My wife & I stayed at the Signature for 3 nights following a 4 night stay at the Luxor. What a difference. At the Luxor the bed coils dug into my body & the sink stunk. At the Signature we felt like royality.
When you arrive at the main gate the "guard" looks up your name & directs you to one of the 3 towers. We stayed at tower #2. A valet parks your car, and offers to take your luggage up (it takes 3-5 minutes for them to fetch your car when you want to take it out). No charge for valet parking - tip if you want. When we checked in about 2pm we asked for a higher room with a view, and the friendly staff found room 31-705 which was fantastic - 31st floor looking toward the Strip and the mountains to the West.
The like new Jr suite had a large king bed with plush mattress & comforter. There is a huge bathroom with whirlpool & separate 5'x5' shower; dual sinks; small TV; separate toilet area; hair dryer in the drawer; and nice shampoo, etc. Plush bathrobes are hanging in the closet, which has a safe. There is a sitting area with a couch, upholstered chair and coffee table, and a large desk with 2 chairs, and a balcony. The wall across from the bed holds a small stove, sink, fridge, microwave, like new skillets & utensils, toater, coffee maker w/coffee packets, and a 26" flat screen TV. The counters apper to be black Granite with contemporary cherry finish cabinetwork. Near the door is a push button switch to indicate for privicy or housekeeping which sets an indicator light on the hallway service panel. Housekeeping cleaned up everyday & did a great job.
The fabulous pool (each tower has one) has friendly helpers who take you to the lounge chairs where you want, and place a special chaise towel over the padded chaise - in addition to a regular dry-off towel. I addition to the large pool there are two jacuzzi wells - maybe 8' square each. Drinks are offered by roaming bar persons (Pina Colada's were yummi, $9, & easy to charge it to your room. Food is available. You can also go to the Grand pool if you like (we did not).
There is a nice deli in bld #2 for b-fast & lunch. Great food - courtous help -maybe 15 tables. we had a $24 credit there from our Spring package. Tower #1 has a exercise facility which we did not see. I would not be too concerned which tower you stay in as they are a 1 minute walk between them - with #1 being the closet to the MGM Grand.
From Tower #2 the walk to the MGM Grand is about 5 minutes - half on powered walkways - enclosed all the way. You enter the Grand near most of the restaruants and a food court with another 5 minute walk to the main entrance. We liked Wolfgang Puck's Grill in the Grand - where we had a $35 credit from the Signature Spring package (paid for lunch!)
I would recommend the Signature for those looking for an upscale & a bit quiter stay - but still close to the action.
