses, etc. The bed was comfy & large, with plenty of soft pillows. The large flat sceen TV hit the spot for a insomiac like me. The view from the balcony was crappy in the day, overlooking car parks & container yards, but was beautiful at night when the city lights spun their majic. The apartments are well removed from the bustle of the strip & are very quiet. As quiet as and reminiscent of a retirement village.
Downside? It's a damn long way from anything. Tower 3 is the furthest from MGM Grand. The casual hike was okay a couple of times & then became an annoying chore any other time. We ended up catching cabs everywhere, as the wife's knees packed it in. You're out walking the strip for ages all day & night, then have a major hike home. Even bypassing the casino & walking down the side street to shortcut means dodging building site rubble out onto the road and having to enter through the gatehouse, as no other entries are available.
Summary? Very comfortable, but inconvenient for us. Would suit peole more into hiking home.

On arriving made very welcome check in very fast. Room was junior suite was as expected. Plenty of room. massive bed. Massive bathroom with spa bath. Tvs in main room & bathroom. Were in Tower 1 the walk way to MGM was just off lobby. 2 moving walk ways did not seem far at all. Tower 2 has a deli called Delights. Great for breakfast a bit different from normal American one which was nice for a change. Used MGM for main meals, drinks and casino. Tried Wolfgang Puck was nice but felt like you werein the casino area as just of it.
Would recommend signature very pleasant staff also offered cold water & fruit at reception. Was a daily surcharge of $15 for use of gym, water, papers & internet access. Used reception to book shows again no problems and did not appear to inflate prices, they actually turned computer around for us to look at lay out of seats.
