My wife & I stayed at the Signature for 3 nights following a 4 night stay at the Luxor. What a difference. At the Luxor the bed coils dug into my body & the sink stunk. At the Signature we felt like royality.

When you arrive at the main gate the "guard" looks up your name & directs you to one of the 3 towers. We stayed at tower #2. A valet parks your car, and offers to take your luggage up (it takes 3-5 minutes for them to fetch your car when you want to take it out). No charge for valet parking - tip if you want. When we checked in about 2pm we asked for a higher room with a view, and the friendly staff found room 31-705 which was fantastic - 31st floor looking toward the Strip and the mountains to the West.

The like new Jr suite had a large king bed with plush mattress & comforter. There is a huge bathroom with whirlpool & separate 5'x5' shower; dual sinks; small TV; separate toilet area; hair dryer in the drawer; and nice shampoo, etc. Plush bathrobes are hanging in the closet, which has a safe. There is a sitting area with a couch, upholstered chair and coffee table, and a large desk with 2 chairs, and a balcony. The wall across from the bed holds a small stove, sink, fridge, microwave, like new skillets & utensils, toater, coffee maker w/coffee packets, and a 26" flat screen TV. The counters apper to be black Granite with contemporary cherry finish cabinetwork. Near the door is a push button switch to indicate for privicy or housekeeping which sets an indicator light on the hallway service panel. Housekeeping cleaned up everyday & did a great job.

The fabulous pool (each tower has one) has friendly helpers who take you to the lounge chairs where you want, and place a special chaise towel over the padded chaise - in addition to a regular dry-off towel. I addition to the large pool there are two jacuzzi wells - maybe 8' square each. Drinks are offered by roaming bar persons (Pina Colada's were yummi, $9, & easy to charge it to your room. Food is available. You can also go to the Grand pool if you like (we did not).

There is a nice deli in bld #2 for b-fast & lunch. Great food - courtous help -maybe 15 tables. we had a $24 credit there from our Spring package. Tower #1 has a exercise facility which we did not see. I would not be too concerned which tower you stay in as they are a 1 minute walk between them - with #1 being the closet to the MGM Grand.

From Tower #2 the walk to the MGM Grand is about 5 minutes - half on powered walkways - enclosed all the way. You enter the Grand near most of the restaruants and a food court with another 5 minute walk to the main entrance. We liked Wolfgang Puck's Grill in the Grand - where we had a $35 credit from the Signature Spring package (paid for lunch!)

I would recommend the Signature for those looking for an upscale & a bit quiter stay - but still close to the action.

We were attending a conference in LV and the MGM conference hotel was booked solid, so we ended up at the MGM Signature. We could only book two days in advance, so were stuck with a ninth floor room without balcony. With no windows that could open it got quite stuffy, and the air conditioning was constantly on. When we turned the temperature up a bit to shut it off the heat came on! Talk about over conditioning.

We were told on Saturday that since we were staying for 7 days we should be able to change our room Sunday (when many people leave) but it wasn't possible. What was strange was rather than taking note of our request, they asked us to call back every ten minutes to check. Dysfunctional, not very customer friendly.

We took their business package, which included wireless Internet. Supposedly. However, it was very unreliable. We called reception and after a time they finally sent someone by to check it out, who told us that it was unusable through the entire hotel. They gave us a cable to used wired internet, which wasn't a good solution because there are two of us. But what bugs me more is they effectively lied when they said they were providing wireless Internet, if they knew it doesn't work properly. Clearly many people rely on internet these days for business and pleasure. Bizarrely, when we searched for access points there were several stronger points from "cheetah networks," which is a pay service ($7 an hour!). Considering their access points would have to be in the building, it made me wonder if it is some sort of bait and switch.

As for the hotel itself, it has a nice enough style with good quality finishes and art. But the pervasive music was puzzling, in the lobby, halls, restaurants, pools, you name it. I am open minded when it comes to music, but was irritated by the vacuous bubble gum style that seemed like it would be best enjoyed by pre-teens.

The staff were uniformly nice but you got the sense from them that they didn't have much control. The MGM Signature is a canned experience I wouldn't recommend for the business travel or anyone looking for more than a basic "nice" hotel stay, with below par exceptions.

we stayed at the signature for 8 nights in tower 2 and had the most wonderful stay! our room was on the 36th floor and had a view of the pool which was fabulous! our room was immaculate when we checked in at 3pm on the first day and we never had any problems with the housekeeping. the silver cutlery and china crockery were devine as were all of the appliances. i almost wish we had spent more time in our room. the bed is like heaven!

My sister stayed at the Venetian and when we visited her, the cheques for check-in were a mile long and when we tried to drop a bag off for her - the queues for the concierge and the bell desk were horrendous - we even had to queue for the lift to get down from her room and don't get me started on the queue for taxis!!! in comparison - we never queued once for anything at the signature - and we nearly always had the lift to ourselves and always got great loungers at the pool and quick poolside service :) and did we even have neighbours???

ok the walk to the MGM is quite long ( and i love walking) but if you exit the signature through the main gate and walk up Harmon Ave then you can be in the Miracle Mile shopping mall in 10 minutes and sat at Trader Vics supping mai tai's in 15!!

Overall a wonderful experience and i would not stay anywhere else in Vegas - unless i fancy queing for everything!!

oh one last thing - what a wonderful, and not very common in Vegas, luxury to have a balcony to enjoy that gorgeous sunshine and gentle breeze without leaving your hotel!!

I booked a travel package on Orbitz for a recent business trip to Las Vegas (CTIA show 2008) and got a Jr. Suite in the 3rd floor. It was one of the most meager suites available, but I have to say the Signature exceeded all expectations. I've stayed at the Alladin, Venetian, MGM, Mandalay Bay and other strip properties before and would rank the Signature as #1 easily.

It was nearly new and offered all of the business traveler friendly amenties I've come to appreciate; in-suite coffee, HDTV, wired and wireless high speed Internet, 4 A/C plugs at the desk, comfortable bed, and well appointed bathroom with fairly high end counters/fixtures, etc.

The Jr. Suite also had a refrigerator, small cooktop, toaster, microwave, and a sink for doing your own meals. Temperature controls were easy to use and worked well without being noisy, and there was no exterior noise that impeded work or sleep.

Outside the suite, the gym was a strong point. It was once of the nicest hotel gyms I've ever used; new, clean equipment, fresh towels, water bottles, and helpful staff. For an extra $15 convenience fee you get high speed Internet access, Gym access, coffee in suite, and a morning Wall St. Journal.

I did not use the pool facility and have no comment on this area of the property. All staff I encountered were friendly and helpful, and the moving sidewalks made quick work of the few minutes walk from the Signature to the MGM's Monorail stop, casino, shopping, etc.
Also, I did not have a car here and cannot speak to parking or driving ease at the property.

There is a Starbucks on the ground floor, and there is an onsite restaurant/cafe that serves meals from the kitchen. Food is decent here but not inexpensive.

I will definitely stay at the Signature MGM during my next Las Vegas trip.

Wow...where to start? We had a fantastic stay at the signature. So much so that I will not even look anywhere else when we stay in Vegas. To start with:
1. We had an early flight into Vegas so we arrived at the Hotel just after 9:00am. We fully expected to be waiting for a room. Instead, we were able to immediately book into a room on the 17th floor overlooking the strip. My brother and his wife were checking in as well and were told a room was not available yet but because we had a room, they could check our luggage into our room. My brother and sister in law asked if they could get a room on the 17th floor as well when one became available. Although not guaranteed, the front desk staff said they would try to accommodate. They said they could either call us in our room when a room was ready or call our cell phone or we could call back at 11:00 to check. They figured it would be a couple of hours. Well, much to our chagrin, by 10:30am they had a room and it was the room right next door!! This made it even better because there is an external door that locks the entrance to the two room doors that we were able to use. With the two doors closed, we never heard another person or anyone getting on or off the elevators that were close to our rooms. I doubt we would have heard them anyways. The rooms were so quiet and noise proofed.
2. The rooms were immaculate. We knew pretty close to what were were going to get given the other reviews we read and pictures but we were still very impressed when we got to see it for our own eyes. The bed and pillows were by far the most comfortable I have ever slept on in a hotel or almost anywhere else. For what they call a junior suite, we sure felt like we were in a penthouse or upgraded room. The bath tub was a two man jet tub and the shower has enough room for 6 people. The TV in the bathroom was a nice touch. The fridge was nice and cool and when we discovered there was no water, we called down to the desk and bottled water was delivered within 5 minutes. Again, the staff were very courteous on the phone and extremely helpful with whatever we had asked. They always referred to us by Mr. or Mrs. "lastname" and were prompt on every request. The fact the whole hotel is non smoking was a great bonus too. We also took advantage of the high speed wireless connection with our laptop and never had a problem. This was great when we were checking reviews of restaurants and such. We also were able to keep in touch back home and my wife could get to her facebook :)
3. Staying in Hotel 1 we timed the walk from the lobby to the entrance to the MGM Grand by the spa and pool. It took 2 minutes. That was walking at a normal pace on the moving pedways. My wife is 4 months pregnant and neither of us are in fantastic shape so if we thought the walk was not a problem then I think it should be fine for almost anyone. The walk through the casino to the strip took another 5 to 10 minutes but really not too bad at all. I mean, it is Vegas and if you don't expect to do quite a bit of walking then you did not do your homework. The monorail entrance was basically just outside the entrance to the Signature so it only takes 5 minutes from the lobby entrance to the monorail.
4. On checkout we had a late flight so we asked if we could store our luggage after we checked out and without question they accommodated. We stored our luggage in their storage area with no extra cost and when we went back to the hotel to grab a cab to the airport our luggage was brought out promptly and a cab was hailed for us within 5 minutes.
I cannot say enough good things about the Signature. I will without a doubt be back and I am recommending it to everyone.

PS - We knew that a $15 a day housekeeping fee was to be added on at the end with checkout but for some reason it did not show up on the bill so we were never charged for it and still had all the housekeeping we needed. We even mentioned it on checkout and they said, well, it's not there so do not worry about and have a great flight home....Top Notch!!!
