Wow! We went to Vegas for the first time in October and did a lot of research on where to stay. TripAdvisor's #1 ranking of The Signature sealed the deal for us, so we booked six days at these luxury condos. One of the best choices I've ever made!
Right from when we pulled up, the service was incredible and it stayed that way for our entire stay (possibly the best we've had in our life). We explained that it was our first time in Vegas and would love a room with a great view, and they booked us right into a suite with a balcony overlooking the strip on the 26th floor. The view was amazing! Upon getting to our room, we found that the cordless phone didn't work, so I called down to maintenance (there are a total of 3 phones in the room) and within ten minutes someone was up to fix it. Not bad for a hotel with over 1500 rooms!
Just for contrast, friends of ours who we went down to Vegas with were staying at the Excalibur. To really appreciate how amazing the Signature is, you have to visit one of the other hotels. Their room was small and cramped and very old, it smelled, and it overlooked the back of the hotel, lol. Ours was like an oasis in the desert in comparison. And there wasn't even that much of a difference in price.
Our room was impeccably clean, the bed was very comfy, the balcony was amazing, and the bathroom was incredible. A shower big enough to fit four, lol. And a TV by the vanity!
The only hesitation we had about booking was that many reviews mentioned how far away it was from the Strip. Ignore all of these people! From our room in tower 1 to the shops of the MGM Grand was about a six minute "walk" (you walk on electric walkways, like in airports, in an enclosed climate controlled environment), four more minutes to the casino floor, and about five more minutes to the Strip. Fifteen minutes isn't that bad (it takes that long to walk from the rooms in the Bellagio to the actual strip).
We didn't use the room service, or the pools, or the gym, so I can't comment on those. The $15 service fee is applied to everyone (even those who book through an online travel site), but c'mon - it's a whopping $15/day. You'll spend more than that on tipping valet parkers. And you get wireless internet that actually works all the time (a first in any hotel that we've EVER stayed at), a free paper, and all the bottled water you can drink (just ask for more from the valet parkers). And you'll more than save the $15 by the fact that the Signature's rooms come with a full functioning kitchen with fridge. We grabbed some basic groceries the first day we were there (bread, soup, muffins, juice, etc) and never bought a breakfast the entire stay. And it was nice to always have a snack ready when you got back to your room.
Overall, I would highly, highly, highly recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone. When we go back, we might stay at the Bellagio or Ventian, just to see what the difference is being more 'centre strip', but I would certainly stay at the Signature again.
